Vashadya Duskwind
Feralas
Vashadya brought up the rear, watching over the others in case anything happened. The priestess appeared somewhat less exhausted than when they had left Feralas, keeping pace, but no less bedraggled, mooncloth robes dirtied with blood and dirt alike.

James snapped off a bark of laughter. "Lass, yer hardly tha strangest thing I've ever seen. Ya have no worries on tha' account. Nay," he added, eying her shrewdly. "Tha only thing I were wonderin' about was why a pretty young thing like ye be with a pair a scruffy men like they." He jerked a thumb at the pair leading the party.

"Mister Screwspigot says it isn't safe for one such as me to wander all alone," Arenei answered, keeping her tone measured and calm. "It makes sense. I... don't know much about this world. Nor can I remember how I came here."
Character: Kitanga
Location: The Barrens
"Mmm. That makes sense. Perhaps I shall go find some prey," Kitanga nodded, moving the child off her lap and rising to her feet.

James gave her a measured look. "Such a ye?" he asked. Reaching into a pocket he pulled free a pipe and a box of tobacco. "What de ye mean such as ye? Yer only a draenei. A wee one, but a draenei." Stuffing his pipe, he struck a match and gave a contemplative puff. Taking it away he breathed out a single smoke ring. "But ah suppose ah c' understand 'is caution. Wanderin' alone is no 'abit fer a young lady."

"I see you are familiar with the draenei. Perhaps that will make understanding easier," Arenei answered, giving a forced smile. "I cannot speak for the rest of my people, but I possess a handicap, that to my knowledge is unique to myself. You see, while I have been told that I am many thousands of years old, I cannot remember anything beyond the last few years. I do not remember the crash of the Exodar, nor do I remember the genocide of my people, only what I have been told about those things since my accident..." she paused, giving the dwarf a moment to take in what she was saying.
"Nor am I able to feel emotions in the same way as others. I don't remember what it is to be happy, or to be sad or angry. Not in the way others have described them to me, at any rate... It is hard to explain. I can feel good, I suppose, and bad, but it as if I were watching myself from far away and someone was asking if the things that were happening to this body were good or bad. Does that make sense?"
"At any rate, after some time spent wandering, I met Mister Screwspigot. He gave me purpose. I protect him, and he prevents me from inadvertently putting myself in harm's way. It seems preferable to being alone, I think."

James mulled this over his puffing pipe. Finally he pulled it free and looked skyward for some form of inspiration. "Aye. Sounds about right. Though ye got me curious lass. What do ye know of yer past beyond those years? Didn'a someone give ya tha facts a yer prior existence? Or matter a fact, why d' ye hang around with the goblin specifically? Did 'e find ye after ye lost yer memories or some such?"

"That's alright. From what I've been told, hunting with a shaman is not much fun anyway. Less tracking and stalking and more ritual and waiting," Kitanga answered. "It shouldn't take long though."

"I met him in Booty Bay. I... I am not totally sure why I was there. But it was there that I met Master Screwspigot and he promised to keep me out of trouble. Since then, I've been piecing together what happened to my people and I, and why the last thing I can remember was being lost in Booty Bay a few months ago."

"I don't think that my memory loss was due to an accident," Arenei answered flatly. "Ivan mentioned once that he knew a way that someone could take away a person's memories, but when I asked him about it, he wouldn't tell me. That's why I'm following Master Screwspigot, because he and Ivan are the only ones who can lead me to the truth."
Character: Gurka, Dag'rema
Location: Darnassus
Gurka continued to followed Rotha, hardly paying any heed to the argument between Tyrande and Adalis. All that mattered was finding a way to end Nightbane's killing spree and send her into whatever came after death for her kind.
Dag'rema, meanwhile, slacked behind, keeping a slow arrhythmic pace as she leaned heavily on her staff. Her eyes were unfocused and cloudy as she tried to follow behind Gurka.
Character: Kitanga
Location: The Barrens
Kitanga got to her feet, checking the edges on her axes before replacing them on her belt, satisfied. Quickly taking on the form of a ethereal wolf, she dashed away from the campsite, howling.
It didn't take long for her to return, as she'd promised. She returned carrying a large gazelle buck on her shoulders, a gift from the wilds. She'd apparently already cleaned the carcass, and blood dripped from the gash in its belly and ran down the back of the orc's neck and was starting to make her shirt stick to her skin.
When she reached the fire, she hefted it off of her back and onto the ground, where she set about butchering it into smaller cuts.
"Yeah, you wouldn't have found that much fun," she chuckled quietly. "No chase. No hunt. It just walked up and permitted me to kill it."

The dwarf sucked on his pipe contemplatively. His eyes bored into the goblin's back. SLowly he took the pipe from his mouth. "Ah see. Well..." He mused, tapping the pipe against a passing tree trunk, sending ashes flickering to the ground. "Well. Well. Lass. If ya ask me, which ya did'na, but I'll tell ya all tha same. Seems ta me yer relyin' on thar goblin a fair amount. Seems ta me ya might want ta get yerself ta tha Exodar. 'S where yer people started off 'ere. Good chance ya might pick up a more complete trail if ya visit there."

"I've considered it," Arenei answered slowly. "The primary issue comes from attempting travel alone across the continent of Kalimdor. I don't even remember where it is, nor do I know if they could help me..." she paused, lowering her voice. "Besides that, I know that Ivan knows something. I simply must find out what it is."

Character: Gurka, Dag'rema
Location: Darnassus
Gurka took a deep breath, focusing on keeping herself calm. She felt so tired, but she knew that she couldn't rest until Nightbane had been dealt with. Silently she reminded herself that no matter how tired she felt, she must still feel leagues better than Dag'rema, who seemed to be on the verge of collapse. The warlock could barely stand, and it made the shaman wonder how she could muster the will to hold herself up at all.
Character: Kitanga

"It's certainly not as exciting, but its how the spirits ask for me to hunt," Kitanga added, skinning the kill. She glanced at the half-orc, noting the malicious look, but said nothing more.

Arenei sighed, looking down at her feet. "I suppose I should be frightened, or upset about what's happened," she started, "but even those feeling have been stolen from--"
She was interrupted by Ivan and Bizzix loudly stomping through the brush. "I told you the tracks went this way," the goblin was saying. "Wait. Doesn't that tree look familiar?"
"Of course it does," Ivan replied brusquely. "I told
you
that you were pulling to the left."
"Well then where did the tracks go?" Bizzix demanded impatiently.

Vashadya Duskwind
Teldrassil, Darnassus
Vashadya had placed her hands gently upon Rotha's shoulders at the worg's drawing close, but was forced to let go at the elder priestess' summons. Quiet, the night elf detached herself from the sanctuary of the arch, approaching Adalis.
