Ask FatalHeaven A Question!

Officially trying to become even more active on the Off-Topic forums and I think the Q&A threads are fun.
All I ask is that no one use this thread to ask me something in effort to get a negative reaction. Those questions will not be answered.

Unfortunately, these threads don't work too well unless the members of Off-Topic already know you fairly well. And while I can't speak for anyone else, this is the first time I've noticed you here.

Hey hey hey hey hey hey HEY! now...
Me either, lol.
However, I'll ask a question:
Why is an alarm clock going “off” when it actually turns on?

Likely by analogy to the way firearms "go off", which usage goes back to Shakespeare's day.
(I trust someone will let me know if we need an "ask fenomas" thread..)
Heyyyyy.... this is FatalHeaven's thread to answer questions, not fenomas. :P

@Donnymurph:
Understandable. I have only been around Off-Topic on rare occasions but was recently invited back by Milayu, so I am trying to become a better known entity.
@sas148:
I have no good answer. Maybe it relates to the fact that when you hear it, you shut it off therefor it IS going off. Lol. I don't know.
@xedosz:
About me, I am 23 in a long term relationship with a fantastic woman. We have a daughter and live together as any other family, except that we aren't straight. I spend the majority of my time working but in my spare time it's spent in a variety of ways. Obviously playing WoW as I lead a Guild and feel an attachment to many of my members. But also reading, cooking, playing with my family (which includes 4 dogs and a cat). Swimming is something I do often this time of year as well. Anyways, if theres something specific you're curious about let me know, without a specific question my rambling will become...well... a ramble.
@Secarious:
We do it for fun. Atleast I did. I see no harm as anyone can choose not to post here and just ignore the thread. There are far more annoying threads out there in my opinion. Not a sir, though since I'm still becoming known here, I will let that one go :)
@Jubilee:
I wanted something personal to me but not WoW-related. About 6.5 years ago when I met my now significant other (in a chat room) FatalHeaven was the user name she used. That's one reason. But secondly, in my own opinions Fatal & Heaven seem to go together. If you believe in it, you have to die to get there. Fatal. Fatality. But it's "worth it" cause it's Heaven. And lastly, the only other factor was because I thought it looked cool and could spark conversations.
@Interest:
Originally I joined so that I could take part in the Guide aspect of the site. Thats one of the reasons I'm not as well known in Off-Topic since I spend most of my time over there. A friend of mine, Squirekel had already been a member here and already had published some guides. And I thought it would be interesting to try it out. Only later did I discover the forums. I like to take part in the forums but it seems I get myself into trouble in the other forums and when looking at Off-Topic, I see people can be more themselves (Within limits of course) and not be made into a jerk.

I am going to again ask that people not post things that would garner negative reaction. Either post a legitimate, respectful question or please don't.

Do I not have the right of freedom of speech to post what I want, as long as it's not against the rules?
Post by
FatalHeaven
Yes you do. I asked. Can I not ask? It's not like I demanded or made threats. I only asked.
Edit: It's a respect thing for me. I try to be respectful in threads I comment in. And if I fail, I take responsibility for it.

Please be nice to FatalHeaven, Funden. The rules state that replies should on-topic when within threads, and she has said she doesn't want that sort of thing in this thread

My apologies for how I've been responding. It was out of line. As you can probably tell, I dislike user Q+A's, but that's no excuse.
For a legitimate question, do you play anything else besides WoW regularly?
E: IT'S A SMEERP. WITH PANCAKES.
