"Well odds are this is insane, and I don't know why I'm going along with it," Sindry replied, slouching against the wall. She glanced tot he stairs as a disgruntled Leo stomped up them, Byte on his head and apparently caught in his hair. He reached into a pocket and drew out five silver, passing it to his sister as he took a seat.
"Thank-you," Sindry said, slipping the coins into a pouch.
"Yeah, yeah..." Leo grumbled, seeming to deflate slightly in his seat. The floor beneath them seemed to kick as the zeppelin began to take off, a goblin airman in a thick coat shutting the door and spinning the handle, locking it securely before bustling back towards the cabin.

"Wonderful," Cassidy deadpanned. "Never was much a fan. Of extensive teams. Also, now I can make my entrance into Ulduar. All this much more impressive."
Whether he was mocking the siblings intentionally or merely expressing what was on his mind was left up to debate.

The wind battered at the tiny airship as it pushed its way through the snow strewn sky, its engines soon fighting for every inch of ground it gained as it drew closer and closer to its destination. It took nearly four hours for the airship to travel through the jutting mountains of the peaks, the ground obscured beneath the thick winds that ferried snows about far below. Then, at long last, their goal rose up, a mountain among mountains, the Temple of the Storms.
It was not easy to draw near. It was like trying to sail before the invention of tacking, only no daughters were sacrificed in an attempt to abate the winds. The small zeppelin struggled through by degrees, until at last it floated before the very face of the mountain. And upon it, nestled nearly half way up, was a single ring of steel amongst the stones, beckoning them onward with its illusion of safety from the world outside.
As the airship ground to a halt some distance form it, though its engines were roaring with all their might beneath the howling wind, Leo stood before the others. "Okay, we're here. Now, the plan is to shoot a cable between the airship and the entrance. Then, we take turns sliding down and into the entrance. It's pretty straightforward, and hopefully nothing goes wrong."
"Jinx!" Byte screamed.
"Oh calm down. It's not that bad," Leo informed the bat, sliding one of the side doors open.
The cabin was instantly assailed by snow drifting by. The entrance in the mountain may as well have been a world away for the distance it held of swaying wind and the odd flash of lightning ripping by. Meanwhile, the perilous drop below, it could just barely be seen the jagged rocks rent by the constant lighting, like a field of swords raised in salute to the dead.
"Great," Sindry said, looking down.

Lord Rivendare
Location: Prometheus' Compound, Spider Island
Lord Rivendare burst out laughing, slamming his fist on the table as hard as he could in exclamation. "You magnificent son of a b!tch! The Forsaken lands? PERFECT! No-no! Don't tell me spcifics, let me guess... Hmmm, Stratholme would be too far out of the way, same with the town of Sepelchur... And Undercity, too much security in the Undercity, too much hassel when there is another prime target." He smiled.
"You clever bastard!
Brill
!
BRILL
!" His laughter resumed in full, and he again slammed his fist on the table as he was caught in its throughs. "How? You have to tell me that much? WHAT was it you unleashed there?"
Characters:
Bishop Amanda the Shadowheart
,
Grand Executor Vrem Dartskul
Location: Brill, Sabatoged Chemical Plant
Armored in the best-crafted leather - with a large cloak created of multiple worgen pelts stitched together - and robed in an elaborate dark robe - with a dark and horned mask covering all but the bottom of her face - Amanda and Vrem strode through the destruction of the plant. In the hours since it's explosion all of the chemicals that would have made the area dangerous to Forsaken had subsided, and although it was not yet clean for the living to dwell within this place there were plenty of undead inspectors to search through the wreckage.
"This is the work of the living," Vrem replied, as monotonely as very. "Only they would have the gall to attack us in one of our most prosperous cities."
"And yet they killed so many of their own?" the Shadow Priestess asked, stepping through the light mist of muck and gas that remained unharmed.
"Life to them means nothing," Vrem said. "They have not experienced enough for it to mean anything but a breif existance for them. They have not undertook enough pain, enough sorrow."
Amanda was unconvinced by Vrem's assumptions; not because she trusted the living, but because of this was always Dartskul's first assumption. He was always quick to point out the signs of the living's hand in all things, and his rise to the position of Grand Executor - by the help of herself and Morec (or "Lord Rivendare" as he suddenly preffered to be called) - had only escalated these suspicions to new heights. She, however, believed exactly what he did. The living were not to be trusted.
If this was the actions of some larger force, though... "We should try to contact Lord Rivendare. The Banshee Queen will be quick to hold a meeting over these events, and she will want the Conclave of Nobles to be present alongside her top Generals. It would be best if we spoke to our associate before that time."
Vrem was disgruntled further by this suggestion. He did not trust "Lord Rivendare," and not like he had before. Before, Morec had merely been a fool; not he was... not. Now he was something different, there was a glint in his eyes that Vrem had never seen before. And it... scared him. Not in the way he had been scared of the worgen upon first seeing them, but scared in a way that he only felt deep down in his bones. Scared in a way that warned him of things to come, of things Morec would do...
... But what choice did they have? They had made a pact with one another, and despite what his personal feelings were he held to his loyalties - it was what seperated the living from the undead. "Let us," he said with a nod. "Let us."

