Peter slowed down with surprise at the sudden remonstration. "P-pardon?"

"When that fool realizes you just gave him his own purse he's gonna be pretty damn angry," she told the priest, yanking him forwards when he tried to slow down.

"I..." Peter hushed his voice to a whisper. "I did?"

Elsa sighed, her anger subsiding as she remembered there was no way for Peter to have known, "you did. You only pay for gryphons at the place you get them, not your destination," she added. Truth be told she was not exactly sure if that was true, but having to pay at both ends seemed highly illogical to her.

"Oh...I'm, sorry," he said, though he wasn't exactly sure what he was apologizing about.

The pickpocket sighed again and slowed her pace slightly, "you must think I'm a total b%^&*," she stated bluntly.

"No, no. Little coarse, will admit. Rude. And, ah...not, morally, what am accustomed to. But!" he quickly added before she could say anything. "Refreshing! Very to the point. And very, ah...forceful? No...Independant! Yes. That. And," Peter clasped his hands behind his back awkwardly, "grateful, for your help. Really. Do appreciate it. And, your company. Certainly."

Elsa gave Peter a skeptical look, clearly not convinced, but said nothing.

Tristram Mahone
Goldshire
Tristram grinned. He loved talking about his farm. "It's mine, born and raised there. Back when it was my parents, it was quite a bit bitter. But now, well," he paused, laughing. "I don't have the time. There's a lot of empty space, but I've still got a few cows, chickens and pigs, as well as vegetables and herbs. Enough that I can managed it when I'm not needed in the mines."

"Cows are the best," Tiziana smiled. "So cute."
"I prefer pigs," Titus disagreed. "And or cats."
"You crazy cat lady," she countered. Titus laughed, and so did she. Regaining her composure, she continued the chat with Tristram: "So you're a miner? Down south?"

"I like dogs, but I don't have one," Tristram said, adding in his two copper. "And naw, just around the area, more north than south. I don't mind it, it's honest work with honest pay," he shrugged. "But it will be nice to take a vacation for a while," Tristram laughed.

"It
is
nice," Tiziana agreed. "We were like, sitting in the tavern, and Titus just went 'I wanna go to Westfall'. So we were going."
She shrugged. "Such a coincidence that you showed up right at that time."

"Yeah, that's kinda how it was with Vivica and Roland. They saved my left, I went to thank them, and voila, here I am," Tristram said with a chuckle. "It'll be fun, I'm sure of it."

"Of course it will," Tiziana smiled. "Can't wait to actually get out on the plains and hills, it's so beautiful!"
She shot a glance at Tristram and tied her hair back in a loose ponytail.
"How long are you supplied for?" Titus asked, more concerned with practicalities than small talk. "Food and water?"

"Well," Tristram said for a moment, holding Tiziana's gaze for a few seconds before looking over at Titus. "You're gunna love this, Vivica, she's pretty well off," he said gesturing with his hands as he talked. "Like, I mean really well off. And she just let us raid her cupboards. Just take whatever we wanted."
Tristram paused, chuckling and reaching up to pat Courage's side. "So, we stocked up. Honestly took way more food than we needed. Plus I brought some. I'd say, with the amount we have, it could be a month or more. We've got less water, but there's plenty of that on the road. Can you guys hunt?"

Titus looked at Tristram with raised eyebrows expressing surprise.
Tiziana glanced at him with a suggestive look, then turned back to Tristram and answered the question with a tip of her head: "He can."
"Yeahhhh," Titus seemed to disagree, "didn't bring the crossbow. Though I agree with you, water's usually not a problem around here. And we have food for at least three weeks too. And, we can stop by some farms and buy off the locals, my dad and I used to do that. We'll make do."

Tristram grinned, rubbing his stomach. "Oh yeah, we'll be fine all right. S'long we eat it all before it spoils," he laughed. "And I can't hunt worth a copper, never been able to. My hands are too meaty to hold a bow with any kind of grace," Tristram smiled, opening and closing his hands slightly.

"Don't worry, nothing will spoil with her around," Titus teased, which earned him an angry stare. She couldn't hold it for very long though, and instead broke into another smile.
"I love this," she confessed. "All of it. It's so laid back. No worries at all."

"Hear hear," Titus said in an exaggeratedly dry voice. There was a pause.
"Apples," Tiziana said suddenly. "We got?"
"Yup," Titus confirmed, dislodging one arm from the shoulder strap of his backpack and swinging it around to his chest. He dug through it for a second using his free arm, then threw her a shiny, round red fruit. He took out another one and held it up before his face, looking at Tristram with an inquiring gesture and asking: "Apple?"
