Snowmane nodded and looked back to Mordecai. "Is he going to be okay?"

"You mean he can't see us right now?" Malice asked.

Varyn looked to the slumped death knight, the light which burned within the sockets of his helm dark. The mage smiled slightly. "Yes. He should be fine. I fear traveling here exhausted him. Though his mount could doubtless have made the trip and many more league without tiring, forming the path of frost beneath the hooves required some energy." Varyn looked back to Snowmane. "He merely needs rest. Though, i strongly advise against touching him."

"Duly noted," Snowmane nodded. "I just hope he recovers before it's time to sleep again."

"And what if you tried to escape?" she asked.

With a hiss Vaudeville's cigar hit the ground.
67 stood in rigid silence beside Malice. He suddenly laughed, a somewhat shriller sound than his normal boisterous tone. "Haha! Good one! Ha! Right! You're funny. Ha! Escape, oh man, haha...ha." Suddenly sobering 67 turned to face Malice. "Oh fel you're not serious are you?"

"A-ah," Varyn remarked, looking about the hold, eyes lingering on Snowmane's sleeping area. "R-right. I will be ah...certain to move him when that time comes, I assure you Miss Snowmane."

Character: Gurka, Dag'rema, Kitanga
Location: Feralas
Dag'rema stood back for the moment, eager to avoid attracting Nightbane's attention. She suddenly considered running, making for the road, and leaving this group behind altogether.
Gurka gasped as her broken leg knit itself back together, but got to her feet as soon as she had fully recovered. She nodded to Adalis and took the helmet and the arrow from her belt and looked for the final pedestal Adalis had mentioned.
Hopefully this would be over soon.
Kitanga promptly began praying, calling the spirits to help Silver-Pelt.
Character: Snowmane
Location: The Great Sea
"If you say so," Snowmane answered, shrugging once more. "You know, I might have asked this before, but am I correct in assuming you do not know the spell to make a portal to Dalaran?"
Character: Malice
Location: Clockworks
"I imagine he put some kind of tracing spell into us, yes?" Malice asked. "Or has the capability of looking backwards at our path with time travel?" she asked. "What kind of capabilities does he have to recapture us if he has to?"

Vashadya Duskwind

Vashadya pulled herself back to her feet, casting a quick pain suppression spell in the process, and limped over to Rotha's side.

"Promise of what he'll do if he does," Vaudeville replied. Watching as his cigar on the ground dissolved into inky fumes, he frowned deeply and produced a spare one before plopping it into his mouth. Shielding the end with a palm, he flicked a match and lit the cigar before taking a long drag. "Knowledge is power."
"How much do you remember after he stuck you in the Midnight Room?" 67 asked, his S's becoming somewhat strained as he failed to completely control his forked tongue. "The big room with white wallss."

Smiling self consciously, Varyn affirmed her assumption.

"I was just curious. It would make me feel awfully silly to be sailing there when we had a portal spell," Snowmane said, chuckling quietly. "I know the portal spell to
my
Dalaran, but that hasn't been built in this timeline. I have no idea where it might take us."
Character: Malice
Location: Clockworks
"I remember plenty," Malice answered shrugging. "Forgive me for being more afraid of staying a twisted monster wearing a human face for the rest of eternity than anything that man can do to me."

"There's worse things than being a monster," 67 muttered in an underotne, unconsciously picking at a frayed end of the bandages which clung about his head. "Listen, I'll tell you thiss now as a gessture of awareness of our shared sstate. Be aware. No matter what he ssayss or what you think," 67reached down and plucked a piece of the wooden docks, holding up the wood before her accsingly, "he hass more empathy for this piesse of wood than he hass for you!"
67 leaned in close. "I've ssmelled the children he alwayss tries to catch alive, and the gunpowder from the bombss he sstraps to their chesstss when he pretendss they esscape during negotiationss, and run to their parentss. The men and women he'ss grabbed and done whatever he does that makess them turn on the oness they've moved heaven and earth for, jusst to avoid the chance of a repeat performansse of hiss magic handss," 67 hissed, clicking his metal claws against each other. "If you think you're immune, or have nothing to care for, don't. No matter how much time you think you sspent in the Midnight Room, I know you've spent long enough to sspill every ssecret you hold dear. I've been with him when he walks out with ssome poor sap. Not a mark. But i can ssmell the blood on Damocles's handss, and worsse when it issn't just blood. And I know that he does that I can.
"We can mock him, teasse him, but remember! The only reasson we can iss becausse he thinkss nothing of uss! He knowss exactly what makess us tick. Each and every one."
Vaudeville frowned, acrid smoke steaming from the dark tunnels of his monochromatic nostrils. 67 straightened and smoothed his robs with the rounded edge of his metal hands, forcing himself to breathe evenly. His tongue flicked between his jagged teeth, licking the pieces of cracking skin showing between the linen. "And believe you me, we don't run, and won't let you do the same, because fear is subjective. And he wrote the damn book on us."

"I won't run," Malice answered, glaring at the pair. "Not yet, at least. But I promise you, whether it means escape or death, I will not stay this way forever. I can't. That thought is worse than anything I endured in that room. And don't you dare pretend you know what it's like..." she hissed.

"Pretend!" Throwing back his head 67 laughed. Teeth sharp as daggers clacked against one another as he chortled horribly. Suddenly throwing his head forward, 67 bared his teeth at the woman. "I was a man once! I had a name...Do you know what happens when you force human and voidstalker together?" he viciously asked. "I do! It's not pretty," he hissed bitterly.
His talon jabbed Malice in the chest, punctuating everything he said. "Don't even try to put your pain before ours. None of us can be saved now. We're all damned." Jabbing his claws into the corners of toothy maw, he pulled at the corner of his lips to form a hateful smile. "So put on a happy face! At least you've got one that still looks human!"

"I had a family," Malice answered, staring into 67's reptilian eyes. "I had children. Now I can't be around them, because I don't know when my mind will slip and I'll cut their throats. No matter what happened to your body, I promise you, it feels better than losing your mind to the inhuman things worming their way through your brain..." she went on, spitting on the dock, which promptly corroded a hole through the wood. "If I can't be saved, then I will die, because I won't live this way forever."

Hoping that Nightbane's attention would be focused on the others, Dag'rema stepped forward and hurled a few felbolts into the other spectre.
Gurka gently lifted the urn from the pedestal, hoping that was what she was supposed to do.
Kitanga sighed with relief as Silver-Pelt seemed to awaken.

Vashadya Duskwind
Feralas
Vashadya paused for a moment, using her staff to maintain balance, and used her free hand to channel some of her own energy into Rotha. After a few moments the night elf's orange eyes moved back in the direction of the others and, remembering Adalis' story about the sparrow, she pressed on, scanning her surroundings for any sign of the tiny avian.
