Peter started at the address. "I...erm..." He shifted uneasily. "I...force seems...incorrect path. Issues of consent when she, did, choose this path for herself. Can't rightly say she must...would prefer it, must amdmit. But, cannot condone forcing it on her. Should perhaps be...willing. Erm...Irene?" he asked the girl. "Would, maybe, be willing to do so. A-after Razzamataz is dead?"
"What!" Max shrieked. "Over your dead body you will!"

Kalina Brayton
Elwynn Forest
What's your problem! What do you want!
Kalina was becoming increasedly disturbed - and irritated - by the voice on the wind, but did not show it outwardly. From Nimrod's comment she drew closer to the two shorter of her companions, pulling up her sleeves and rolling her shoulders. Something was indeed not right, she too could feel that.

"Still, this place.
Something
is amiss. Are you sure you don't want to investigate?" Lyshalis asked with a raised eyebrow and halted, looking over to the two shortest companions.

"Murder without law is just that - a murder. I will not see Razzmatazz dead like that, whoever he may be, whatever he has done. This is not justice," Wilhelm said sharply, folding his arms on hist chest. Tarnik the imp had to scuttle onto his master's shoulder; on his new perch, the little demon looked a lot like a ruffled up raven with horns.
"Honestly, get in the bloody line, princess," the warlock seethed, his voice dropping to a malicious sibilance. "Oh look at me, my village was destroyed, now I will go and tamper with things beyond my understanding, let alone competence, all to satisfy my selfish need for revenge. Oh, and lest we forget endangering a whole lot of people along the way, including some softhearted little priests who really should know better. Do you think yourself special, girl? It would be easier to count families in the Alliance that have not recently lost a loved one to one disaster or another."
Khadomo whined sadly, sensing his master's boiling anger. Meyer fumed silently for a few seconds, then let out a long-winded sigh.
"The fel radiation can be contained to a level not harmful to the environment, provided you do not stay in one place for long; it is in my power to create a construct for just that purpose. After that is over with, we will apprehend - for your education, I reiterate: apprehend, not slaughter - Razzmatazz and make him face justice.
Your alternative is me killing that spiky mongrel at your heel and cleansing you forcibly, and frankly I care little if it leaves you a gibbering wreck; I would still be doing the world a favor.
Or you could try using your pretty little gun on me. If anything, that will at least show you how big of a moron you would be if you went with something like that against Razzmatazz."

"Foolish," Wilhelm stated, outstretching his arm in Irene's direction. The warlock's scythe coalesced into his hand from thin air, and from the amethyst halo shining around the blade, numerous tendrils of energy stretched out, aiming to wrap themselves around Irene and her pet both to stop the two in their tracks.

Meyer narrowed his eyes, directing the tendrils further. He had a solid homing on the energy trail left by the girl - it was rather hard to miss as is - and the threads of energy moved fast, but while the heads followed their prey, the tails had to reconfigure according to the new trajectory; where in an open field the warlock would have captured Irene by now with relative ease, the thick forest was too major a factor in the equation.

"Well," Meyer said gloomily, "'twould seem I have misjudged the speed of that mangy cur. Snapdoodles."
Quivering, the tendrils retracted into the blade; upon seeing that several of them carried the aforementioned cur's quills, the warlock stretched his thin lips in a smirk.
"Then again, I am known to frequently say, 'Always look at the bigger picture'. I look 'pon it now and I am well pleased."
Wilhelm held up his free hand, directing the tendrils over his opened palm to drop the quills onto it.
"To elaborate," he spoke, conjuring a transparent sphere around the quills and stuffing it into his pocket, then starting in Peter's direction, "With this I have plenty materials not only to track the foolish girl, but also to create a containing device for her radiation. After that is over with, we will catch up to her at leisurely pace and sort out this fine mess you, Peter Brighthammer, find yourself in. Now, are we going to help one another help us all?"

