Back in my Everquest days I played a Monk, when I came over to WoW I had to go with the only class that could beat up everyone no matter what like the Monk... and that is the Warlock. Really hoping the new Monk will be as great as I remember it being 12 years ago when I played EQ.
I am Archamonius, i like a melee based magic class that enhances the weapons normally but i also love armour, i usually play dragon age, wow, mass effect and other stuff
I almost always play a melee class. I'll play a squishy if it does more DPS and I have a reliable tank. If not, I'm going straight for the plate wearing, dual-wielding, rage capped berserker class. Then again, if I can play a tank-mage (Ultima Online anyone?) I'll always take the best of both worlds :D

Wow is the only RPG I've played, but I suspect I'd have ranger as my favourite type. :-) It's what I keep making new ones of in Wow at least.
I like playing melee, like paladins and warriors, and I usually like to tank. Don't really like to play casters very much, and hunters and rogues are usually fun.
I like to play casters. I can't cast spells in real life, so it seems more fun.
I usually start out as a melee/warrior/barbarian-style character, play a caster for a while, and end up with a ranger type.
I like to play the most versatile class available. Something that's equally able to DPS and heal, or something that can both DPS and tank... I like being able to mix and match, and play a little bit of everything so I don't get stuck in a rut! :]
Whenever I play an MMORPG, I go with a damage dealing class. Some people think that DPS'ers can easily be replaced. I make SURE they don't replace ME! I give it my all to CRUSH the enemy with cruel attacks from AXES, GUNS, LANCES or BOWS. I am a CRUCIAL part of any team! Without ME, you're gonna be there all day! Hehehe. Wanna PvP? Nah, ya' dead before you can raise ya' swords or wands or what have ya'.I'm interesting in Reckoning, I can't wait to see what FRESH MEAT is over in there! *Wicked grin.*
I'm a in their face melee bashing fool. Warriors and anything heavy plated are my favorites.
Usually a melee damage dealer (rogue class specifically, if that choice is an option) Anything that's up close and in the action is great! Casters are sorta meh.
It seems to me i love Warrior types. IT always brightens my day to just charge into battle and send corpses flying. Combos and stylish finishers are something casters and rangers dont have at all and sneaky classes have very little of. I feel Warrior combat is the most exciting and rewarding while Casters just seem to be Auto-win unless you run out of mana/magic. Sneaking about itsnt really my style and is frustrating if you are caught. I just run up to a guy, introduce my mace to his face, and his body to the ground.
In the earlier days of Hero's Quest (Quest for Glory: So You Want To Be A Hero), I always liked a thief with the Magic skill. Ever since, I've tended towards rogues/roguish skills with a smattering of magical aid, because it can get me to more places from more viewpoints with more options - which is more fun. ^_^In most cases I still end up with a bow if at all possible, though - no matter with what (intentionally or practically) I start out.
Zelkova and I have always been a caster type, and I really love lightining spells. I never really like melee unless I am a rogue type.
I always end up with a warrior-cleric vibe... whether it's a paladin, or a melee fighter who has self heals and buffs, etc...
I usually play a ranger or thief if available, otherwise I put on my wizard robe and pointy hat and set things on fire. :-D
I genuinely enjoy playing any assassin / rogue type. These seem to bring out the most fun in a game for me. Nothing beats sneaking around tactically eliminating your targets one by one with heavy damage.