Location

Light from the fires which still burned glinted off the visor which covered the cloaked mans eyes as he surveyed the damage from just outside the blast radius. Clad thickly in a cloak which was once black, but now besmirched a dark grey by countless stains form the chemicals which drifted about the city, he carefully circled the line cordoning off the blasted zone. he adjusted the scarf about his lower face roughly, and seemed to mumble something when he spotted a pair undead, one with a cape made of pelts, and the other in a suit favoured by members of the cult of forgotten shadow.

"I forget the language, but the word 'assassinato' comes to mind," Lord Rivendare said, "translated it means 'kill.' But, surely, you do not attempt to assassinate the Banshee Queen? She'll be
far
too well protected for any mere murderer to reach."
Characters:
Bishop Amanda the Shadowheart

Grand Executor Vrem Dartskul
Location: Brill, Sabatoged Chemical Plant
Vrem knelt down by what had once been a large dumping vat for waste chemicals. He ran his boney hands along the ground, resulting in the chemicals eating away at his fingers tips before he shook them off. "Gunpowder and nitroglycirine," he said. "A lot of it, right next to the garbage vats. Whoever set the explosion placed it so that it would release as many toxic chemicals as possible," he looked over at the sluddy outline of what had once been a Forsaken worker, "enough to turn even the undead into melt."
"So this was an attack again the Forsaken," Amanda looked at the sludge as well. "All the more reason for us to quickly contact Lord Rivendare. If we figured this out, the Banshee Queen's investigators have already done the same."
Vrem nodded his agreement - albeit still reluctant agreement - with the Shadow Priestess, and the two began to take their leave of the destruction and carnage around them.

"Observe."
Cassidy did not even attempt to keep smugness out of his voice as he pulled a large tripod of black metal out of his pocket. Its feet clanged as the mercenary set it on the floor; the way they lurched upon approaching the metallic surface indicated they were magnetic.
The bounty hunter nudged the tripod and let out a satisfied grunt, nodding to himself. He then pulled out a long, sleek gun and began attaching it to the stand.
"I am wondering," he said, tilting his head to the side. "Should I use a dart. With a magnetic head. Or armor-piercing one?"

"Armor piercing, I'd say. With the electric storms, who knows what might happen to the magnet," Sindry observed.

"I'm sorry, Byte," Cassidy shook his head, finishing with the gun. "Even on the rare occasions I keep a memento. Of my mark for one reason or another. It is not their corpse."
He grunted again as he pulled out an impressively big roll of a fine metallic cable. "Mind securing the other end?" the mercenary asked, producing an arm-long dart with a heavy head of strange form; the end of the cable he was holding clicked sharply when Cassidy attached it to the dart.
