"Perhaps," January mused. "I have an idea already forming, and it would help to have some associates posed as workers in the portal services."

Blackrock Citadel
"No time to waste." Alana mentioned; slipping through the doorway quickly. Sasha followed quickly, Fluffy taking a moment to cover the two boys and wait for them to go first.
Balah'Amin, Coldpelt
Stormwind City
Balah stared at the sealed doorway before turning back to Dusk. "It's what I do, and I don't see why you have a problem with it."

"Why's that?" Turin questioned. He did not slow down to wait for her, seeing as she would probably take offense at him thinking she could not catch up on her own, merely continued along at a moderately brisk, relaxed pace.

"Would you mind if I left the planning to you? I do not think myself properly qualified to meddle in such affairs, I would much rather simply supply the help - and, of course, the gold," Joyce drawled, steepling his fingers.
Character
: Killian Avery

"Wait here."
His fellow crusaders looked at him quizzically. Killian scratched his chin as he tried to pick the correct words, in the back of his mind thinking that he should have probably had shaved this morning. He then shook his head as he mustered up his confidence, the long ponytail of his reddish-brown hair swatting his shoulders rather comically.
"I mean, stay here and engage his minions. I'll make an illusion of myself and sneak onto him. Hopefully he'll be too busy manipulating his troops to see through my invisibility spell."
"That's dangerous, Mr. Avery, sir," one of the crusaders - the most senior in rank, a sergeant - pointed out.
"Less dangerous than charging at him face first," the mage retorted. He let out a somewhat uneasy laugh, "Relax, I'll just put a bullet through his skull and he'll be dead before he even knows what's happening."
The others exchanged a couple of troubled glances, then the sergeant put his hand on Avery's stooped shoulder.
"Good luck, and may the Light be with you."
"May the Light be with you, sergeant Kronecker."
Another Avery appeared among the squad, immediately taking out his rifle and raising it above him triumphantly.
"For Ashbringer! For the Argent Crusade!" the illusion bellowed.
"For the Argent Crusade!" the others replied in a unified, resonating cry. The real mage, meanwhile, slowly faded into the shadows, waiting a couple of seconds to watch the warriors of Light begin their charge at the infested graveyard. He took a deep breath and followed.
Slipping past the ranks of zombies and skeletons was easy. Descending into the deepest reaches of a vast crypt that stood at the center of the graveyard did not prove to be much of a challenge as well - it seemed that the necromancer had sent out all he had to try and halt the advance of the crusaders. As Killian descended deeper and deeper, down the narrow stone corridors, signs of the malevolent mage's presence began to appear - crude runes on the walls, drawn in blood, and hastily, stench of vile concoctions, and an unnatural chill to the air that seemed to be crawling through Killian's skin and into his very bones.
Finally, he entered a vast chamber that served as the final resting place for the lord to have built this crypt. The room contained several massive sarcophagi, all of them desecrated now. Over the largest sarcophagus, two zombies were crouching, sifting through the dust. And in the middle of it was a haphazardly drawn circle of power, in which quivered a gaunt, tall figure, shouting nonsensical incantations and gesturing furiously.
Avery paused, staring in disbelief - the necromancer looked so desperate it was a wonder he maintained any control over his minions. Worse yet, he was just a boy, fifteen or sixteen at most, wrapped in dirty black rags. Just when the Argent mage began to wonder if perhaps this was just a bait for him when the kid screaming something coherent at last.
"Another one, now!"
Immediately, one of the zombies rose, holding in its hand some small piece of jewelry. He began lurching towards the necromancer. There could be no mistake now - even if this boy was not the mastermind behind the affair, at the very least he was an acolyte, helping to conduct these atrocities. Avery took out his rifle, aimed carefully, and pulled the trigger.
All the doubts he had had vanished when, the moment the bullet went through the boy's head, showering the wall behind him in red, the zombies fell to dust.
"How could someone like him possibly be capable of this?" Killian mused.
"He played his role, nothing more, nothing less. Just as you are about to play yours, young Avery."
The mage found himself unable to move. He could not feel his legs and arms anymore, and even his breath became labored. Helplessly, he watched a naked skeleton with sapphire blue flames raging in his eye sockets step seemingly out of nowhere.
'
What? I- I saw him in my dreams!
' Killian thought, desperately trying to find a way to free himself.
"Of course you did, child. After all, it was I who led you here. A mage, not a priest or a paladin, and yet so remarkably respected amongst the Crusade. You, my Killian, are perfect for my purposes."
All he could do was stare hatefully and fearfully at the lich as the monster walked up to him. The undead raised his right hand, pressing his palm against the mage's face, and the last thought of Killian Avery was, '
How does he know me?..
'
In a matter of seconds, a man barely out of his thirties became a hundred-year old wreck, then but a lifeless husk, thin parchment-like skin over the skeleton, then just a pile of dust.
Killian Avery pulled his hand back, then looked down at his naked body. He prodded his own stomach, tested the strength of his arms, hopped in place a couple of times and smiled widely.
"You alright there, Mr. Avery?" came Kronecker's voice from the outside, sounding worried yet jubilant. "They all fell to dust before anyone of us even got scratched!"
"Good to hear, sergeant! I'll just set this mess to the flame and be joining you!" Avery shouted back, then began gathering his clothing, trying to get rid of the corpse dust staining it from the inside.

