I use steam as a way to connect to my friends and try to keep track of my gameplay time.I like learning how much time I spend playing my games and Steam makes that easier.
No, I don't use anything like that.
only wow, uninstalled everything else,
(First of all I deleted my old comment, just incase it still shows...felt like I posted it in the wrong place!)I am currently using Steam and Origin, steam because I wanted to try Arma 2 with the Zombie mod and Origin because I am actively playing Battlefield 3.
Nope, Only play WoW and Diablo 3. Not really much time to play more due to work
I love steam, great access so many good indie games
Although I no longer play any games via Steam, the inter-game friend/chat functionality is pretty good. However, Blizzard now has an equivalent of that.

While I have used Steam to purchase content, and use it to set up multiplay on various games, I am not drawn to this style of software purchase. While electronic purchase is extremely convenient (not sure I see any significant pricing advantages), my "ownership" of the software license is not tied to physical media which i control. Similar to an eBOOK or purchasing a movie off of your cable provider, the end result of my purchase does not result in something that I have total control of going forward. There is no media so I can install the game without benefit of using the purchase service (Steam in this instance). My "owership" of what I've purchased is limited/constrained by the nature of the delivery mechanism. I may have purchased it but I don't truly own it. Its more of a lifetime lease that will disappear when Steam is unavailable and/or goes out of business. The only other issue I have is that the Steam client is somewhat "thick". I'd much prefer an option to have a more lightweight version with only the essentials, more stability, and a bit less heavy-handed with the way it hooks into the operating system.
I got Steam but only play Steam Games when the internet is down since you can acess the games without Steam open.
I do not use Steam - haven't even heard of it - and the only "digital distribution services" that I use (if I understand that description correctly) are a Netflix subscription for movies, and the iTunes Store for music (purchased media).
I use Steam, my game play alternates between mmorpg's and single player games.Digital downloads are convenient to buy and to re-install.
I do use steam, but on extremely occasions. WoW and Diablo are enough for me :D
I don't use Steam much since I spend most of my game time on MMO games
I use stream! It's fantastic for digital downloads and I can chat with a lot of people who have my same games.
I just wanna win the cinderkitten :-D
I HAVE Steam... I just like.. never use it. WoW however speaks for it's self.GL to you all ^^
None other than WoW. The digital download streams always seem somewhat unreliable.
