"Why?" Dag'rema asked. "I wouldn't imagine she is any more eager to speak with me than I am with her."

"Then why would it be her duty to speak with an Orcish warlock?" Dag'rema asked skeptically.

"I'm tired of talking..." Dag'rema grumbled. "It's clear you'll never understand me, and I'll never understand you."

"You're a believer," Dag'rema answered. "You believe in destiny. You believe that your Goddess will protect you. You believe everything is going to be alright. I don't. I can't."

"And
you
clearly have not been paying attention," Dag'rema barked back. "I don't dwell on what happened in the past. I only consider the future. I'm not running on some hate that I built up a long time ago. It's all that I feel! It's the reason I get up in the morning," she spat, gnashing her teeth. "I already killed my mother, who made me this way! I hate my sister, but killing her won't make it go away! It's this world! It's this existance that I hate! Every single day!"
She growled, nostrils flaring, and turned back towards the water. Gurka frowned and walked over to where the warlock was standing. "Is there a problem?" she asked, her right hand running over her fistblades hanging from her belt.

Gurka looked sternly down at Rotha, and then back up at Dag'rema. "I don't care who you hate or why. The only reason you're alive right now is because you haven't managed to slip up yet," she stated firmly. "But the second I feel that any of us are in danger, I'm going to put this through your black heart," she paused, tapping the fistblade. "And this time, I
won't
hesitate."
Dag'rema merely glowered back, grating her teeth. Kitanga looked over from the other end of the boat, afraid to say anything.

Gurka growled back and returned to her position at the opposite railing, leaning against it and watching Dag'rema.

Gurka shrugged and continued watching Dag'rema. Suddenly one of the crew on the ferry blew a whistle to signal their approach of the dock.

Gurka moved after Rotha, helping the dockworkers tie off the boat, keeping an eye on Dag'rema throughout. Dag'rema meanwhile merely stood angrily in the back, trying to avoid looking at Kitanga, who stood back by Vashadya.
