"I...do have some money," Peter ventured carefully, as if unsure what reaction offering to pay for them would have. "Could help buy some parts. Will...try..."

"No, only child," Vivica answered as they both saddled up their horses. "But I would like to stop at home as well," the priestess said. It wasnt to see her parents; they would most likely be working. But she had a few extra supplies to grab if she was going to be away from home for a while.
"It's your choice if you want to go separate ways once we arrive at Stormwind and meet up again after, or just head everywhere together," Vivica said, her voice quiet as she stepped into the saddle.

Peter shifted a bit at the silence. "You could...maybe pay me back. When we earn some money. Investment. Loan. Something of the...sort..." he eventually ventured.

Vivica chuckled quietly. "Sure, we can stick together," she nodded. The two slowly walked the road to Stormwind, enjoying the ride and each other's company.
Vivica heard hooves behind them, catching up quickly. She turned, twisting in the saddle to see what was going on.
The horse was black as night, it's mane cropped short. A beautiful, muscular specimen bred for war. But it wasn't just the horse who caught Vivica's attention - it was the rider.
He was tall and muscular, with ash blonde hair and tanned skin that has seen plenty of days in the harsh sun. And his eyes, now she could see, were the colour of jade. His clothes were simple and clean and a pick axe hung by his side, a hammer by the other.
He looked remarkably handsome, now that his ribs weren't shooting out his chest.
"Vivica?" The man asked, his voice hearty and strong. "Vivica Black?"
Vivica stopped her horse, the old steed turning in a slow circle to face the other. "Yes," she said quietly. The healers must have did a fantastic job for him to be mobile so soon. "You're the man I saved in the woods."
"Okay good, I'm glad you're you and not someone else," the man laughed, reaching up and ruffling his hair. "It was hard enough to find you as it is, you're so tiny and elusive. I just wanted to give my thanks, my name is Tristram."
He bowed his head and brought his fingers to his forehead, tipping an imaginary hat her way. "It's nice to meet you Tristram," Vivica said quietly, feeling rather shy. "I'm glad you're alright."
"Oh I'm more than alright," Tristram laughed, slapping his chest where the wound was. "You're quite the healer, was told that I would have bled out had you not have gotten me. Anyways, are you guys headed to Stormwind? I've got to deliver some stuff, mind if I tag along?"
Vivica glanced at Roland and shrugged, looking back at Tristram. "Of course," she said, her cheeks slightly flushed. "As long as you're not in a rush, we are going at a pretty leisurely pace."

Peter exhaled slowly. "Good. Okay. So, where to? Though, maybe should rest. Exciting day. Set off tomorrow. May not be fully healed, as well. Defer to you. Know best own condition," the priest told Irene softly.
Character:
Maximilian Totentanz
Location:
Stormwind
"Oh for the love of Light," the warden of the stockades groaned as Maximilian was brought into his office. "Not another Defias stooge! We have enough of them clogging up my cells!"
"Actually," one of the guards escorting the young man interjected, "that's not a Defias bandana. It's a gag. Apparently they thought he was a spellcaster. So, we took some measures."
"Hmm...That so? What happened to him anyway?" the warden asked, pointing at Max. Though never having seen him before, the master of the prison had a fairly good idea something was wrong. For one, his new ward's clothes were nearly torn to shreds, stained brown from dust and blood from numerous cuts decorating his body. His hair was in a wretched state, several twigs sticking haphazardly from the black mess and bits of dirt and mud clumping it. A cut just above the right eye left a rusty brown stain of dried blood all the way down his face, though that did not restrain the sheer vehemence the youth managed to express in his glare at the two men beside him.
"Oh," one of the guards chuckled. "Seems he took a tumble while we were pulling him along from the horse. He didn't say anything, so it took us awhile to notice, and I guess we might'a dragged him just a bit." Max breathed wrathfully into his gag at the offhand remark. Lying wretches! He could hear their damn mocking laughter as he was puled helplessly through the mud behind them.
The warden seemed equally unimpressed, a cloud passing over his face as he took the papers offered to him. The older man glanced at what was written there, his face growing heavier and dourer with each passing moment. At length, he put the sheet down and settled behind his desk again.
"Hmmm...Well, we don't have much space at the moment. These Defias clods keep getting shoved on us. And we already had little room until executions on Thursday. Just give him to the gaoler, we'll process him tomorrow."
"Sure thing. Hope you enjoy your new home," the guard said, stepping in front of Max and smirking. "I'm sure all those prisoners are just going to love meeting you."
Maximilian responded by jerking up his bound hands and into the guard's chin. The clacking of teeth and a shriek of pain filled the office, both warden and the second guard caught momentarily off guard by the sudden act.
"You little #$%^!" the second guard snapped over his companions pained wail. A plated fist met Max's face like a hammer, laying him out on the cold stone floor with a crash. His head spun, blood pounding in his temple.
"Worth it," Max mumbled into his gag as the room began to stop spinning. Two hands grabbed him by the shoulders, hoisting him into the air.
"Stick him in a cell. I don't care which. We'll deal with him later," the warden barked, tending the guard Max struck. Maybe he bit his tongue? Oh, how he hoped so. The two new men nodded, leading Max out of the office. The smell of mildew and wet straw quickly pervaded Max's nose, and he blinked away the remaining stars from his vision. His feet quickly found their steps along the stone floor, easing the burden of the two men.
Maximilian didn't know how deep into the labyrinth of cells that was the Stockades he was led. Torchlight flickered and made shadows dance all along the walls, and the stench of mildew, wet straw and unwashed bodies quickly filled his nose.
As they continued, Max couldn't help but feel a certain air of unease in the men who escorted him. Their shoulders stiffened, their paces slowed incrementally, and free hands inched near weapons. Interesting, Max thought to himself, but not without a slight pang of concern for himself as well. At length, the guards stopped before a cell. Unlocking it, they fairly pushed him inside, as if afraid to enter themselves, and closed the door behind them with a clank. Max listened attentively to the click of a key turning, and the padding away of footsteps slightly muffled by the door.
Max slouched against the wall, peering into the inky darkness of the dark cell.

A clicking sound echoed throughout Max's cell as a massive dark form shifted in the blackness.
"What-t have the warmbloods left us tonight, I wonder..." a raspy voice asked. "Have they begun throwing their own to me? " it muttered, before clicking out another series of gibberish sounds.

"...Nooooo..." Max said, slowly inching up along the wall and pulling the gag from his mouth. Damn them for not letting him pick up his sword at the inn, he thought.

"It lives then," the large form clacked. "How interesting."
The huge creature made to move for Max, but was held back by huge chains that were bolted to the wall.

"It would also like to keep living, for reference," Max said, noting the sound of rattling metal. Chains? Seemed likely. Clearly his little escapade in the wardens office hadn't made him many friends.

"There are many dead who wished to live, and some living that would wish themselves dead," the black shape replied, making a sound somewhat like a laugh, but with more amused clicking. "What would a soft warmblood like you know about death?"

"A few things," Max replied, holding up his bound hands to the meager light coming through the gap beneath the door. "Such as it's best to keep the blood inside the body, don't try and swim in the lake of fire, and there are fates far worse than it," he said, trying to find a weak point in the knot.

"Indeed there are, warmblood," the shape croaked. "So, what now? Perhaps they will send in another small, fat, pink warmblood to eat. Or perhaps they mean for me to eat-t you? I shall have to eat either way, soft pink-k-k one."
