"Woah!" Max cried, jumping back and narrowly avoiding the blade. In doing so, he bumped into Cregga, sending the witch tumbling to the ground and hence out of the knife's path.

"Mister Lucky, have you done anything that would pique the interest of the Royal Mage Society and/or the Kirin Tor?" Meyer asked softly. "Please recall that you are speaking to an agent of the Crown before answering; I can provide my papers if you so desire."

"Oh, I see," the warlock drawled with just a hint of a sneer on his lips that could be easily explained as light falling in a peculiar manner. "Would you like to share the story, mister Lucky?" he asked, emphasizing the moniker ever so slightly.

Kai Whiterock
Darkshire, Duskwood
A sudden pain spread over him like nothing he had ever felt before. Falling to the ground in pain he swiped at Max's legs, straight into an artery while screaming his head off. Guards would come and then he could get revenge on the troll who had inflicted so much pain on him. Revenge is sweet.

"Argh!" Max fell on one knee, blood quickly welling from the wound and soaking his pant leg. "Dammit! Why! Augh! Maximilian down! Maximilian down! Gaaah! Why? WHy do they alwaheys go for the legs!"
"Oh for..." Cregga grabbed the wounded Max by his arm and hefted it over her shoulder. She forced herself upright with a grunt, ignoring the woman's shriek but not unaware of it. "Can you heal?" she demanded of the troll.

"Wait a minute!" Richard exclaimed jumping from the chair he was sitting in when he heard the gnomes name. "I've heard about you. Things malfunction and explode around you." He said.

"I know!" Cregga replied in an uncharacteristically testy tone.
"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow," Max gasped as he hobbled out of the town limits, leanign heavily on Cregga's shoulder.

Kai Whiterock
Darkshire, Duskwood
Now the troll had started running, Kai's pain lessened a little. Getting up, he started sprinting after them, his constant speed training finally paying off, however, a quick glance back showed some guards on foot and horseback speeding after the troll. Turning invisible, he grinned, his ploy had worked, now all he had to do was go after is attackers just in case they managed to escape the guards grasp. No matter how much he hated the woods he had to exert vengeance.

Meyer eyed the unexpected third party in their talk as one might an annoying fly: contemplating whether it was annoying enough to warrant exerting and swatting it with a rolled-up newspaper, or simply ignoring it as something not worth the trouble of paying attention.
"And who might you be, young man," he sneered at Richard derisively, despite himself being barely older than thirty, "That you must jam yourself into other people's discussion?"

Elsa bit her own tongue, hard, narrowly managing to catch herself before she blurted out
"good riddance."
After a moment's contemplation the pickpocket titled her head, "what fight?" she asked.

Peter shook his head sadly. "Found our way out. Of coven. When did...people, waiting for us. For Irene, anyway but...attacked us all. The man from the inn in Goldshire - believe mentioned before, can't...well, recall. Much has been happening. Also! A harpy and a...woman, as well. Attacked us. Almost killed us..." The priest shuddered despite himself. "Almost. But, a...yes, a um...warlock, arrived. Captured the man, named Max. Harpy followed for...some reason. Witch escaped. But...not important." He shook his head. "Then, came here looking for you."

"Richard Grindgear." He said to Wilhelm before turning back to Lucky. "I don't know why people wouldn't want you around that sounds like a pretty useful skill you have." He said.

"Note to self, cut down on subtlety," Wilhelm muttered after Richard refusing to take the hint and remove himself from his point of view.
"Normally, this is the part where I do and say unpleasant things, but you'll have to excuse me, my young companion requires my immediate attention. I'm sorry to leave you in such company, mister Lucky," the warlock apologized to gnome, then stood up from his chair and walked up to Peter, placing his long-fingered hands on the boy's shoulders from behind.
"So, bright lad, done with the manly tears already, are we? I've heard you using a certain word describing a certain group of people; pro tip: next time, try speaking louder so that everyone in your vicinity has heard it.
That was sarcasm, by the way, in the off case they do not teach about it in your seminaries.
Now, miss Elsa, was it? Wilhelm Meyer, a pleasure to meet you," he said, as neutrally and politely as he still could - which was still not bad, compared to some other people the pickpocket had met on her long and twisted path that led her here into the Scarlet Raven.
