Ferin Hopewell, Specter
Tanaris
Ferin hit the ground hard; skidding and rolling along the steel floor in pain. "Cora?" He shouted worriedly, getting up as Specter quickly cleared anything between them and him.
Specter's hands suddenly ignited in electricity and chi, becomming obscured by the chargin energy. "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust!" He announced; unleashing the burst from his hands as the fallen blue.
With a shout; Ferin rushed forward and, pulling his broken arm free from the sling, ignited the runes of water along it.
Slamming his fist down, a shield of waves erupted upwards; Specter's assault slamming into it.
Ferin winced at the pain of his broken arm, and the bubbling burns beginning to form along him. "Cora... if you can move... start." He told the Dragon, holding as long as he could against the Chi.

The walls ground to a halt, mere inches from her on all sides. Then, slowly, they began to retreat, assuming their earlier positions. There was a clang as the gate over the door fell from the frame and slid down the stairs, coming to rest on the landing.
"Close," Nigel commented. "Good job. Very."
Character
: Serenade, Zachary Palesen
Location
: Tanaris
Serenade laughed, retaliating with a wide-bore blast of kinetic energy. However, as he fired it, he was punched in the shoulder. He took a step back, grimacing, then glanced down to see his robes becoming steadily more wet. "Ow?" he said, confused, before staggering back more and bumping into the wall. "That hurt," he complained.

"You need to calm down," Bartholomew told Carl in a cautious tone, causing the latter to slam the knife down into the table. "Please understand we are here to help, all we require is for you to tell us what you were doing inside the keep - nothing major," Bartholomew continued, this time speaking to Zeltharis. "Tell us that and you will be free to take your leave."

Character
: Turinhil Dawnchaser, Lisciel Dawnchaser
Location
: Silvermoon City
Turin chewed his lower lip, trying to find the right words.
"At least the mission will be a success, and Marc will soon stop worrying," he said eventually - and somewhat awkwardly at that. An attempt to console Selin would probably make her explode.
Then again, he thought, holding it inside her was worse. He shook his head, making a decision.
"Look at it this way," the elf began, slowly at first, "If you wanted to, you could ask your father for help. You know he can make your participation in the mission a reality - and so does everyone else. If you step on your own throat and sit through it, instead of using any means at your disposal to satisfy your desire, it will show those doubting your self-control how wrong they are."
Turin half-consciously took Selin's hand in his, hoping he had not just made a mistake by reminding her of another way to force herself into the retrieval squad.
Despite Zyrith's speed, six figures were between him and the building by the time he approached it. Lisciel was the tallest and the leanest of the magi present, the sight exacerbated by his elegant armor that contrasted sharply with the heavy garb of a broad-shouldered Blood Mage standing next to him and toying with his single Verdant Sphere.
No two arcanists looked the same. There was only one female among them, a young girl barely older than Selin, short rather than tall, with curly chestnut hair. In her flowing white robes with red fringe and carrying a hefty mace, she looked more like a priestess than a mage.
Next to her stood a youth in scarlet camisole, his face obscured by a decidedly stylish wide-brimmed hat of the same red color and with a large white feather in it and a scarf - also red. His left hand was resting on an ornate hilt of a long, slim rapier at his belt, while with his right he was trying to get a lock of long silvery hair out of his eyes.
His neighbor looked almost shabby in comparison - not only was he short and somewhat plump, his high-collared denim robe and large, conical straw hat looked worn and weather-stained. Though the hat cast deep shadows on his face, his eyes glowed much brighter than those of an average blood elf. He was cleaning his nails with a long, curved dagger, occasionally chuckling under his nose.
The last mage would not look out of place on a military ship - naval or airborne - or perhaps in the command tent, what with his immaculate blue-and-gold uniform, his buzz cut and his soldier bearing. He managed to look stronger and heavier than even the Blood Mage, despite the latter's, frankly, ridiculously large pauldrons. His eyes were constantly scanning his surroundings, and it was him to notice Zyrith first and greet their apparent commanding officer with a formal salute.
Character
: Vincent Gaillard, Isaac Ashwood
Location
: Tanaris
Vincent went down on one knee next to Azure and Varima. It was not often that he lamented the fact he could not make blood return to someone else's veins, but now was exactly the case. The swordsman wished he could have stayed next to the two until he was sure the two of them were stable, but time was something he lacked right now. They had underestimated their enemies, and now one of his friends was paying for it. Vincent tried to reassure himself that it would not happen again.
"You did well," he said soothingly, taking out a piece of jerky and putting it into Azure's beak. "No one would've done better. Now we'll finish it."
The swordsman stood up and hurried into the hangar.
Serenade's attack hurtled Isaac as well as Zachary, and it was only because the half-blood's wounds were lighter he did not share the other boy's fate. Groggily he stood up, shaking his head.
Isaac assessed the situation. He could try chucking Zach into the zeppelin, but that would leave Tori alone against the dwarf, who looked wounded but far less so than the girl. They needed him out of the picture, it seemed - but then again, placing himself between Serenade and Tori he would make it impossible for her to shoot.
Whatever thoughts he had about his course of action became irrelevant the moment Vincent appeared in the hangar, murder on his face and in his heart. The swordsman charged at Tori silently, intending to take a limb or two off her for what she and her friends had done to Varima. He did not see Isaac rushing to intercept him until the last moment - but Vincent was still one of the best sword fighters alive, and parried the boy's attack.
Serenade seemed in no immediate danger, so Vincent decided he could afford to fight without taking any unnecessary risks, methodically wearing already wounded Isaac down.
"Come at me, you horned freak," he taunted, and Isaac did not hesitate to oblige.

