May be your computer lone; I get some crashes, but haven't had any major ones lately except when I actually exit out of the client...of course, I'm currently testing quests and the like on a low level Monk, seeing which chains are broken and which work. I get the loot crashes, but usually if I try to click on loot multiple times while Auto-Work is going on.

Well...I have a good computer.
I wouldn't call a gaming computer..but good enough to get decent FPS and low latency on regular WoW.
Using window 7 64bit..so maybe my direct X version is causing some problems.
Made a Panda and the system crashed after the cinematic.
Same happened with a human.
Made a dwarf and it worked fine until I got to ironforge.
If my system specs are deemed unplayable..then there are going to be a lot of frustrated Beta testers.

Way to find out; go to the Warcraft website and opt yourself into the Beta, and it will take stock of your computer.

Well at least there is one good thing about the AP Beta testers....they can at least stress test the servers for Blizzard lol.

I am pretty sure that the annual pass was not purchasable, moreso an agreement to stay subscribed to WoW while all these other games were coming out.
As a result, you are getting Diablo 3, a huge huge HUGE deal for new gamers and old gamers a like, for FREE. FREE. FFS.
You were also given beta access when it came out. Now, this is what the whole thread is about. There are many examples of how this is working on the thread.
It clearly says on the beta help page:
I am participating in the World of Warcraft Annual Pass promotion; when do I begin testing?
We’re inviting Annual Pass holders in waves over the course of the beta test, and will be ramping up the number of invites we send as quickly as possible. We’ll be inviting Annual Pass holders based on several factors, including how long your World of Warcraft account has been active and when you signed up for the Annual Pass. Keep an eye on your Battle.net account and email for your invite to join the beta test. Annual Pass holders do not need to complete the opt-in process or run the System Check tool.
Please note that our Customer Service department cannot help with flagging accounts for the beta and is not able to tell you exactly when you will be invited.
How many players do you plan to invite to the beta test?
Our primary focus will be ensuring that all of the players who signed up for the Annual Pass are invited over the course of the beta test. The number of additional players we invite will be based on our testing needs. If during the course of testing we determine we need more players to participate, we’ll invite more.
So what does that mean? Blizzard is not your ex-girfriend, and leave you with empty promises. You'll get your beta invite when you get your goddamn beta invite. People qq'ing about how Blizzard is deliberately withholding sending the invites really have nothing else to do? Pretty sure it's not the end of the world, and there's a lot more to worry about than some beta access you claim you purchased.
You really have missed the point of this entire thread, there are 10 pages now saying pretty much the same as below.
First of all,
that quote is the edited version, previously, when back in november, I signed up for AP, that was not what it said.
Also, I never EVER in my first post mention that blizzard was holding back on invites, I said that they promised us access when the servers went live and that they didn't keep their promise.
I believe there is people who feel like currently in WoW they got nothing to do and thought that when beta was gonna come out they would, no matter if they thought it was a preview or knew what beta is, have something to do, even if it ment your game crashing a billion times.
Now they didn't get it in the first wave, the second wave or the third wave and think that while everyone has stuff to do ( No matter if its crashing ) they don't.
.. and, I don't really see a problem with 10 pages, because no one is forced to read them, but because since page 3 we have just been going around in circles, i am happy with that atleast some people can partly, or fully agree with me.
Unless you have any new arguments to add to my latest post, I say thank you for the mature discusssion and bye.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##I've just removed a bit of excessive bold/underline. If you embolden everything then it no longer accentuates anything.

I wasn't expecting perfectly, not even a PTR version...but I was expecting to be able to see a few things before crashing all the time.
This is obviously a very raw product at the moment. With zero enjoyment so far.
Like I said..I don't mind helping out...I'm diligently filling out the crash forms with what I was doing at the moment of the crash.
But filling in..."I was standing in Ironforge" could stretch this beyond being reasonable.
To save someone a post "you don't have to play Beta"...your right, I don't.Beta testing is not meant to be for enjoyment, it's meant for the exact purpose you are fulfilling: crash reports. Blizzard don't want me as a beta tester, so people like me ultimately rely on people like you to help with the testing.
But it seems that so many people have the incorrect idea that beta is a preview, or a chance to play MoP before it goes live. They want to play it before everyone else does. I have a guildie who was excited to get beta access so that he could tell us all about it, but he won't play it because it's "too buggy". Well, duh! I may be wrong, but I'm guessing that he represents the majority of beta invitation recipients. I'm also guessing that those who treat beta access as an inalienable and contractual right fall into the same camp.
Then Blizz can hire back the 600 employees they laid off and have them beta test.
I'm not on their payroll...just the opposite...if I can't at least participate just a bit in the actual game then I have better things to do with my time then be there lab rat.
It comes across as very shoddy work...to release a beta version this buggy.
So far...with people like the OP feeling left out and testers like me who have the task of reloading WoW every few minutes...this deal has been less then stellar.
Just my two cents.
