"The fel was that?" Cregga asked.
"Stupidity," Max growled, crumpling the paper into a ball.
"Aren't you going to read it?"
"Nope!" Max replied, tossing it over his shoulder and starting off again without another word.

While the medic continued his work, busily wiping Lyshallis' wounds clean, a messenger rode up.
"Captain! I've got urgent news, sir!" the man announced, his horse slowing to a trot.
"What is it boy? Come on, spit it out, we haven't got all day," the captain snapped, giving the other soldier a cold look.
"While you were away sir, they attacked the wagon train! Didn't leave a single man alive," the messenger responded, his horse shifting uneasily.
"And the garrison?" the captain pressed, now giving his full attention.
"Couldn't catch up with them sir, they were too fast, the commander requests you return immediately!"
The captain sighed, just when he had hoped for a shot at some easy glory...
Nevermind, there was still a chance for that, he turned to his men, "we shall depart immediately. Corporal, you and your detachment shall remain here in case any other nuisances show up," he instructed, turning to one of his subordinates.
"What the hell is that?" Nimrod demanded, seeing the object. Gregg rolled his eyes, "a pyramid," he responded sarcastically, picking the box up carefully.
The dwarf raised an eyebrow, "I thought they were taller... and had more legs..."
Elsa Wolftongue
Duskwood
Elsa took a deep breath.
"Were you and Irene intimate?" The pickpocket asked, doing her best to look and sound casual.

Peter stared, his mind stalling as it grappled with what he had just been asked, trying to frame it in a way he could understand. When he did manage it, he grew pale before colouring a brilliant red. "W-what! I...that is...I...no! No no no! We...I....we met and I...I was helping her. Healed her, understand...she was wounded and... and....oh dear!" he covered his face with his hands and blushed hotly.

"But it might-."
"Nope!"
"What i-."
"Don't care! Leaving! Bye bye."
As she watched Max stalk off with his held held high and shoulders squared, Cregga couldn't help but roll her eyes. She crouched down and picked up the crumpled paper. Rolling it in her hands, she examined it inquisitively before unfolding it curiously.

"Who are they?" Lyshalis asked the captian, with a raised long eyebrow raised and and the other was lowered by a milimeter.

Cregga raised a single black eyebrow at the sight. Then, crumpling it as well with sudden viciousness she didn't know she possessed, threw it away. She scowled a little as she followed Maximilian, having the strange impression she had just lost at something.

"A couple of ruffians, bandits most likely, one must presume," the captain answered, "surprised they managed to organize themselves enough to rob a stagecoach, let alone button up their shoes in the morning - lot of those types cropping up here and there lately - but they shall be no match for a superior force such as ourselves."
Gregg stared at Nimrod, then decided against trying to correct him.
"Right,"
the gnome said, tossing the object to the dwarf, while making his way over to Kalina's unconscious form, "I'll be right back, you keep an eye on the -
Pyramid
- for now."
Elsa Wolftongue

Elsa blinked, taking Peter's display as confirmation; her face remained expressionless.
"We had better get going," the pickpocket stated, blatantly changing the topic.

"Yes. Refreshed. Not at all like I was trampled by a kodo," Kalina replied slowly and tilted her head to look at her injured arm. "Someone fixed me," she said rather surprisedly. "Was anyone else hurt?"

"Several people were, all dead, except Lyshallis and Nimrod," Gregg replied, "she's being treated by some soldier for acid burns and he took a few knocks from the creature too, seems to be alright though - can't get any less intelligent at least."

"Bandits, ruffians, sorry but these terms are somewhat alien to me, care to elaborate what kind of creature you are dealing with?" The night elf asked curiously and tilted her head and squinted her eyes a little.

The captain's eyes bored into Lyshallis, giving her a look that said
is this some kind of a joke?"
Seeing as it was not, he clarified, "this particular Light-forsaken lot are humans, though anything that can carry a weapon and doesn't know the meaning of a decent day's work can be a bandit."
"Now if you'll excuse me for wasting your precious time," he added sarcastically, "we have business to attend to." The captain dug his boots into the side of his horse, spurring it on, while his men rode after him, leaving only a handful behind to keep an eye on the town.
"Where are the bandits now?" Gregg asked, looking around. Any bodies there may or may not have been had been eaten by the creature.

Peter, still flushed with embarrassment, took to the change of topic with clear relief. He sagged slightly and nodded. "Y-yes. Should. A door, over here. Saw it," he made his way towards the door of the room, trying the handle.
