Zeppelin, Open Sea
"Hey if it comes to wide scale destruction and chaos, there isn't a better brain then mine for that!" The half-elf said with a laugh, grinning at the others. "A cluttered mind makes for great ways to destroy things."
"I can verify that." Koran said with a chuckle.
One of the crewman passed by the group, and grumbled to them that the zeppelin should be reaching the city soon.

Sasha and Flufyclaws made their way through the crowed quite quickly, the girl apologizing to various people she bumped into on her way by.
"Huh?" Alana muttered, Evan snapping her back to reality. "Oh, right."

Character:
Richard
Location:
Stratholme
Richard lay on the floor where he had fallen for some time after, his head slouched into his chest and his back propped up against the wall. Eventually, slow measured footfalls sounded an approach, though the elf paid them little heed. It wasn't until the black shoes came into his field of vision that he looked up, and into the face of the man from the podium.
"Doctor," Richard began, a stupidly blissful smile breaking across his face. "I think I'm in love."
The man reached forward and grabbed Richard by his collar, dragging him outside.

Loud neighing could be heard from behind Selin, and before long she would find her feet parting with the ground as someone grabbed her by the scruff and hauled her onto the back of a massive black charger, clad in shining crimson and gold armor, with burning red eyes.
"Hold on tight!" Turin growled, driving his knees into his mount's sides.
Glauron turned his head to Aylia, "Think someone like us should go and help them? I wouldn't want to throw myself headfirst just like that without at least trying to know the details."

The undead were probably not expecting the resistance of a professional, armed group. Almost all of the mercenaries attacks found their mark. Nevertheless, the walking corpses pressed their assault, their leader leaping into the air in an attempt to crush the nearest mercenary - ironically, the one wielding a battleaxe much like him.
The frost vrykuls fought fiercely, encouraging themselves with battlecries - in sharp contrast to their once-human comrades, who acted without a sound. The val'kyr above them blew the horn once again, this time to try and send magically induced horror into the hearts of the living.

Kiran stood up and looked over the railing at the city as it slowly came into view. "That...is a big place." The half-elf said, almost a little lamely. Koran chuckled and clapped his friend on the shoulder.
"I'm sure it's not that big; 'sides, how hard should it be to find three people in a city of thousands?" He asked, and Kiran gave him a dirty look.
"Never gonna let me live that down are you?" He growled.

"Ugh, waiting," Glauron muttered, grimly chewing a brownie.
At speed exceeding that which normal horses could achieve, they galloped towards the nearest lightrail station - fast as it was, the mount could not compete with the wonders of technology. They had to cross the street, and Turin unceremoniously drove the giant charger into the heart of the traffic, very nearly avoiding a crash.
"Hey, watch where-" an annoyed cry of a driver who had barely managed to stop his car and was now climbing out was silenced as Turin bellowed, imbuing his voice with the Light of the Well.
"Stand down, good citizen. Business of the Republic," the knight growled, leaving the driver standing there, shaking his head.
They entered the station horseback, leaping over the turnstile.

The leader of the undead snarled, and just as the sound escaped the depth of his throat, a wave of frost rippled out of him in all directions. Having far more brute strength than skill - or, for that matter, capability of cognitive process - the giant simply pressed his battleaxe, perhaps hoping to tire Tuon or crack her weapon with his.
One of the undead with the firearms hurtled a bottle with flammable liquid at Nora - while the flames were probably not enough to do any serious harm to the merc, let alone kill her, the smoke that began to rise around her was black, thick, oily and viscous.
The val'kyr screeched, hurtling a bolt of shadowy energy into Isilver. Less than a foot away from her, the projectile split into three lesser ones, one going for her heart, one for her eyes and one for her right knee.

Character: Kef
Location: Stormwind
Kef stepped in, taking a seat when offered. There wasn't much in the room. Just a table, two chairs, and several boxes of unopened military rations. She guess he wasn't planning on staying there long.
"I can't tell you much," the man stated, sitting down opposite the orc. "This is dangerous information. But hopefully what I can tell you will help.
"There's a coven of Shadow Council affiliated warlocks operating out of Azshara. They're all underground, but you're going to be looking for a goblin name Suzy Clinkwrench who operates a small station on the south end of the Rocketway," the man continued. "She's new to the coven, and you should be able to follow her to the rest.
"That's all I can tell you right now, unfortunately. Good luck, though."
Kef nodded, quietly taking in this information. The Shadow Council had gone dark years ago. That they had finally cropped up again was very good news.

"Do you see anyone?" he asked, driving serpentine in an attempt to throw off their pursuer's aim.

"Sanity is for the weak!" Turinhil snarled. This was a calculated action and not a show of emotion, though - he was purposefully scaring away anyone standing between them and the train.
He slid off the charger and rushed towards the train, not turning back since he fully expected Selin to follow him. They were in luck - the cars had just ground to a halt and opened the doors.

