The man hummed. "Doubt you'll find too much of that anymore. Things 'r quiet right now until the harvest season picks up again. Best bet would be to ask with the Nightwatch. But if you want my advice? You shouldn't," he intoned somberly.

"I did but they said they wouldn't send a half baked engineer to there death." He said and he slammed his fist onto the table. "I'm not half baked!"

"You'd be fully baked if one of the witches of the woods got their hands on you," the innkeeper replied in a somber tone, nodding to himself firmly.

"I'm not afraid of any witches when I have...." He said trainling off as he dropped his backpack and started rummaging threw it till he pulled out a metal spider a foot in length and held it over his head. "This." He finished his thought.

The wlarus man leaned over. "...Maybe try coming back around WInter Veil. Those might make good presents for the kids."
"Dad, be nice!" a shapely barmaid uttered in sharp rejoinder, slamming down her empty tray for emphasis and making her thick head of red curls shake. She wore a simple apron and dress over her curvy form. A face coloured with freckles was set with annoyance, lips a thin line and brow crinkled in disapproval. The walrus looking fellow grumbled something, but moved towards the new customers who had just come in.
"Sorry about that," she said, turning to Richard. "We see a lot of adventurers around here. Not too many do well once they get on in the woods," she said.

Richard jumped slightly at the sudden arrival and the spider slipped out of his hands and hit the table with a small thud causing it to activate and it flipped itself over with a small puff of steam from it's back. It looked around for a second before it reached out with two of it's legs and grabbed a empty mug and a rag and started to clean the glasses.
"Hey you're supposed to blow up not clean things." He said as he started to rummage threw his backpack. "Maybe I grabbed the wrong one." He added before turning to the woman. "It's okay. And are the woods really that bad?" He asked her.

She shrugged. "Can be. Depends where you go. Hey, that's kinda neat," she said, changing the subject and leaning forward on the bar to look at the cleaning spider. "You make that?"

"Why yes I did." He said smiling at the comment and the spider grabbed another glass and started to clean. "He can also clean all sorts of plates, forks and knives. He can also sweep floors, walls, ceiling and if you give him a wire brush he does a pretty good job with stoves and ovens." He added.

She gave the inventor a skeptical look. "I don't know about that. Seems kinda small to get it done in a timely fashion. Not to mention seems kinda...step-onnable."

"Usually there's more then one working." He said suddenly diving back into his back pack and pulled out two more and sat them on the table. He flipped a switch on one of them and it took off to help the other robot. "This one still needs to have a couple wires adjusted if you just give me a second I'll have it up and running." He added opening the third spiders back plate. "And I'm Richard Grindgear by the way."

The waitress nodded at the young inventor. "Sharon. But dad just calls me Sherry. So," she mused, trailing a finger idly in quick circles on the counter, "what brings you all the way out here? People usually try and not come out to Darkshire."

"Well Sherry I'm here to make a name as the greatest engineer ever." He said fishing a pair of pliers from one of his tool pouches on his belt and started to work on the third spider. "And to do that I need to help people and I heard that there was a lot of trouble here so I thought this would be a good place to start."

"Plenty enough of that around here," Sherry said, leaning forward to watch him work. "Ever since the Horde burned down the town and we rebuilt, nothing's been the same since." She sighed, a melancholy look coming over her. She frowned and shook it off, replacing it with a smile. "But it's nice you want to help. Not much of that around these days, though maybe starting out here is a bit'a mistake. Not exactly pickpocket scale problems around here."

"I've never dealt with pickpockets before." He said focusing on his task and trying not to look over at Sherry. "But I've handled plenty of yeti's and dark iron dwarves before." He added reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small length of wire and went back to work.

Darkshire
A boy, not more than 19 years of age, anxiously eyed the three new arrivals from his lonely table in the back of the room. He was thin, taller than average but not extraordinarily so, and beneath a grown-in layer of grime he had a pale face with blue sunken eyes. His hair was a few inches long, greasy and unkempt, and his clothes could have been an undertaker's, a jacket once black and somber but now dilapidated and dirty over a dirt-brown flax shirt. A flocked top hat of fur felt rested on the table before him, only completing the image of a gravedigger.
He eventually seemed to have gathered enough courage (or energy, it was difficult to tell) to get up from his table and shuffle over to the bar counter, hat in hand.

Darkshire, Duskwood
Elsa leaned casually against the bar and examined the various types of beverage that were available - or rather she pretended to, for she was in actual fact eavesdropping. A faint smile tugged at the corner of her mouth as her eyes came upon a bottle of dwarven whisky, though in reality her smile was fueled by the fact there would be a lack of competition when it came to pickpocketing rather than anything else.

The bartender slid along the bar, wiping a long streak of grime off the counter as he sidled up before the newcomers. "Can I help you?" he asked. "Maybe call a priest?" he added, looking up and down the bloodstained clothes critically.
Sherry's eyes widened in amazement. "Really? Yeti's? I've never seen a yeti before. I heard they're only in the mountains, like Alterac. Are they really as big as people say? With, with teeth as long as daggers and mouths big enough to eat a man in one bite?" she asked, leaning towards Richard eagerly.

"I suppose we'd best then. Where's the nearest flower?" he bit out to the witch.
Cregga crinkled her lips in suppressed laughter. "Oh, it's close by," she said, nudging the harpy.

"They usually take two bites but I've seen one eat a goat in one bite. The one I fought was at least ten feet tall and had huge teeth and claws so sharp they could rip threw metal." He said finishing the robot and closed it up before turning on the robot and letting it go and help the others before he turned to Sherry. "But I took care of him no problem."
