I tend to lean towards plated juggernauts raining down crushing blows of steel upon my enemies. Melee damage dealer and tank tend to be the types of classes I pick in RPGs and when given the chance to take a class which does both of these well it is an easy choice.

I ALWAYS play casters with a healing focus. Even when I try to play warriors. Or a rogue type. I have two casters on Skyrim and I tried to make a rogue but I don't play her.
Hmm, whenever i can, i allways play a protector of the Light, such as a paladin, or a priest. Anything that seems/are holy so i can aid my allies in battle and vanquish my foes by smiting their bad deeds!
Personally I prefer ranged classes over melee, I usually tend to start out with a ranger/hunter type, or maybe a pet class if one is present. Afterwards I tend to either play a healing class or a tank, tending towards a magic ressource tank over a pure melee. Sometimes I even make a melee warrior/barbarrian.I just usually pick classes that I want to try out and I see if i like their mechanics, and if I then find them uninteresting I drop the character completely. I just cannot decide upon a single class, though I go for magical based classes over non-matical and ranged over melee.
Rogue - I likes me the combo's!
I always play a Dual Wielding Warrior. I just want to pound enemies with Hammers/Maces into nothing, I find that the most enjoyable.
I'm a warrior at heart. I find running around hacking things to bits with all the tact and finesse of a bull in a china shop, armed with nothing but as much steel as I can strap to myself and generous lashings of PURE MANLINESS rather cathartic. :)I'm known to dabble in mage-types quite often as well, because huge explosions of doom are also quite cathartic. :)
I'm usually playing a brawler/berserker type of melee god hero that leaps into the battles head on and worries about what could happen to him later. That or the high control and damage caster though the vast majority of the time I'm playing my god hero melee.
I usually play Wizard or Necromancer classes in RPGs on the first play through. In play throughs that follow I usually am a rogue or a warrior of some sort.
Always DPS first to learn the game. I then play tank or heals, depending on what looks more fun!
I always start a paladin/knight looking character with blonde hair and blue eyes with face-is-my-shield tactics, but then world of RPG corrupts me i notice many places where i can't get being not spoted, things that can be stolen, or some npc's that can be silently killed and i reroll rogue style assasin cannibal with dark magic abilities and end up the game as very bad person, but with full pockets of cookies.
I usually play dark-demonicwielder-undeadraiser-powerhungry casters in RPGs, but, if the monk class is available, i would always choose a monk over a caster...
I like playing classes that have a lot of options to them. In World of Warcraft I play a druid. It's fun because you can be a caster, healer, melee dps or tank. When I'm fairly new to a game I prefer playing casters because you can kind of look at everything while fighting verses having a huge monster up in your face all the time. xD
I normally play either a Healer or melee dps. The reason I like to play a healer is because the feeling you get when you heal a group and achieve something great is indescribable and playing a melee class is just so much fun! It's a in your face I'll stab you with sharp pointy objects and kill you thing. Doesn't get any better than that. Just sayin'.
I almost always play a Paladin, or a battle cleric if there is no paladin.Armored with healing abilities. Thats me. Rush in and save the day!