The chamber was octagonal in appearance; eight thick columns arranged in another perfect octagon would undoubtedly be the first thing to catch the eye of any who entered the room. Cassidy frowned behind his mask - a lot of nasty things could hide behind the pillars, and just because he saw no shadows on the ground did not mean they were alone.

"This looks about right," Leo noted, stepping inside. "Okay, look for an interface or something."
Chaos.
Unrefined chaos reigned in his systems. Brokkar scrambled through his world, righting whatever he could. But it was a trying and looked to be a lengthy fight. It was as though a burglar had broken into his home, stole the paintings, painted the cat, broke every vase, drew on the walls, and tilted every painting in the house. Brokkar had a back up which he could instill which would right everything, but the damages wrought in the materium would not be so simply repaired. As it was, he was still going through the streaming reports of damages incurred in the physical realm which he controlled.
He froze when a certain stream of data passed by. The AI's spectral hand grabbed it, holding it still and reading the binary and data held upon it.
"Forgers," he gasped in growing horror as he recognized a series of tampered instructions to the forge. "What have you done."

Blades Edge Mountains
The Dragon roared; launching a burst of flame at the cliffside while a blast of gore erupted from the bullet wound. Lasers left holes in its hide; blood flowing out like gysers.
"More movement!" The Elf shouted.
"Wah?" The man asked; wheeling to face the cave as a handful of Black whelps exploded outwards; swarming the dragonhunters with tiny screams and beating wings.

The stairs curved downward, showing an entrance hall with two vast, oak doors set into the far wall. Two tall, clear windows were set on each side of the door. On the left wall, another door was set, this one smaller than the others, though no less grand. A rug, mostly red, but with complex patterns of brown and gold was set in front of the door and proceeded all of the fifty feet to the main staircase.
A hat stand was set in the corner, next to a bin with several umbrellas and canes resting in it. A painting, showing a picnic scene on the Crystal Lake in Elwynn, was set on the opposite wall. It was easily twenty feet across and done in what appeared to be oils.
A skylight was set into the roof above, allowing beams of golden sunlight into the room to light and warm it.
Lastly, a grandfather clock was set against the wall next to the painting. The hands currently pointed to 3:23 PM.

Serenade frowned and lifted his staff, sending several life-severing tendrils at Tori. Before they struck, however, they slammed into a wall of energy, which flared with sky blue light as they touched. Serenade looked beyond to see Zachary, who was humming a strange, melodic tune under his breath.
"Clever," Serenade lauded with a chuckle. "Using sound like that. Not many think to." He attempted to cut off Zach's humming, but found his way blocked by the wall. "Well," he grumbled, and began pounding on it with pure kinetic weaves of energy, attempting to break it open with brute force.

