Peter Brighthammer

Westfall
The priest's own griffon spiraled trhiugh the air, landing lightly in the roost. Once Peter dismounted, the creature made it's way back towards the ledge to return to Westfall.
Peter made his way over to Elsa to wait for Tabula.

Several people brushed past Elsa as she waited. Once Peter turned up she tossed him a newly acquired coin purse, "ought to cover the flight," she said simply.

Peter caught the coin purse in surprise. He reflexively looked about for the owner, but in such a press it was a futile feat.
He sighed and stowed it away. "Really, don't need to do that," he told Elsa.

"Don't need to do what?" Elsa asked, looking slightly puzzled. Subconsciously the pickpocket ceased leaning against the wall, thinking that was what Peter disproved of.

Peter had to think very hard to answer that one without angering the pickpocket.
"...Pay me back."

Elsa shrugged, "don't worry about it, wasn't
my
money anyway," she assured him.

"Er...yes. Noticed that," Peter replied uneasily. "Still, don't feel ah...obligated, to. Shouldn't accept stolen money."

"It isn't stolen it's..." the pickpocket began, but struggled to find a suitable word,
"I found it"

"What? I can't help it... It's not like they needed the money anyway," Elsa protested, knowing that was not strictly true, "not every family can afford to send their children off to become priests or priestesses like yours have."

Peter sighed slightly. "Just...would rather not be paid, than with stolen money." He shrugged. "Just who I am."

"If you don't want it I could...
Give it back,
" the pickpocket told Peter, purely for his sake, though it was evident Elsa found the mere thought of doing so abhorrent.

"If you could, that would be nice," Peter replied, smiling nervously as though he were attempting to defuse a gnomish grenade. He silently retrieved the coin purse and held it out.

The pickpocket took the coin purse and disappeared momentarily into the crowd, reappearing a few moments later - minus the coin purse - with a pained expression on her face.

Elsa made no sign to show she had heard, giving away money felt like giving away part of her soul - she imagined it would hurt about the same at least.

Kalina Brayton
Elwynn Forest
The spray of sticky silk caught on to Kalina, ensnaring her right arm and binding it to her chest. She scrambled to her feet after the landing hard on the cavern floor to dodge the spider's earlier charge, looking around her. The torch she had dropped; it laid there on the ground, crackling softly like nothing was out of the ordinary.

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Elwynn Forest
The spider's mandibles clamped shut around Lyshalis, the arachnid attempting to crush her.
Gregg cursed and looked around for Nimrod, the paladin was nowhere to be seen.
"Where is he?"
the gnome thought, looking around. He ruled out cowardice, as the dwarf lacked the mental capacity to run away, so that left only one thing: stupidity.
"If Nimrod isn't here, he has a plan..." Gregg muttered, throwing a rock at the spider's head to keep it distracted, "we're doomed."

Peter shifted slightly at the unpleasant atmosphere. Even he could feel it, so it truly must be awful. He read a book once that discussed such an issue. It had been an old, worn thing found in the depths of the library. Discussing the finer points of conversation, it looked like someone had brought it to the monastery, then forget it before they left.
"So..." he began, not without some trepidation. "Have you always lived in Stormwind?"
