I tried that once...
Ugh. Not doing it again until I actually start taking my Russian class.

Make friends on Chatroulette! Try and get the person's name and favourite colour. 18+, there are some sights better off unseen on there.

You mean like the countless raids where they use cam programs to playback gore .gifs?

Possibly.

This sounds like a terrible idea- lol. I haven't used Chatroulette, but from what I've heard, you have a 50-50 chance of running into someone naked each time you connect. (Mostly teasing, btw)(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

I just realised the other day when my friend posted an equation I didn't even know how to approach that I'd done nothing math related (other than statistics and a bit of programming for a project) for almost six years. So, I decided to metaphorically hit the books and brush up a little: I may still not be able to figure out the equation she posted, but at least I'll be proficient in what I do know and aware of my own limits.
I'll be using
Wolfram
and
Sosmath
, for what it's worth. If you think you've got a good grasp on everything on both sites: my sincere congratulations. Always worth brushing up on what you do know though, right?
Edit: After looking at the equation thoroughly, it was Einstein's field equation. My brain just switches off when I see an equation with a Lambda in it.

I'm taking the most advanced math course my school offers, so I think I'm set on this one >.>

Week 15: Enter a place of worship you haven't been in before. I'm going to go to the local LDS church with cookies and ask them if they could spare any volunteers at the local homeless charity. I originally planned on going tomorrow, but I'm feeling rather under the weather.
Learnt about complex numbers last week, if anyone were interested.

Week 16: find a hymn you like.
Here
is a website with some hymns.
Personally I like "
Gaudete quia vobis
".
Didn't actually make it inside the LDS Church last week sadly. Was sick on the weekend and walked all the way up yesterday, only to find it was closed. Ended up giving the cookies I was going to take them to my manager, since its her birthday.

I have way too many to choose. If I had to, I'd pick
A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief
(any version) or
Nearer My God to Thee
as sung by Vocal Point.

I'm not sure if Amazing Grace is a hymn, but whenever I hear it I cry. It was my mother's favorite song, a song that reminded her of her father. Now that she's gone, I can't listen to it, let alone think about it, without crying. It's definitely one of my favorites, hymn or not.

My family went to mass in the Republic of Ireland once and there was a little message saying "Mass Will Be In Gaelic Today". Took me five minutes of looking for a scribbling journalist to realise that the mass was being said in Gaelic, not covered by the local newspaper.
Ed: We've also attended masses in Polish (in the US, actually - they served perogi afterwards). Apparently they used to teach "Our Father" in most languages in the seminary, as my father was able to catch it. No-one else really got anything out of it though.
