Well that was painful to read.
I don't think Nooska is doing anything wrong, but there are a couple things here that should be cleared up.
- Nooska is talking about the negative impacts of precasting, and how in an uncontrolled raid, people will mess things up, by precasting poorly.
- Azzgunther is talking about how you can start at 2 second cast at 1.5 seconds on a time, in order to save that time on a pull. That's perfectly acceptable.
Pulling at the same time as a group is the best way to do it. In our guild we do it that way too. However, like in nooska cast, we always have the 1 or 2 people that get too excepted, and pre-precast. We need to tell them not too. If you can't precast correctly, you are hurting the raid, and you'll lose that right.
I believe you're wrong in saying that you shouldn't need to taunt. You should taunt on most bosses a few seconds into the pull, just to be safe. I see what you are trying to say, but this is not the best advice. While you should be taunting the boss on the pull, the time when you taunt varies depending on how many hits you have hit or miss. If you taunt too early, your DPS is just going to pull anyways, and then you won't have that taunt ready.
The solution to all these problems is to get 1 Hunter misdirect. That's it. The hunter will cover the needed build up for paladin threat, and after 20 seconds, you won't need to worry about anything else.
Cheers,
