Although not officially supported (read: not against the rules but not advised either), I just purchased my Heart of the Aspects for a cool 20k gold. This was the first pet store mount that I really liked the looks of and when I saw the advertisement in trade, I couldn't pass it up. Having just been taken for 50k on a gold-for-server-transfer deal, I was sure not to get taken again. This seller turned out to be legit, and now I'm happily zipping around the skies on my Heart of the Aspects.
I would have liked for there to be a really sweet mount that drops from H Madness, but honestly nothing can beat the look of the fire chicken. For a purchased mount, this one is pretty damned sharp.

I love the way it looks but I didn't want it to be on the store/as the last achieve or for the TCG. I'd have liked it to be maybe a rep grind (not like the firelands one with the dailies) or something along those lines..

I prefer it to be on the blizzard store as low level characters like me can get it ( I'm level 70).
I saw it on a level 20 yesterday.

i wanted it as Final Achievement Reward from DS
Me too. It definitely would have been a very saught after mounts - it's gorgeous! I got one for myself, though. I just couldn't say no. My sparkle pony was getting lonely.
You, then, are one of the very people behind the reasoning to place it in store. People are becoming more and more willing to pay for extra pixels so it's only natural that Blizzard then is willing to sell them. If nobody was willing to buy them there would be no sense in putting them in the store.
Personally, I have bought both the Celestial Steed and Moonkin Hatcling (though now I regret the star pony, since this new mount is much better looking). Some people wonder why, as they do not give me the slightest edge in the game, but my reason is clear: they make me more happy playing the game. They could be compared to playing a game with better graphics over a similar one with worse (let's say gameplay is somewhat equal): you pick the one that looks better. I think my WoW experience is more fun with a sparkly Celestial Steed to fly on and a cutelicious Moonkin Hatchling to follow me :D
Your response confuses me. You make it sound like I'm an enabler, pretty much, for Blizz to have these pixels available at my own money's expense. Then you go on and confess you've bought from the Blizzard store as well.
My sparkle pony was gifted to me, in my defense. Apart from the Aspect, I bought the Pandaren Monk when it was on sale for $5, taking into consideration that I've bought TCG pets off of eBay for that price, or cheaper. I'm not a fan of throwing my own money at a video game, but it's my hobby. Hobbies cost money if you want to make it more enjoyable (for the most part).

I bought one myself, and just like the other store mounts, love it; if it was a reward for a raid, I doubt I would have been able to get it.

I just saw someone selling it for gold, is it allowed to buy them? Is bannable if you buy it with gold?

It's against the terms of use to purchase
and
sell BlizzStore pets or mounts for in-game gold yes, it's also considered a unsupported transaction since it's against the terms of use — meaning the Game Masters most likely won't be able to refund any lost gold or items if you get scammed.
Bind on pickup items from the BlizzStore are considered services, and are therefore against the terms of use to purchase or sell for in-game gold.

I just put in a ticket regarding a server-transfer-for-gold offer I got scammed on (my fault totally, was in a hurry), and my account didn't get actioned. If it was against the ToU to buy a server transfer, I would have been dinged for confessing my "sin."
But the bold, underlined part above is the most important part. I was told "tough luck Chuck, but we'll action the person who ripped you off."

Pretty much this, it would be lame for the people who don't raid, because they'd never see it. Not all the cool mounts should be boss drops.
Just like Wotlk, with the LK mount, and the achievement mount too. It is easy to get now because of cata, but back in wotlk, I've never seen alot of people with that mount.

And that's fine for Invincible; but why should the Heart just be a raid only thing?

That...makes no sense, you do know that right?

Because the mount looks cool.
Now it make sense?
Post by

No, since there are a lot of cool looking mounts that don't come from a raid.
