I really like the holidays and collecting achievements its one of the best aspects of WOW imo but this achievement is ridiculous.
Please Blizz make this a feat of strength, i rarely play PVP because a) i suck at it, b) my internet connection is slow and c) I mainly play PVE and do not want to ruin the PVP experience for PVPers by running around like a fool and not being a team player.

Hi, OP here again....
....Anway, I need to leave. the longer I spend reading or typing about this subject, the longer my current anxiety attack will last.
I'm sorry that something that is suppost to help you deal with stress is causing so much stress.
As a person who has completed
I know the frustrations you can have with some achievements, and the late nights staying up trying to complete something.
My advice to you would be to stop putting so much time into stressing about this achievement by posting on forums and arguing with people that will never share your point of view, and find friends in game to help you with the achievement. Group with 4 people, and have them protect you as you do the need achievement.
If all else fails find someone you trust enough to get on your account and do the achievement for you.
Contact me at

if you want me to do it for you.
Cheers,

I was going to suggest this after reading about the OP's anxiety issues. I have very bad social anxiety, and it's gotten to the point where I can't even do LFG anymore (as an aside, I'm somewhat surprised to be able to post on Wowhead's forums since I cannot bring myself to post on any other forums). My husband is going to try to help me do the achievement today, but he may end up just getting on my character and doing it for me if I can't make it through the BG.
Anxiety really stinks, and I hate that I can't just go and do these things myself, but I've learned to be realistic in my limitations and not get too angry when I hit a wall. My point in sharing this little tidbit about myself was so that you, Lucilite, know that you're not alone out there and that it drives me bonkers too. Try not to stress too much (I know, easier said than done), and focus on all the fun stuff you can do. (c:

Thanks for posting that Ashral. I hope you end up posting more on the forums. The more friendly and understanding people we get, the better it is for the community.
Cheers,

I don't understand.
a) you suck at it because you don't want to be good at it?
b) slow internet is an issue for EVERYTHING, not just PvP?
c) If you're ruining someone's PvP experience, you're doing it on purpose. If you want to be good and helpful, do so! Why the hell would you run around like a fool and not be a team player? Do you do that in your PvE instances? No.
#$%^&*!s are &*!@#$%s. There are plenty of %^&*!@#s in PvE too. A lot of PvPers understands that to get to a certain level in PvP, you need to start somewhere.
Think of it as... you're doing this for the achievements... and you get honor points which can be exchanged for PvP gear or justice points. WOW! 2 birds with 1 stone.

all of these objectives of said achievement is things you are
SUPPOSED TO BE DOING IN BG'S ANYWAYS
.
Not really. I mostly raid, but have a set of pvp gear and do a bg now and then on my main. The thing I hate the most about this achieve is the fact that I'm pitted against my allies who want to win (and the others who want the achieve), while I have to focus on a goal that is often at odds with theirs or at least not useful. Everyone individually trying to return a flag or capture a tower is more likely to lead to a loss than to victory. I don't much appreciate having to act as a dead weight when I could be helping instead.

I'd like at some point to discover what the true point of this achievement is. What exactly was Blizzard hoping to ultimately achieve by keeping this portion of the Children's Week achievement as is?
If they were trying to make it very very hard for non PvPers to complete it, or annoy serious PvPers for a week out of the year they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
If they were trying to convince PvEers to give PvP a try they have failed miserably. Once I finally succeed in doing this I will never enter a BG again, to the great satisfaction of many a PvPer I am sure.
With rare exception I don't believe that either camp is happy.

I completely agree that this should be removed from the achievement.
I get depressed this one week a year knowing i still can get it. I still try and try but leave upset. I do NOT enjoy playing this week.

This achievement is starting to really annoy me. I have gotten the WSG and AV done but EOTS and AB are being stupidly annoying. Doesn't help I have very little time to play lately and those two things are holding me back from getting my title!
