Gurka sighed again and tied her fistblades back onto her belt. "I guess we have to finish this..." she muttered, clearly exhausted. "We can't stop yet."

Vashadya nodded. "I believe that would best," the priestess breathed in agreement, nevertheless feeling somewhat drained.

Although not normally one to waver in Adalis' presence, Vashadya shrank back. "I... She... I..." the night elf stuttered, caught off guard, unable to meet the elder priestess' eyes, "I do not know..."

"..." Vashadya's jaw worked silently for a moment, taking a moment to muster up the courage to respond. "I...
It is personal,"
she answered, in a low voice only a few decibels above a whisper, turning to her mothertongue for sanctuary partway through the sentence.

Vashadya appeared defeated, but no less distressed, wringing her hands fearfully, knowing the other elf was right even with the merciless stare aside. Her voice dropped further in volume,
"when we were in the Barrens, I dreamed of the temple... Though it was wrong, no creatures of the forest stirred and all the leaves were still... and when I looked to the blessed river I saw her."
"She did not say it so, but she told me she... loved me,"
the priestess managed, after a lengthy pause that to her felt like eons, her orange eyes lifting and meeting Adalis' silver.

Vashadya fought to keep her features under control, an anticipatory blush turning her grey-blue skin a deep purple, though the question of what she had said in response never came, and so the priestess breathed a shuddering sigh of relief. Not that she suspected it was anything other than a false sense at that, yet nevertheless letting Adalis guess for herself felt better than having to come out with the answer.
"A trap?" the priestess repeated eventually, a hint of doubt perciptible in her tone.

"If it's that simple, why didn't we do it a few moments ago when she was already drawn to us?" Gurka asked.

"Gurka did not know," Vashadya reminded Adalis quietly, looking over to the shaman with an apologetic expression, "though I do not understand how we will be able to draw her to me deliberately."

Gurka nodded, and then smacked her forehead. "Fel.." she muttered, jabbing the ground with her foot and bringing Dag'rema to the surface. The warlock had regained consciousness, and struggled to her feet immediately with a near-crazed look in her eyes. Dried blood ran down her face, sticking her hair to her skin, and her eyes were sunken and baggy. Her lips were curled in a sneer, and had gone dry and cracked.
Gurka sighed. "Sorry..." she stated flatly.

"Dag'rema?" Vashadya began, visibly startled, the warlock having escaped her mind too in the heat of battle... and Adalis' probing.

Dag'rema clenched her fists and glared at Gurka, looking like she was about to lash out physically, but finally turned away. "Leave me alone..." she hissed, digging her nails into her palms as she stormed off.
Gurka frowned and watched the warlock walk away.