Save ussssss.....
the voice pleaded.
"No, I mean, now's not the time to eat... There's always a time to get the bad guys..." Nimrod responded incredulously, giving Lyshallis a confused look.
Gregg made a point of ignoring Nimrod and approached the doorway, only to halt suddenly as a voice plagued by uncertainty said, "hold it right there."
"Think we gots us some bandits, 'aven't we sarge?" said another voice from the behind the group, only to be hushed quickly by his superior.
"Put down your weapons and turn around slowly," the sergeant demanded, though it sounded more like a request, with marginally greater confidence, "and no funny business while you're about it."

Kalina Brayton
Elwynn Forest
Not now, I'm busy,
Kalina said in her head, actually starting to believe she could communicate with the whisper on the wind.
"Sir, I'm not trying to threaten you, but the last time a man told me that that things went bad for him," she replied to the sergeant, holding her hands the the sides in front of her to show that she was unarmed. Slowly she started to turn around.

Lyshalis removed her two swords and placed them in the dirt ground, her statchel of throwing knives (that was atatched to her right leg) was also removed and put aside. But she did not remove her well concealed dagger from her right wristguard.
Athenari reluctantly placed her staff aside.
Then the two elves began to turn around slowly.

"Trust not the feeders of crows..."
the voice warned, tormented shrieks becoming audible in the background, then abruptly went silent.
Gregg turned, armed with only his lute.
Nimrod threw his mace to the ground and spun around, glaring at the line of muskets aimed unsteadily in their direction. Not a single shot was fired, the weapons in the hands of an odd mixture of regular soldiers and militia.
"Corporal, kindly escort these men - and err, women - to the captain," the sergeant instructed, his resolve gradually returning when the strange group failed to either disappear in a cloud of smoke or explode violently. He was a short, stocky man, with equally short, brown, hair and eyes that had evidently seen more than a few sleepless nights as of late, wearing an old but immaculately maintained uniform.
"Right ya are sarge," the corporal responded, approaching the group, his expression several times more relaxed than that of his comrades, which was particularly surprising considering the fact he was at most in his late teens. Stark contrast to his superior, he had tangled, greasy red hair, a faint slouch, and a disheveled uniform that had probably never seen better days.

"
Feeders of crows...do you mean these soldiers? I don't trust them,
" Kalina communicated suspiciously, eyeing the corporal with a faint smirk on her face. He was about her age, she thought. Maybe a few years younger.
"You better bring backup," she mouthed to the young man and flashed a crooked smile, just to see what would happen.

"Lead the way young man." Lyshalis said to the solider.
"Evryone here is young." Athenari remarked in darnassian.
"To their life span?" Lyashalis replied bluntly in the elven tounge used by the children of the stars.

Of the voice there was no sign, silenced at least for a time.
The corporal gave Kalina a wary look, lip reading not his area of expertize, then shrugged and started to collect the group's weapons, his experience having been that it was better not to ask.
As he came to the two night elves, his eyes widened at Lyshallis' excessively
modest
attire. The boy had evidently never seen so much of a night elf, let alone a woman, in his life and only stooped to gather her weapons when the sergeant cleared his throat loudly, bringing him back to reality.
The corporal shook his head and, giving Gregg's lute an incredulous look, made his way back over to the sergeant.
"All arms present and 'counted for, sarge," he announced, dumping the weapons by his superior's feet. The sergeant gave an approving nod and gestured for two of his men to accompany the corporal, "see to it they don't escape."
"Alright, you lot gotta follow me," the corporal said, making his way back over to the group, "and I'll 'ave to ask you stick with common for now."

Peter was already moving the direction Irene had gone when Wilhelm spoke. Her sudden flight spurred him to action. He had just found her! How could he stomach losing her already!
"Irene!" he called into the forest when he found the breath to do it with. "Irene!"
Maximilian watched the exchange through hooded eyes of concentration. As the focus suddenly flew from him, he surreptitiously moved his leg by inches across the ground, and towards his blade not resting far away.

The warlock placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, squeezing hard to get Peter's attention.
"I have her trail, kid. Now is not the time to fall apart."
Khadomo barked playfully and flicked Max lightly on the nose with one of his tendrils.
