Canadian Football Future
Well, since I saw this, that means future knew I would be looking into the orb and all the rules of doing such. As I am an extreme practical joker, I could see myself setting up the situation so that I could find the most absurd thing ever to "become hooked on" and set up an entire room to make myself thing I was going to become hooked on it. Since it was a specific time in the future, I think that would be the most likely situation..
I set up a room in my home for a year to look like a CFL fan just to troll myself in the past...yup...sounds like something I would do.

I think that if it was established that there was nothing I could do to alter or change the future, I don't think I'd even look TBH. Can't imagine the point of it, and I could see a lot of ways in which it could stress me out.

It doesn't make sense that only one point in time would be fixed, if that was true what would happen if I went outside right before the scene i watched in the optical portal happens, do i get teleported back to my couch? Or am I unable to get off my couch, forced to sit smiling with my jersey until that moment happens. the whole idea of having a point set in the future is that, the path to get there has already been made, if you change any part of the path the "new" future will be different.

Well, if we take Doctor Who into account, if you change a fixed point in time... time will freeze and begin to collapse unless you get your butt on that couch and watch that game. lol

that's kinda my point, you have to be on that couch, so what ever set you up for that moment has already happened and you can't change it.

I'd watch the game. If something really important happened, later me wouldn't forgive myself for missing it.
I don't follow sports at the moment though, so I'd probably have to be inebriated. In which case I'd probably miss the important thing anyway.

Synesthesia
You are forced to give up one of your five senses (smell, sight, taste, touch or hearing). However, you may choose to compensate for the loss by means of synesthesia. For example, if you decide to give up your sense of sight, you can choose to smell colors instead. Or if you give up hearing, you might opt to taste music. If you give up taste, you could replace this sensation by feeling flavors. Basically, whatever sense you reject would be reflected through an alternative medium.
Which of your senses would you surrender and how would you replace it?

I would give up my sense of smell and compensate with my sense of hearing. I have no idea how someone could hear a smell but I'd like to experience it.

I would give up taste, and instead feel flavors through touch.

Since taste and smell are fairly closely related, are we assuming that one is still completely intact if you take away the other?
If that's the case I'd probably give up smell and opt to see smell instead.

That could be a very bad thing Elhonna. Ever got something nasty on your hands, or fell and landed in something gross?

Can I give up hearing to see music.

I'd give up smell and taste it instead... works okay for snakes and it's all chemosensation.

Collarbones 'n Chains
You meet your soul mate. However, there is a catch: Every three years, someone will break both of your soul mate's collarbones with a Crescent wrench, and there is only one way you can stop this from happening: You must swallow a pill that will make every song you hear -- for the rest of your life -- sound as if it's being performed by the band Alice in Chains. When you hear Creedence Clearwater Revival on the raid, it will sound (to your ears) like it's being played by Alice in Chains. If you see Radiohead live, every one of their tunes will sound like it's being covered by Alice in Chains. When you hear a commercial jingle on TV, it will sound like Alice in Chains; if you sing to yourself in the shower, your voice will sound like deceased Alice in Chains vocalist Layne Staley performing a cappella (but it will only sound this way to you).
Would you swallow the pill?

I would swallow the pill, i think it would be a bit selfish not to.(##RESPBREAK##)12##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

This answer is easy!
Break up with my soul mate. No soul mate, no chance of either of us getting our necks shattered, and thus no need to take the pill or harm someone I could potentially care about.
I guess I'll answer the last one too - I'd give up the ability to smell. I would choose to replace it with nothing and god forbid I might even sew my nose shut too if it didn't harm my respiratory system.
Did I mention I hate allergy season?