Loki made his way to the cathedral district and looked around. "Probably should have asked where she was staying." He muttered then reached into one of his pockets and pulled out his phone and dialed Balah's number and placed the phone against his ear.

Desolace
In his mortal guise, the blue looked like a slightly taller than average high elf. Long blue hair fell past his shoulders, dark purple and black metal adorning his body and giving him the appearance of a battlemage; all but completed by the giant greatsword slung accross his back.
Locronos looked around a little worriedly, feeling lost as he checked his cell phone briefly.

"This isn't working." He said hanging up the phone and rumaged threw his pockets till he pulled out a red fur ball. "Hey Ember wake up I need your help." He said causing the fur ball to unroll revealing the tiny worg pup.
"I wanna help!" He said jumping to the floor and spun around.
"I need you to find Balah." Loki said.
"Sister? Okay!" Ember barked and started to sniff the air for a bit before running off and Loki chased after him.

Sashastrasza, Alana
Blackrock Citadel
Sasha inhaled, exploding into her true form; the pink and green dragon exhaling a wave of frost as she attempted to hold back the fire. She was cramped, however; back against the wall and unfortunately blocking the doorway they had entered from.
Alana gasped, rolling away before rushing at the Dwarf.
Fluffyclaws rushed forward; attempting to claw into one of the Golems.
Balah'Amin, Coldpelt
Stormwind City
Balah heard her phone ringing from another room, before it eventually stopped. She huffed at Dusk.

"Oh, uh, hey." Locronos nodded at the woman. "I'm here about some sort of expedition to Stonetalon, any idea about that?"

Character
: Killian Avery
Location
: Ironforge
A travel from the Wetlands to Dun Morogh took some time. Sergeant Kronecker had a remarkably surprised look on his face when Avery had told him he was to leave for Ironforge immediately. Ironically enough, when Killian explained that he had stumbled upon some very disturbing things in the dark of the crypt, Kronecker relaxed noticeably - presumably because everything made sense again. The sergeant was a good man and a good fighter, not the sharpest tool in the shed but smart enough to understand with all certainty - he had his duty, Avery had his. And now that duty was taking him across the mountains to the magnificent dwarven capital.
Upon arrival to the Argent Crusade's office in the Military Ward of Ironforge, the first thing Killian did was crawl into the shower and change into fresh clothes - the raiment he had been wearing for the mission was ruined beyond repair by the corpse dust.
Feeling a lot better and fresher, Killian requested a list of the mercenaries currently offering their services. It was not long before he dialed the number the group known as Mortality of the Phoenix left for those wishing to contact them.

"She's here!" Ember said pacing back and forth infront of a door leading to the tower.
"Wow." He said looking up before walking inside. "Knowing that drunk she's probably on the top floor." He said stepping into the elevator with Ember and pressed the top button causing the doors to slide closed and the elevator started to rise eventually stopping on the top floor. "Okay Ember." He said opening the door. The worg pup ran out and sniffed the floor.
"More sisters. Moonlight!" He said jumping then stopped. "And Dusk." He whimpered and jumped back into Loki's tool pouch and stuck his snout out.
"I'd rather see there mother then deal with Dusk."
Loki thought as he walked up to the only door he could find and knocked.

"R-right. Um, my name is K-killian Avery, I am from the Argent C-crusade, and I'd like to know if you are interested in hunting undead and retrieving dark artifacts so that they can be properly studied, then disposed of," Killian began speaking, slowly and stuttering at first, but gaining confidence as he went on.

Turin tried to cheer Selin up by doing a handstand and walking on his palms a couple of steps before collapsing into a heap, very loudly.

"Well, in a nutshell, there are several splinter groups that have formerly been affiliated with the Cult of the Damned. Who are they working for now we do not know yet, but what's important is the fact that they, well, go about desecrating graveyards and kidnapping people.
They are very different, and the only two factors that they all have in common are a) they are all employing at least one necromancer and b) each group possesses an artifact that pretty much is the reason they are active in the first place," Killian explained, somewhat hastily. It was obvious he tried to get Isilver to be interested, and that he had little and less experience in such matters - that is, dealing with people, not artifacts.

"Whichever doesn't kill me makes me... well, I like to think stronger," Turin stuck out his tongue. Selin didn't need to know that the fall that looked like a completely random occurrence, a slip of a hand on a traitorous cobble, was executed very carefully, with minimum damage done.
"Also, you look funny upside down. Anyone ever told you that?"
