This is easy. Interest. I don't have a whole lot in common with him, but he is reasonable, intelligent, patient, and unflappable, which are great qualities to have when faced with a stressful and potentially dangerous situation. There would be no sexual tensions between us, because we're both very straight. He also doesn't have the kind of personality that gets on my nerves, and that is very very rare. I could see him contributing to bettering our situation, by exploring possible routes off the island, and constructing useful structures and facilities.

pikeyboy. Depending on the "plenty of food" bit, he'd do the hunting and the cooking and I'd do the complaining for both of us.
Except I'd be stealing him away from his wife and he'd probably be sorely disappointed to wile away years with someone incapable of holding a note.
I think Patty, DoctorLore, Interest, fenomas and OZ are unencumbered by relationships. Not sure about the latter two and OZ has swimming (doubt he'd appreciate salt water) and Interest has his blog. Hrmm...
Edit: Oh, I'm from the UK and Japan is my ideal vacation. Compounded by my friend's rich dad drunkenly offering tickets to there, me trying to learn tourist Japanese and then him retracting the offer.

#81- If you were stuck on a deserted island, with shelter and plenty of food and water, but no way off and nothing to do, what other wowheader would you want there to keep you company, and why?
Rule: No one you know IRL, unless you met them through wowhead.
Hmm, probably either Neonhyper or lightnstuff.
E;
Funden. I'd help him build a temple, which would keep him happy, and me busy. As gamer said- we play similar music, so could keep ourselves sane by figuring out ingenious ways of creating instruments that play a chromatic scale. Maybe whistles first, or coconut ocarinas...
I like this plan.

Do I have a gun? And can I be on the island alone?

The idea is that survival isn't an issue- there is plenty of food and water readily available, natural caves that provide shelter, no poisonous animals or predators. It's more a question about who on wowhead you'd either most like to, or least mind having to, be around all the time indefinitely with no other forms of entertainment or human interaction.
If it makes it easier to answer if you have other necessities- clothes, bedding, cookware, etc. then you can say those washed up too. It's a "who do you mesh with" type question.
I have to think on this a little more for my own answer- there are a lot of factors. But I thought it would make a fun QOTD.

I don't understand why anyone would want someone they are physically attracted to to be on a deserted island with them. With the exception of my wife, because, well, she's my soul mate and is the best company ever, there isn't any female... no matter how attractive, I would want around. Besides the sexual tension, you have pregnancy/children to worry about. It seems like this will create problems, whereas two dudes are usually pretty cool ignoring each other. I mean, me picking Interest is because he is the kind of guy that will either be productive, or easily ignored. I could probably spend 6 months on the other side of the island (I had a big island in mind) and not talk to him. I'm a loner, and I need someone that will leave me alone. Maybe this is just me.

I don't think sexual tension exists unless no one is acting on it. Once you're acting on it- "poof" no more tension- lol. Tension would indicate that either one person is not interested, or they're holding back for other reasons.
In any case, the alternative is a future with no sex whatsoever. I think that many people would prefer to have a sexual partner than to not have one, given a choice.

I could answer that in a few ways but they would all be waaaaay too inappropriate. But really, I doubt people here think about this question to that extent, man.

I've put a lot of thought into it... deserted island, world economic meltdown, zombie apocolypse, and viral decimation of the human race scenarios occupy a lot of my fantasies... ya know... where I don't have to put up with people anymore and their intolerable idiocy. Think about that... I prefer mindless brain eating monsters over the scum that currently walk the streets.
