Lyshalis tossed her gloves as they had enought acid on them to melt away her hands if they would stay on. After the gloves were of the night elf used three of her throwing knives to toss them towards the creature. Then the rogue got an idea.
"Gregg! Break the demonic circle!" She yelled as loud as she could.

The priest was eventually spat out of an ancient pipe into an old, disused room. Thought the pipe was low to the ground, he was still sent tumbling into the abandoned place head over heels, landing mostly on the head and against the opposite wall. His robes were torn here and there by the jagged edges of the rusty and corroded pipe, and as his mind sorted itself out he sincerely hope he wouldn't get tetanus from the cuts sustained.
He groaned and rolled to his feet, looking around in dazed wariness.

Gregg sprinted out of sight and proceeded to kick the blood out of alignment, trying to disrupt the spell.
Outside, the fleshbeast seemed to have deflated slightly, though whether that was because of the circle being disrupted or blood loss - or the fact it had not eaten anything in a very short while - remained to be seen.
Elsa Wolftongue
Duskwood
Elsa stared in silent horror, hearing Peter's groan, unable to avert her eyes. "You stay right here," she told Oliver quickly, not even looking his way as she prepared to jump. The pickpocket slung her rifle and started to slide one leg over the edge.
After all, it was only sixteen feet... Give or take however wrong the estimation was...

"I think it's working!" Lyshalis shouted cheerfully and then threw a duo of knives at the flesh creature.

The flesh beast yelped and dodged out of the way, not about to let more knives join the collection that was forming in the side of its head. The creature paused to sniff the air and limped back towards the inn.

"I think it's close to die, one more hit should do it." She exclaimed and reached for another dagger, finding none she then added. "Nimrod finish him off!"

Rising to his feet, Peter rubbed his sore head, which was but one of the many pieces of him which were. He looked around the dark room blankly, trying to recall just what he was doing in there. There was a pip? Yes, a pipe. I...yes, went down it. To look for someone. Someone named..Elsa. Yes, I did. I...oh dear...I'm...Richard? No, ah...^&*!, perhaps? Closer, he was getting warm. In fact, the whole room was a bit warm. But I am...Peter! Yes, he was named Peter! And the pipe was over there! He thought, turning to where he had forced himself through the grate.

Nimrod, somewhat dazedly, swung his mace at the creature, knocking it back with a loud crunch.
The beast, now lying on it side in the middle of the road, stared coldly at the dwarf through its sunken eyes.
The awkward pause was interrupted only by the monstrosity's unnaturally long tongue slithering out from its gaping maw, across the cobbles, and wrapping itself around the dwarf's leg, a last ditch attempt to take someone else down with it.
The paladin gave a surprised yell as he suddenly toppled over backwards and was dragged, flailing, towards the monstrosity.
Elsa Wolftongue
Duskwood
A torrent of colourful language announced the fact Elsa had arrived, complete with a long tear in her flesh where the edge of the grating had cut open her leg.
The pickpocket sorely pulled herself up to her full height, out of the squatting position she had ended her landing in, and stretched, the sharp pain of being cut temporarily replaced by the dull, throbbing, pain of hitting the ground.

Peter once more found himself end over robed end from what might be politely termed Elsa's entrance. He blinked at the spiderweb encrusted ceiling before slowly rolling back towards his feet.

A swirl of smoke rose from her cauldron as Baba gently stirred it. She smiled to herself as the mixture turned from its grim green to a more powdered blue upon the addition of several herbs. A sudden thud called her attention away and to Cregga, who had just entered the room.
"My dear!" Baba called happily as she turned. That was as far as she managed upon spotting her daughter. A new wolfskin was slung across her shoulders, and she had found a new if somewhat ragged skirt and blouse somewhere in the house. But it was the presence of a linen bag slung over the shoulder that forced Baba to grip the table in sudden horror.
"No...Oh dear, no. Not again, please no..."
Cregga smiled a little sadly and wandered over to the old woman. "Now calm down Baba, I'm only going away for a little while. Just going to follow Max and Serai for a bit."
"But...but...I thought...D-didn't you have enough last time?" Baba wailed, grabbing onto her daughter's blouse. "Please, please don't go. Not again. I...I...Please, Cregga, don't. Don't go. Please...please..." Baba sobbed, pressing her wrinkled forehead into Cregga's shirt.
The younger witch smiled indulgently and patted the old woman's silver hair. "Now now Baba," she said, almost condescendingly. "It's not so bad. I already talked to Aunt Wolfwood, and she'll be coming by to lend a hand."
"I don't want Wolfwood!" Baba cried. "Please don't leave Cregga. I couldn't bear it. Please, I...I'll do anything. Whatever you want. Anything at all. But please, just..."
"Baba!" Cregga snapped sternly causing Baba to flinch as if from a blow. "Stop this right now! You're acting foolish." She gripped the old woman's hand and pulled them away. After a moment of resistance, they did so. "That's better. Now listen here. I'm leaving, ahah! And that is final. But I am coming back. So stop it this instant!" she scolded sharply. Tears navigated the wrinkles of Baba's face as her whole body trembled, but she said nothing. Cregga sighed tiredly and drew the old woman back in the elaborate wooden chair. Settling her there, the young witch looked down on the older.
"Now, I expect no more of this. Understand? I don't know when I'll be back of course, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Now, is there anything else? No? Good. I'm off then," Cregga said cheerfully, throwing her satchel back over her shoulder and making for the door. "Bye!"
The door slammed shut leaving the old woman huddled in her chair, surrounded by the stifling darkness of her large, cluttered house.
"Eh?" Max remarked on seeing Cregga trot out of the house. "The fel? What's the bag for?"
"I'm coming with you, of course. Why? You going to tell a poor little girl she can't?" Max found himself facing two rows of teeth, Cregga's innocent pearly whites, and the somewhat yellow fangs of the wolf pelt on her shoulders. He scoffed.
"Fine, whatever. Come on! There's time. We just don't have it," he grumbled, plodding towards the woods. The witch behind him smiled indulgently, and started off after him.

The woods of Duskwood were, appropriately rather woody. Thick branches which dragged near the ground, sharp nettled brush and roots seemingly made particularly for tripping. The latter Max decided on his own after becoming victim to them for a third time.
"Damn it to fel!" he swore as he pushed himself out of some dead leaves which carpeted the forest floor.
Cregga laughed, practically dancing amongst the trunks as she moved around. "What's wrong Max? Trees getting you down."
"Shut up. You're not being witty," he replied sourly.

Elsa eyed the long gash running down her leg, suddenly feeling the pain though she did her best to hide it.
"Who's bloody idea was that?" the pickpocket growled, glaring at the broken grate that she felt had no right being halfway up the pipe.

"Come on now Max," Cregga jeered from her perilously balance spot on a log. "You going to let yourself be beaten by a

Max took a pause in yanking the hem of his robe off an errant and pointy stick. "Oh? If you see one, mention it won't you? And by the way, don't know if I mentioned but apparently not, ah....Oh yeah! Don't call me! Max!"

"I'm fine," Elsa grumbled, knowing full well this was not the first time Peter had come to her aid - not that she did not appreciate his help - and not wanting to appear weak in front of him.

Peter pointed to Elsa's brand new gash. "Doesn't look fine. Should mend that, would be best. Might attract something...carnivorous," he said, checking the rafters.
