You may not be a Star Wars fan, but chances are, you have seen the films (Original trilogy and the prequels). So if you have seen Star Wars, you may have heard that George Lucas has done multiple changes to the films' scenes (particularly original trilogy) that a lot of the franchise's fans are not happy about. I'm talking about the "Han Shot First" incident. I'm talking about the episode 6 blu-ray re-release, at the end of which, during the ultimate battle scene between Luke and Darth Sidius, Darth Vader suddenly shouts out "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" as he intervenes. I personally portray George Lucas as a *!@#ing villain after butchering the films.
What's your opinion?

South Park did it best where Lucas and Spielberg raped Harrison Ford....really, that just says it all.

There was one part in Episode 4 (I think) where Lucas added in a musical score to a bar scene. It sounds awful. Like jazz and rock sung by an alien Fran Dressenger. That one little clip ruins that scene for me. None of the added stuff "flows". It's more like a "I brake for hot nuns" bumper sticker on a Rolls Royce. Why mess up a good thing?

Let's hope the Doctors link is what really happened.

I didn't mind Indiana Jones 4. I don't think aliens or surviving nuclear explosions are less credible plot points than finding the holy grail or the arc of the covenant.
Edit: I think Shia LaBouef is a bit of a %^&* though.

See, I think the Star Wars movies were fine as is, and he should have left them alone. However, someone who can read needs to go back and fix "The Mist" and "I am Legend," because whoever shot those movies should have their artistic license suspended. At the very least, they should finish a book before they make it into a movie.

SO TRUE.
I'd like to add that if you're also making a movie about a tv show AT LEAST watch the darn thing rather than start making s*bleep*t up (Looking at YOU shyalaman and your BLASPHEMY of a movie regarding Avatar)
However regarding the changes in the original movies, I'm taking the same stance as Boronizde. I own the original trilogy (On VHS =D....... and later DVD) and I know for a fact that he can't just reach into my house, steal those, edit them, then put them back in. So as far as I'm concerned, all those changes he made to the originals never happened.
I have the originals in their un-edited form, and that's the way they're gonna stay.

I've never understood why people get so upset over movies. They're just that, movies. It's George Lucas' movies, and he should be able to change them if he wants to.

Well, imagine if Da Vinci got back to life one day and decided to add mustache to Mona Lisa...
Kinda ruins the beauty...
brilliantly put man xD

To be fair, that would change a single piece of work, and replace it with something new. This is more "What if he repainted a second version with a mustache, and a third version with a sub-machine gun, and a fourth version with an obnoxious creature with long floppy ears." The original would still exist. So, as much as all the subsequent versions would suck, they wouldn't have removed the first one from existence.