"Well, if the guy is going to jail anyway..." Alana insisted.

"Looks like someone beat us here..." Alana commented, peeking around the corner of the gate.
Sasha moved around; swatting her tail and smacking one of the Elves aside. Others began attempting to fall back from herself and the Guards, prompting the Chromatic to unleash a yellow mist; filling the hostiles with fear and hopefully stopping them in place.

Johann Augustus

Once his beast landed, Johann pried his fingers off his mounts feathery neck. Sliding off the saddle, he nearly collapsed on his unsteady feat. Only just managing to stay upright as he leaned against the bird.
"Ughhh...." he managed to groan.
Character:
Hunter P. Tracker, Havencalw, Faust Kaufman
Location:
Gilneas Countryside
Hunter cursed as the worgen took another sharp corner. He couldn't risk his mount like this. He drew the beast up short, hopping off it's saddle and into a roll. Without losing a second he was on his feet, running after the worgen with both pistols out. "Come back here boy! I gots somethin' with yer name on it!"
His pistol cracked as he took an, admittedly unsteady, shot at the worgen.

He pressed a hand against his heart soberly. "To solemnly remind them that, if they leak any information, I will chop their feet off. And look! It has clicky clacks!" He spun a wheel, a playing card clipped to the frame making a clicking sound as the spokes ran against it.
"Aha-ha! Delightful," the doctor remarked.

Character
: Turinhil Dawnchaser, Lisciel Dawnchaser
Location
: Silvermoon City
"Now why would you think that?" Turin asked. "You are one of the most talented individuals ever to enter the Order. All those high marks recieved on the tests actually mean something - and besides, Zyrith said it himself, you are more than qualified for the mission. I know for a fact he wouldn't sprout comforting lies just to get rid of us. Much like I'm not saying what I think you want to hear just to comfort you - I've got way more respect for you than that. No, the only reason you weren't offered a place in the squad is how personal the problem is for you. You can bet that if someone other than Marc built Sue and you volunteered, you'd be taken along without any fuss.
Our higher-ups, unfortunately, have reasons to be cautious - conditions are the same for everyone. Great things are expected from you, yes - and it's not because of who your parents are, but because of you yourself - but that won't make the Order I know be unfairly harsh to you. A little bit more field experience where you prove them wrong about your self-control, and even more important missions will be laid on your shoulders. Cynical though it may sound, you're just too valuable to be ignored."
He squeezed her hand a bit harder to make sure he had her attention.
"And one more thing. I can't speak for Mrs. Sheriam because I haven't been around her enough, but know this - just like me, your brother and your father both will readily trust you with their lives.
I'm not going to pretend I know exactly how you feel, but I think that sitting through this mission unable to take part is a hard trial - one of the hardest you've had to endure. But if- no, when you've succeeded, you'll see how the higher-ups' attitude towards you skyrockets."
"Alright, ladies and gentleelves," Lisciel waved at the rogue gallery. "This squad will suffer no casualties. Nil. Zero. And this is why."
He pulled out a small amulet on a simple silver chain.
"This is an Amulet of Return, Mk II. No doubt many of you are familiar with the first model, and this functions much the same - you touch it here, here and here and you're yanked through time-space continuum back into the safety of the City's military hospital. However, thanks to the arduous studies of Clarissa," he nodded at the female mage in white, causing her to smile equal parts shyly and proudly, "It can do more than that. A switch here extends a sterile needle," he explained, pushing a small red gemstone in the middle of the Amulet, causing a sharp little needle to pop out with a click.
"Prick your finger, and the Amulet will attune itself to you and monitor your vital signs. It will detect if you've taken a wound that needs to be treated immediately, or if you've been knocked unconscious. In that case, it will transport you to safety on its own, without you needing to do anything.
Now, you may think that getting yanked out in the middle of combat, for example, is not desirable. I'm only going to say this - you are professionals, and can decide whether or not you want to go through the attunement yourself. Besides, after your wounds are treated you can be transported back - each Amulet is additonally carrying a tracer enchantment, and our portal expert, Borwayne," this time a nod was addressed to the mage in red, who tipped his hat at the rogues, managing to look incredibly smug despite most of his face being concealed, "Will bring you back."
