Character:
Varyn Brighthammer, Mordecai
Location:
Sanctum beneath the Sands
In an instant Varyn was at Snowmane's side and, as a consequence, so was Mordecai. "Snowmane! Are you well? Can we do anything?" he cried, hands hovering near her as though afraid she might topple once more.
The mage cast a furious look at the bronze dragon, who in way of reply merely pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose.

"She's not with you?" Gurka asked, frowning. "I haven't seen her."
Kitanga looked at the pandaren, not sure what to say. "She's with the spirits," she settled on. "She can't come back."
She knew it would upset him, probably for a very long time, but she couldn't bring herself to give him false hope.
Character: Snowmane
Location: Dragonblight
"I'm... I'm fine..." Snowmane managed to stutter back. "Just... just a little overwhelmed. He says those time police fellows won't follow me anymore, though."

In surprise, Varyn turned and raised a brow at the dragon, who nodded once in confirmation. "Indeed. I have weaved Miss Bloodhowl into the timeline. She is no longer a paradox. You may now get off my property in peace." The dragon then produced a brown paper bag and held it towards the group. "Also I have prepared a doggy bag of tiny sandwiches for you to take," he deadpanned.

Snowmane took a deep breath, once again getting used to her surroundings. "Alright, we're going..." she answered, grabbing the bag and looking for the exit.

By then Vashadya was out of earshot, making her way up a rise to higher ground, her eyes peeled for any sign of Dag'rema.

Gurka picked up a stick, and set to whittling away at it with her hunting knife.
"I wish it weren't true," Kitanga gently answered the Pandaren cub. "If you want to cry, it's okay."
Dag'rema stood at the base of a tree, her claw-like nails buried in its bark, and slowly pulled the life from it.

Gurka finished carving her totem, and then planted it in the ground. A spirit wolf slowly faded into existence.
Find Dag'rema,
she asked. The wolf sniffed for a moment, before sprinting off towards the woodline.
"It's going to be alright," Kitanga whispered, before looking at the others. A cool wind blew, catching in her hair. Suddenly, she had an idea. "Does anyone want to hear a story?"
Dag'rema sat down at the base of the dead tree, a slight green glow muddying her violet eyes. She felt better. Much better.
She wondered if the others would be looking for her yet. Probably, knowing Gurka. The question was whether or not to keep going.

The door they had entered through remained open. Beside it stood their guide from before, silent and austere with arms clasped behind his back. Kert Diallus inclined his head towards them and nodded, stepping through the door pointedly.

Snowmane made for the door, eager to get back to real land that played nice with the model of reality she had in her head. She gave the guide a curt nod as she passed him,

Casting a last look at the bronze Varyn followed. Leading them through the corridor once more, the group soon found themselves through the timeless halls and at the massive doors. Unlocking them with the same key, Kert stood at one side while he ushered them back into the stone cavern.
With a clang and click of a thousand tiny mechanisms the door was shut behind them. Varyn sighed, feeling a tension he had not known he carried seep away to be replaced by the chill of the cave. With obvious reluctance to stay he began down the path once more, step heavy but growing light. "Well," Varyn said in a light tone, making an effort to brighten for the worgen's sake, "you are now free, according to the one in there. How does it feel?"

"It's hard to say..." Snowmane answered, beginning to feel tipsy again. "I'm almost afraid to trust them. What if they just want me to let my guard down?" she asked, before sighing and shaking her head. "I'm probably just being paranoid though."

Varyn assured her it was perfectly natural to feel as such. What he did not say was that she was not the only one, but he needn't have had to. If the worgen looked she might notice the fact that not once had Mordecai relinquished his blade, nor had Varyn completely banished gathered arcane energy coalescing about his fist. Even listening she might hear the slight tremor which ever undercut Varyn's speech, his uncertainty when speaking to the archmage, so much more knowledgeable than he, and still so much an enigma.
But Varyn never trusted. Never completely. And had the danger to Snowmane not been so great, he would have forced her away long before. They had that much in common, he supposed. People in their vicinity tended to be harmed.
"Paranoia is imperative to one's survival, but it is okay to relax now and then," Varyn concluded amiably. "Though when those occasions arise it can be difficult to know," he admitted with a weak attempt at humour.

"Most of the time, it doesn't bother me," Snowmane confessed. "Being depressed so much of the time makes it a lot easier to not worry for your life," she added with a weary chuckle. "But people have been trying to hurt or kill me for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it's hard to brush that off."

Varyn smiled a sad little smile, thrown long across his face with shadows as the opening of the cave came near. He understood far too well. But that was not what Snowmane wanted to hear.
He stepped outside.
Lightning lanced across his path. Varyn jerked, every muscle clenched in position, electricity racing through him to complete the circuit. His eyes wide, he glanced to the side and found Mordecai in much the same state, the giant of a death knight frozen in the midst of raising his blade.

Snowmane's blinked, suddenly realizing the danger they were in. "Hold on Varyn, let me see if I can get you out," she said, looking for where the electricity was arcing from. Being careful not to touch the mage, she circled around him and looked for the other electrode. Spotting it, she took a cautious step forward. Suddenly she felt a tingling sensation as her fur stood on end, and, without warning, the current crackled through the air, into her fur, and seized up her muscles.
She gasped forcefully as her diaphragm artificially contracted and pulled air into her lungs, and began to panic when she found she couldn't exhale again.

Character: Aldos
Location: Feralas
Aldos sat down on a fallen log and looked around at the damage before looking over at the children. "What monster could take a family from some one so young?" Insindra asked as she landed on Aldos' shoulder. "I can't believe Nightbane did this." Aldos said. "Killing is all she knows now. She's just a mindless beast now." She said but stopped as a fire erupted before Aldos burning the ground beneath it but not spreading any further. "Aldos?" Isindra nudged him. "She has to burn."
Character: Leaf-Pelt

From the edge of Brutus' office Leaf-Pelt appeared. "Hello brother." She said. "It's nice to finally meet you."
