I don't really take vacations, just about two three-day weekends a year.

Oh, I don't think I'm going to travel. Trying to save money. That way if I find a job after uni I can put down a deposit for renting a room near my job (got an eye on one in Yorkshire). I did want to go to Japan or New York, but it'll be too expensive. Can be put off for a year or two anyway.

That's what I do too. The week I plan on having a vacation is over a 3 day weekend, so its really only 2 days off a normal working week.

#260- How did you come to be in your current profession?

#260 - I was working at Geek Squad and sold a computer to my current boss. He was so impressed with my knowledge that he asked me for a copy of my resume. When I sent it to him, he told me he was looking for a Desktop Support Analyst and asked if I cared to interview. I interviewed, nailed it like a boss, got a new job and about $4 more an hour to do the same thing I was doing at Best Buy, but without the stupid people!

I was hustling and bustling at my previous job and my (current) boss lady handed me a business card with "Come in for an interview next week" written on the back. So I did, and here I am!
I am very grateful because my prior job was a huge dead end, although I loved it.

My year 4 teacher told me that actuaries earn $16k/month. What she didn't tell me was how long you needed to work before you got that...

I had connections. This job works well considering I stay up late and sleep into the afternoon anyways.

I have found I seldom get sick, but when I do, look out cause it is nasty. I mainly lay in the bed or on the couch like pikeyboy does...I personally think paying 200-300 bucks for a doctor to tell me "drink lots of water and get rest" is ridiculous. If i am down more than 2-3 days I will go to the dr, but not before then.

I don't generally go to doctors if I can help it, but I was so sick the last 3 days that it was crazy. I'm back at work today, still coughing up a storm. But at least I can breathe now.

I've never gone to the doctor for being sick, with the exception of when I was little with a 105 fever.
