I have literally let my nephew try the game out and he's 5. If he can play the game, I expect no less from anyone else.
This proves mobs should have more hp and attack power how?
How? If a five year old can play the game and not die, you have to be pretty damn awful to not be able to handle mobs your own level. Mobs in the game are a joke now, they need buffed. The leveling "experience" is only serving to make players lazy.
So based on your observation of one 5 year old the entire game should be changed? Good luck with that.

What I have to ask now is why you people are so against the mobs in the world being somewhat of a challenge. How lazy have you gotten?
To quote myself from earlier in this thread:
I personally enjoy questing and if I find myself killing mobs to fast I pull more of them at once, or fight naked depending on my mood.
I would like to add to that though I don't expect the entire game changed for me when I am to lazy to create extra challenge for myself.

There is a point that is being misconstrued here - that it would take longer for players to level with mobs that were buffed to be more in line with the damage average quest-geared players can dish out.
As part of the buffs to mobs the experience they grant should be scaled proportionately AND for those quests that say kill X number of mobs to complete, that X could be adjusted as well. With this in mind, the actual time spent is roughly the same as long as you rise to the challenge.

i think all mobs should be like that nelf-lovin paladin in ashenvale.
I'am minding my own business on my troll, picking a flower when from a mile away he comes in running faster than a 360-speed mount froth and rage firing out of all his orifices, ripping my tauren in half with his sword.

Honestly?
A buff to mobs wouldn't be bad. I remember when I first started playing WoW, and things in the starting zone were both hostile, and totally capable of killing you. Now? You would have to try pretty damn hard to let that happen.
But, I'm not really going to complain about that. Because to me, something more important needs a buff.
Leveling needs a buff.
Cataclysm screwed up leveling by making it into a giant railroad. You sit down, make a toon, and before you even know it they're suddenly at 85. (Without heirlooms, mind you. With heirlooms you minus will start at 85)
I don't want free 85s. I don't want to be max level and raid. I want to level.
Pre-cata was alright, as it all still took a decent amount of time. Then they started nerfing XP needed, giving a massive XP rewards per quest, and shoving you through zones faster than you could ever imagine.
And even if you do finish a zone, you're going to wildly out-level every other zone you go to and just one-shot mobs without thinking about it. And that is just... boring.

Did you see they reduced the XP needed to level from 11-40, and from 81-85?

I remember hearing about a nerf to 81-85, but not 11-40 (Seems kinda random, but w/e)
I actually don't play anymore, and don't intend to go back to this or any MMO. As all the problems I had with cata are just continuing in MoP.

I believe there was more flexibility in the past, I remember being able to push into a new zone earlier than recommended and take on some orange mobs and quests.
Not really; it's the same as it is now, just the range has been tweaked. Most Hero Call's/Warchief Command are actually set up to send you through the zones to always have yellow quests; you may not get the zone quest achievement, but just by remembering to go back to the cities every 5 level you can stay in a comfortable leveling zone without hitting too many green quests.

I hate to derail, but since it was mentioned...
Why not?
I actually used to troll about Blizz just "giving" us max level toons. Now, Im serious. This far into the game, ther eis little point, or enjoyment, in the leveling process for many players. They have given us handfulls of XP increasing items and perks, and lowered the amout of XP needed, so why not just give us a button to push to skip the process alltogether?
I have at least 2 dozen toons scattered across servers that are (or were when they were created), max level. I have done every quest in the game, many of them dozens of times. Why force me to do them again, no matter how easy you make them?
The answer, I would think, is character transfer money. The same reason I have toons abandoned across 5 servers. The same reason I have leveled so many toons. I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars to transfer them all, so I bring one, my original first toon, and I relevel all my others.

If they want to give us a button to immediately make a max-level toon, then by all means, they should go ahead and do it.
But, what I am saying, is that I don't want to make a level 1 toon and immediately be level 85 in a week.
The part I enjoyed the most of the game was the leveling. Making a new toon and slowly going through the levels and zones.
But then they ruined that, because people wanted to get to max level faster, but Blizzard didn't want to just have a "Make a level 85" option.
So they tried to find some happy medium, and totally ruined leveling doing it.
