Apart from humans, probably that giant Japanese crab. Not something I'd want to cuddle with though.

#67- Are you scared of heights?
I kind of am. Not of planes or roller coasters or anything, and not looking out windows of tall buildings. But if I'm standing in front of a floor to ceiling window, or on an edge of some place high up, it gets to me. Walking across that chain in Blackrock used to make the hair on the back of my neck stand up, because it was visually representing something my brain said was a no-no.

When I was younger, yes. Have gotten over it though.

Yes! I have no problem if it's from a plane or anywhere that I'm sorrounded by stuff to hold on to. But just looking down from a big bridge makes me dizzy.
It's not just that I hate heights, it's the fact that my vision will turn sideways when it's a long way down.

No. If you fall from eight metres you're going to be just as dead as if you fall from sixty.

It's not the falling that kills you- it's that sudden stop at the end...

My only fear is needles. I'd rather not be up high, as it is unsafe, but I don't have the sensation of fear. I don't fear death, guns, public speaking, speed, being in tight spaces, etc etc etc... except needles. I get weak at the knees when I see a hypodermic needle.

It depends. When I was walking the Great Wall I got to a point where I was like I CAN'T DO THIS and was like shaking and crying because it's basically like going up a mountain, but that was pretty much the only time I felt particularly afraid of heights. I now regret not completing the journey, but at the time I just couldn't do it. I sometimes get vertigo though.

I don't remember the Great Wall being all that intimidating. I didn't walk too far along it, though, because I was sick as heck, but I got to the top and sat and admired the view. Are some sections much higher than others?

Sort of. Not a pronounced fear, but I always get this inclination to throw myself off of tall structures, which scares me more than actually being up high. Same thing at railways or around heavy machinery.

Yes, to a degree.

It depends on what part you go to, yeah. We went to the longest chunk of it and it's literally on a giant valley or a mountain or something. It was terrifying because it was so steep and the steps, as you'd know, are all so uneven.

I wouldn't say I'm afraid of heights, but more so falling. I get scared even falling down a couple steps.

Not a fan of ladders or cliff sides, but I have no issue with balconies and planes.

And it won't matter if you stop after falling a hundred metres or ten
:p

I'm not scared of heights, just the thought of falling and
knowing
that you're going to hit the ground.

Very afraid.

Pretty sure you can survive a eight metre fall and end up with a bunch of broken bones.

Depends on the control of the fall and the substance landed in too. OZ probably regularly sees people falling quite gracefully and smiling not long afterwards.
I remember reading a story about a couple that were kissing and fell off a cliff and brushed it off, though I can't find a cite online.
