Pa'khon Bloodbringer
Duskwood
Seeing the mounted humans, the troll pushed himself along with both Cregga and Maximillian into a bush to the right of the road. The troll then tried extending his thoughts again, now saying: "The fugitives are to the left side. Look to the Left Side. Search the Left Side. They couldn't have hidden in the left."
Pa'khon knew this extensive use of his limited powers would weaken him for quite a while. He was better weakened and free than a little better and trapped in the jail again.

As they stumbled into the bushes, Max cast a hand to the other side of the road. The sound of thudding footsteps began to ring out from said direction, an illusion of sound to help support the troll's spell.

"
So now is a good time to come back, huh?
" Kalina thought to the interfering voice. "
How about some actually helpful advice?
"
She glanced at the dead/unconscious guards. She didn't want another dead body on her conscience, let alone two. And even worse, these were supposed to be the good guys. She'd be an outlaw.
But they started it,
she thought and crossed her arms defiantly.
They had it coming. They would have killed us.
"Let's go," she said lowly to the others and stepped over the limp guards, picking up the sword and beginning to make her way towards the stairs leading up.

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Westbrook Garrison, Elwynn Forest
Nimrod strode on ahead, starting to climb the stairs.
Gregg sidestepped the two unconscious guards, passing Kalina and falling into step with the dwarf. Or at least he did so as best he could, considering his short, gnomish legs.
Elsa Wolftongue
Darkshire, Duskwood
Elsa's gaze flicked continually between Meyer's eyes, unsure which of the two she was meant to focus on. The pickpocket's mouth, meanwhile, remained firmly sealed.

"I'm not playing anything." He said looking at his hands then back at the gnome. "I mean you could infiltrate places the enemy is and there stuff could start breaking and since it seems you're more suited to hand to hand combat you don't have to worry about your stuff breaking and gain an edge." He said nodding.

Those gullible soldier's! How hard is it to resist a priest trying to influence you? How hard is it? Although the illusion was very good, he had to admit. Too bad for them he'd had a friend who'd made him somewhat resistant to mind influencing spells.
Wait, he'd never had a friend in Darkshire because he'd only come here two weeks ago with his memories gone and no money to his name. Where did he get the priest memory from? Distracted, Kai stumbled into the woods and continued walking whilst trying to work out where he had got that particular memory from. When he decided to stop worrying about it and payed attention to his surroundings, he was completely and utterly lost.

"Elsa, are you mayhap literate? That would help do away with the awkwardness of this situation," he asked.

"Yes," Elsa responded flatly, now examining Meyer's attire. Anyone who had two differently coloured eyes had to be up to no good, she decided.

Lyshalis cursed as the sleeping female guard had no balde for her to steal and then followed after the dwarf, with some ease considering her long elven legs and her agile armour.
Athenari walked after, slightly slower, considering her kilt and her apologising in the elven tounge to the limp guards.

"Wonderful," Meyer clapped his hands, then took out a business card and a patent of the Crown. The former he handed to the girl, the latter he held up for her to examine.
"I happen to be the warlock your jumpy friend Peter Brighthammer mentioned. My activities are authorized by the Crown of Stormwind and the Royal Magi Society. What I intend to do is, first, collar Irene and her spiky companion so that they do not leak harmful fel energies to their environment, then go and apprehend the apostate Razzmatazz and drag him to the metropolis so that he may face justice."

On mention of the word 'warlock' Elsa's hand retracted instantly, as if Meyer's business card was a hungry plague grub. The pickpocket snorted at the sight of the patent, a forgery she had no doubt, and gave the warlock a less-than-friendly look, "come to recruit them into your cult?" she inquired icily.

The warlock's teeth gritted reflexively, even though he had known in his mind what the reaction would be.
"No, that is not my intention," he said. Wilhelm put the card down onto a nearby table and folded the patent carefully, storing it in the inner pocket of his velvet jacket.
"I have stated my intention, in fact. I intend to go through, as well. Whether you, Elsa and Peter, are going to be with me, is only up to you - I have delivered Peter into Darkshire and to you, and now I can wash my hands. Before the day is done, I will have gotten a solid homing on Irene's location. After her threat is contained, I will extract the location of her village from her and depart. Feel free to follow, although I doubt either of you will be of any help. In case you do decide to tolerate a warlock's presence, I will state here and now that I am not responsible for your well-being."

The guards gone, the troll pointed to a nearby clearing, and moved towards it, before sitting with his back on a tree: "Ah am on da point on collapsing mon, dat mind magic took a lot of mah energy. Need half an hour to rest, at least."

"You've got ten," Max informed him, easing down onto a convenient stone. "They'll figure it out eventually and we...ah...have to keep moving. Ahhhhh...Dammit. That freaking hurts! Sssst...I think she hit bone down there. I-ouch!"
"Oh keep still you baby," Cregga chastised, peeling up Max's pant leg and examining the wound. She frowned fractionally at the sight of the gash. Though the priests spell had stalled the bleeding, their traveling had re-opened it leaving blood to begin oozing down the illusionists leg once more. Digging into her satchel, Cregga produced several herbs and began to whisper in an ageless tongue over them before carefully applying them to the wound.
The veins on Max's neck bulged and he gripped the stone with both hands at the sudden pain. He threw his head back, teeth clenched to prevent from crying out. After another minute of this Cregga peeled several of the herbs away, leaving Max to collapse onto the stone panting weakly. His cut was, however, mostly healed, leaving behind only a thin pink gash against the skin.
"Was...was it supposed to hurt that much?"
"No," the witch replied with a half smile. "It only needed to be on there for a second. But I wanted to make sure they reaaaaly soaked in there."
"Aghhhhhh...hate...you. Hate you so much..."
The witch grinned and patted his leg. "I know you do, Max. I know you do."
"Don't call me...wait." Max forced himself into a sitting position, squinting in curiosity and pain. "What's that?" he asked, pointing to something wrapped in cloth slung over the witch's shoulder.

Peter sighed. "Elsa" he said, making sure to meet her eyes. Though his own were red and puffy from crying, there was a steely conviction in them never before seen in the priest's eyes. "Am going with him."
