Feralas
Vashadya took a step back, noting Dag'rema's gasp with concern, but did not step in again when the warlock showed no signs of being hurt by the spell.

Vashadya Duskwind
Feralas
Vashadya followed Rotha into the village, taking care to keep an eye on Dag'rema, in case the orc was having further difficulties managing the journey.

Character:
Varyn Brighthammer, Mordecai
Location:
Dragonblight
Mordecai said nothing. He seemed indeed to have lost any interest in Malice now that she was away from Damocles and Varyn. These he had turned his head towards, his assumption of what the man in the coat intended having been confirmed.
Varyn twitched as though every fiber of his body was resisting the order given, convulsions sending the many pockets of his robes rattling, teeth clenching. All the while Damocles kept a tight grip upon the mage, waiting, watching, until at last he was submitted a single small nod.
"Y...Yes," Varyn gasped with glassy eyes and a traitorous tongue.
"I see negotiations broke down then," Sir Woecce observed blandly, walking towards the party. "Pity that. Back to the subject at hand miss..." He snapped his fingers at Malice demonstratively, "Mary, yes? Anyway, what was that? Fixing? Yes, well, we'll give it a go then. Doesn't much matter in the end but we'll give it a shot all the same."

Dag'rema wiped her brow again, finding it once more drenched in sweat. She stubbornly refused to fall out of the march, but the physical toll it was taking on her was evident.
Gurka prowled around the formation in spirit wolf form, often scouting out the territory ahead of them or hanging behind to watch the rear. Kitanga meanwhile stayed closer to the center with the children.
Character: Snowmane, Malice
Location: Dragonblight
Snowmane blinked as she witnessed the scene, breaking into a run as she spotted Varyn at the center of it.
"What's going on?" she demanded, trying to charge a shield spell on the other mage, but finding her mind to be too foggy to put the chant into the right terms.
Malice meanwhile strained around Mordecai's grip, broken bones and twisted imitation flesh struggling to squeeze through his fingers.

"Merely tying up loose ends," Damocles replied to Snowmane, releasing Varyn from his hold. The mage staggered as though drunk, slowly blinking as sense crawled back lethargically.
Sir Woecce nodded in understanding. His brows shot up sharply as his glass eye swiveled expectantly onto Mordecai. "Stop him!" he cried, reaching for a weapon.
The death knight had not yet acted before the man in the poncho drew a pistol and fired once, the knight in gleaming armour threw himself forward, and Damocles himself had raised his own weapon. Mordecai took the bullet in arm without flinching, met the knight's tackle squarely, and used the attacks momentum to spin round, and fling Malice away from him and into the freezing abyss over the cliff.

Gurka returned to her orc form and looked down at the cub. "What's wrong?" she asked, kneeling down to meet his eye level. "Do you need help?"
Character: Snowmane
Location: Dragonblight
"You can't hurt either of them!" Snowmane shouted, running after Damocles, simple fire arcane blast spells already condensing in her hands. "They're both natives of this timeline!"
Malice meanwhile fell, and as she fell she strained to pull herself back together. Her ribs wrenched themselves back into place, her skin knit itself back together, and her muscles pulled themselves into their proper shapes.
As Malice's fragmented consciousness began to grasp what was happening, though, she watched as the top off the cliff shot away from her and was eventually obscured completely by the thin fog in the air.
After what seemed like ages, she finally hit the ground with bone-snapping force, and proved that her attempts to repair herself were in vain. All of the major bones in her body were shattered almost instantly, and her internal cavities ruptured and splattered upon the icy rock. Anyone who might have witnessed the greenish smear that was left over would never have known that it had once resembled a person.
Without fail, though, the bits of mimicked bone and imitation flesh dissolved back into the fel protoplasm that Malice seemed to be composed of, and new structures began to build themselves.

Without replying to Snowmane Damocles grabbed a surprised Vaudeville by the suspender strap. A tug brought them eye to eye. "Get her," he instructed the paradox, voice calm with silent menace. Not even waiting for the monochrome man's reply he hurled Vaudeville over the cliff. His eyes next caught 67, who stood rigidly still.
"I'll just...yeah." With a snap of smoke and air refilling empty space he was gone.
Almost lethargically, Damocles glanced to Snowmane. His eyes were cold and flat like mirrors, his voice empty of tone like a frozen lake as he spoke. "Do shut up."
"Quickly!" Sir Woecce ordered, already starting down the trail. "After her! We must catch her quickly! I'll be late! It's already half past scotch o'clock!" The gunman followed, poncho flapping in the icy wind, while the cyber knight jumped off the edge of the cliff, his boots squealing and raining sparks as he dug them into the cliff and descended down the mountain side.
As Damocles followed he let his eyes rest on Snowmane until forced to turn away as he hurried down the mountain trail and back towards the ground.
As though blown away by the wind of ParCon's departure Varyn fell back and into Mordecai's waiting hands.

Vashadya Duskwind
Feralas
Vashadya nodded in affirmation.
"Tread carefully,"
the priestess added in her mothertongue, watching the worg leave, repeating the old night elven caution.

"Mommy!"
A child's vice, high with happiness wafted through the unforgiving winter winds, accompanied by the warm smell of baking bread and a welcome hearth. These sounds crept tantalizingly from a crack glowing gold in the air, like a wound in reality itself, reaching with its temptations towards the shattered figure lying amidst the jagged black rocks. Golden light illuminated the cracked green of false flesh and blood, the sounds and smells warming her as though to soothe Malice's pains.
