Are you using your tanking cool downs to mitigate that damage from the stacking effect?

So you want to know how you can do more dps as Guardian but you don't want people to point at what you could do to reach that goal?

I think he wants us to do it nicely. Yeah ...
Anywho, since you can skip mitigation somewhat because of the fact you're soloing old bosses, you can reforge out of mastery. And don't reforge into dodge. In fact, I was gonna say reforge into hit and expertise until cap (7.5% on both, don't bother with expertise hardcap), but that's only if you wanna try raid bosses (even old content raid bosses are considered 3 levels higher than you).
Glyphs seem fine, Maul is the only one that is somewhat useful for increasing bear dps (if you were raiding current content I would advise against it). I would advise against Glyph of Survival Instincts though, since the decreased cooldown will do you no good on a fight that shouldn't take that long. I'd take Might of Ursoc instead.
Talents: only thing worth noting is Incarnation instead of Force of Nature. I haven't actually tested this out, but I have a feeling that being able to spam your highest hitting ability AND rage generator gives more damage than 3 treants smacking your target and taunting it. You already have Nature's Vigil, so that's fine (I actually didn't know that increased damage since HotW is so "mandatory" to me when raiding current content).
Be sure to use both Berserk and Incarnation, and to not use one of these while the other is still up. Oh and Enrage of course.
If I had more time to reply, I'd have made fancy links, but alas :)

Excellent advice, Lookout. Also, the treants are definitely a DPS loss when compared to Incarnation. The loss is the largest in current content though (because with the way the new Vengeance works, you get really low amounts of it in low level instances). Most of our DPS comes from Vengeance, and forcing the boss to attack treants for a few secs ends in a loss of Vengeance.

Just getting to 90 is not always enough, especially when your average item level is barely higher than what you can get from level 89 quests.
You are not enchanted or gemmed and are not using any engineering tinkers. That means you are not spending any effort to maximize your potential. What is even worse, instead of farming heroics for gear, you are wasting your time bashing your head against a boss that does not drop anything that would actually benefit you (seriously, you are level 90 for 14 days and you only did
five heroics
, there is absolutely no way you can convince me that you are a capable and skilled bear tank). You should try to accept that maybe you are not capable of soloing that boss at your current gear/skill level.

168 hours in a week
-40 full time job
-49 for sleep (7 hours is the human norm)
-10 for work transit
-17.5 for eating (.5 hour breakfast, 1 hour for lunch and dinner)
-3.5 for ablution
______
48 hours a week of effective "free time"
... or basically an avg of 6.86 hours of free time a day(14 hours free on a weekend and 4 hours free on a weekday) while holding down a full time job that includes an additional 1 hour of transit both directions.
How you chose to fill your free time is up to you but kindly DO NOT imply that someone who chooses to spend their free time playing a game in a more serious manner then yourself is unemployed.

wow thror. now theirs the attitude i was expecting!
You think I am surprised? That you got me into a check mate or something? Do you know how many scrubs I meet that post crap like this:
ill link my armory, but i dont wanna read any harsh critcism on how i dont got right glyphs or i shouldnt be doin this or that just cause someone wants to be an elitist jerk.
give me tips or dont say anything at all.
and then when someone points at the clear flaws in their gear, they go all this:
ive got a small time frame for playing the game an i choose to do it by the dailies to get them done an over with for reputation purposes. i cant sit here all day unemployed.
some people take this way too serious.
It's like they are making you in a god damned factory, serial number 001478.
You didn't do any chants or tinkers because you are stupid, not because "you don't take the game all that seriously". I know a great amount of people who do not take WoW all that seriously, but who can appreciate the value of enchants and gems, and instead of throwing half assed arguments about having a job, they spend five minutes in the AH and spend 500 gold on crap that ramps up their performance
substantially
. "Gear gets replaced too quickly" is also a worthless argument from someone who has seven items with ilvl 463 and
doesn't raid
and
does not run heroics
.
You don't take this game seriously? Well, let me show you something, there are people who took
your call for help seriously
in this topic, and who spent effort to aid you, and you just pretty much pissed on that effort. I sincerely hope noone else is going to spend his valuable time to reply to your "call for help", because frankly, you don't deserve it.

And this gentlemen is exactly why I didnt bother in the first place coming with any constructive critism.. It's obvious that Primehorn rather have us pat his back and tell him it's not something he's doing wrong, it's just the boss that's a bit..errh not a kind lady.
If you had spent 2 of those 3 days you tried to kill the boss getting some gear and putting some effort into your character maybe you could have killed her. Thror's a great guy who spent some of his time trying to help you, but that was more wasted time than playing a game, and I'm sure alot of people here would agree on what he said you should do..
I see you have your engineering maxed out.. Making those tinkers would take you about 10 seconds.
Also you could probably get useful enchants cheap off ah. The small stat upgrades matter more than one would think at first glance.

I don't really understand how you aren't able to solo the panther boss, but if you are getting to 3%ish maybe try enchanting and gemming your gear? Also what are you using your rage on? If you start losing health use your rage for frenzied regen, and once at a stable health level start using it for savage defense again. Remember to use your on use trinket when you need it, and bears have quite a few cooldowns to use now so utilize those when neccessary. (Also try popping Son of Ursoc before popping renewal for the max heal from it when you are getting low.) Don't use all your CDs at once.

Wow seems I missed the fun in this thread!
ya know what lookout gave me great advice, an he was the only one that did.
Thror gave you great advice as well, he just hates handholding and spoonfeeding :p I normally do too, but I have my naive moments...
So yeah, I agree 100% with Thror, you should be doing
at least
1 heroic each day (since that gives extra valor points as well on top of the potential gear). If that means you get to do fewer dailies, that won't kill you. But seriously, I have a job (and so does Thror fyi) and I still could play for 6 hours after work if I wanted to (and some days I do :D).
You remind me of how my brother plays. I just leave him be when he's playing (unless he asks a question), and one day I go to check up on him, and I see he's level 81 and leveling in
Sholazar Basin
! Drives me bonkers. And frankly, this has me equally baffled. Why on earth are you spending your time soloing old bosses when you still have the current bosses to explore? Less challenging? Oh wait ...
One more thing to add (don't worry, it's constructive):
i try to avoid maul when its just her
Don't use Maul, unless you are at 100% hp and rage capped. Believe it or not, but survivability is more important than dps. Whether you use Savage Defense or not depends on the melee damage and how much percentage of the damage you receive is dodgeable.