The giant did not have time to evade the uppercut. Resigning himself to his fate, he swung his axe down in an attempt to damage Tuon's weapon hand, her weapon deeply embedded in his chest.
The val'kyr distracted herself by sending another wave of psychic horror into the mercs, and as such could not properly react to Isilver's attack. Reflectively, she shielded herself with one of her wings - and came crashing down, the said wing getting cut off, and a blazing mark of the strike across her chest smoking.

Character:
Richard, Thrag, Cleaver, Pyre
Location:
Stratholme
"...and her cheeks light up like a Winter Veil tree when she's mad, and her lower lip does just the cutest thing when she's unsure and-." Richard was cut off as the grip on his collar fled, leaving the assassin to flop onto the ground unceremoniously. He looked up, a circle of familiar faces about him. "Oh! Hey Cleaver, Thrag, Pyre," he greeted, rising to his feet. "How's it going?"
"@#$% off," Pyre, a woman with striking red hair and enshrouded in the black coat and bowler hat of her companions, spat, the click of a lighter sounding in the night as she deftly flicked it open, then closed.
The man who had dragged Richard thus far took several steps away, gazing into the night enshrouded streets. Their group was alone, the streets of this building crowded trade district devoid of life until morning when business hours would breathe life into it once more. Only the light of the moon and the few street lamps offered any illumination amongst the tightly packed wooden structures which surrounded them like ghostly witnesses.
Sighing, the man turned back to face the four identically dressed individuals. He lifted a hand to the back of the other, and turned an invisible dial. His entire form seemed to shudder, then wash away like it was made of water.
The man who now stood before the quartet was a fellow in his winter years, with frizzy and striking white hair and a pair of green goggles over his eyes. The sleeves of a his white lab coat stretched over to his hands, which were encased in a pair of massive square gauntlets. A soft glow came from a dial, one implanted on the back of each hand, and which he had adjusted to dispel the illusion.
"Okay," Dr. Prometheus Sr. began calmly. "Okay...Now, would someone like to tell me what happened, before I decide to use one of you as a club to beat the others to death with?" he said, spreading his massive hands imploringly. "Anyone? Come on, don't be shy. Richard!"
"Eh!"
"Would you like to share something with the group?"
"Oh, uhm, yeah," he began somewhat awkwardly. "See, thing is, the girl who won? Yeah...see...she was kinda, maybe a mage, and maybe sort of fought back. So, yeah, she's kinda not dead," Richard explained.
"And?"
"And I, maybe, sorta, told her the plan for here."
The doctor stared at him silently. "I see..." He turned back to face the building from which he had just been, tension electrifying the air as the four waited for his decision.
"Okay," he eventually began, clapping his hands together, the air reverberating slightly with the motion. "New plan. Pyre? You and I will continue onto Khaz Modan for phase two. Richard? You, Cleaver, and Thrag get those necromancy books. Oh, and while you're at it, kill that mage if you come across her. We'll just blame everything on her, say she used the contest to gain access to the building to destroy it and try to bring down the movement. I'll send the story to the papers, round up some witnesses, by tomorrow, people will want her dead, nevermind believing anything she says."
"..."
"Oh yes, good point Cleaver. We still need someone aside from those people we locked in the storeroom to die to really rile up the crowd. Someone at least slightly important..."
The creak of the revamped warehouse's door had all five turning about. Silently, they watched as the portly and balding announcer from before hurry over, beaming happily. "Gentlemen, gentlemen," he began merrily, "that was brilliant! An excellent show. It's truly wonderful to see such amazing works as those done tonight on behalf of the Intellectual's movement. I could not be more pleased. Now, ahem, where might Technus be? I wanted to thank him for his rousing speech."
The doctor's gauntlet pressing against his chest cut off the balding man. The announcer looked down in confusion, just in time for his whole frame to shudder, a muffled
whoomph
coming from within his chest.
"There," Doctor Prometheus said, not even looking as blood spurted from the announcer's mouth, the man crumpling to the ground bonelessly. "Problem solved. Now then, Pyre," the doctor continued, dusting off his hands, "Take that back inside, then do what you do best."
"Oh #$%^ yeah. Finally," she crowed, stashing the lighter as she grabbed hold of the corpse. As she dragged him away, her sleeves rolled up slightly, revealing long black gloves, several fuel tanks starpped to her wrists, and an igniter.
"Great! Now, I need to go prepare for some radio show. I don't quite get it, but my daughter loves the thing. I wonder if he'll give me an autograph for her? She'd love to have one."
A sudden explosion of flames and shattered glass ripped through the night, illuminating the good doctor and his pleased smile for a moment in a sea of flames. "Oh what fun, she'll be so happy."
Not since the rebuilding of Stratholme had the city seen such conflagration.
Memories of the cities purging and the eternal flames were brought horribly back to life as fire swept through the trade district, the crowded wooden buildings which had sprung up in the frantic need for housing passing the destructive flames to one another like a plague. The alarms of the fire brigade sang as they rushed downt he street, engaging in a desperate battle against the fire before they could threaten the residential districts.
Thick acrid smoke poured into the air, visible for miles around while ash fell over the city like a black snow.
