Warriors. AWLAYS the Warrior. Something about being able to stand toe-to-toe against even the biggest of beasts and just taking everything they can give and returning it ten fold is just awesome.I don't have to run away and recover stuff like the lighter ranged classes, I can get right in there and start wrecking faces. Plus I use that as a gauge to how the rest of the game will handle, if they can't get a melee class right the rest is looking to disappoint.Plus you had the Diablo 2 Barbarian and his Leap "HEEEEEEE!" shout, which I love.
Spellcaster prefered, especially healing. If not then a bulky 'tank' feeling character class.

I always go for the warrior type, heaviest armor and massive 2h swords and i'm game! Simply enjoy cleaving everything i see ^^
Mages!
I love playing mages, priests, any casters in general! For some reason I just find it more fun and harder to play in most cases. Love being that mysterious magician you'd find in the woods, who knows the answer to anything pretty much anything, with a snap of their finger.
I normally play a warrior-type class. You can't bust skulls as a sissy wizard.
I usually pick a magic oriented hybrid. A fighter/mage who slings fire at enemies while smashing them with hammer, or a thief/mage who uses stealth/invisibility to avoid enemies or summon elemental allies to distract enemies while I rain magical arrows at their backs.
I often play the mage like class. But i also prefer the rogue kind, they are both fun!
I've always tended to learn towards the hybrid classes. I like helping out my fellow man as a healer/buffer, but I can't do that forever. I need to be able to throw lightning at people or bash their faces in with a mighty hammer! :D Never liked sneaking around much, though. If my enemies are gonna die, they're gonna know who killed 'em.
I find myself playing most of the classes. It really depends on my mood. I will go for long stints as a caster, usually healing. Then I can go for a bit as melee, usually tank. I am not much for straight up dps.
I must admit that I am a gal of the cloth... I prefer healing roles over any other in most games I play. My love for the class began as early as 1992, when I fell in love with the ever popular "White Mage" in Final Fantasy I (for the NES!). Since then, I've seldom strayed... give me a morning star, and a book of prayers, and I'm game!
this should be fun...
