I normally will end up playing all classes, but I usually start out with a melee (dps) class and will try a caster class later.
Most RPG's I tend to play a caster; I am excited to play a caster with a giant great sword in reckoning. Muhahaha!
archers or tanks are my class xD
I always play the summoner type because i love having minions Muahahaha!
Rogue
Anything big with a lot of power, barbarian/warrior that kind of thing.
I generally play a caster the first time through, just for the effects and the "I'm a freakin' GOD" feeling you get from high powered spells. But really, I like the stealthy archer playstyle the most.

I usually play casters or some other form of ranged dps.
My favorite in most RPGs is to be the mage. Throwing spells from the back is the best, and I can maneuver myself to avoid the incoming damage way better than the AI.
Well when playing a RPG i usually play a damage dealing/tank class most commonly a warrior and in some occasions i play damage dealing casters such as warlocks or mages but if there is a rogue class that would be my favourite.Well i think being a stealthy assasin of some sort is everyones preferance i think
I usually play caster role. Depends on how many friends Im playing with usually. If I have a set amount of friends that will stick around ill play healer. If not, then I'll just solo it up as a dps caster.
I like being a rogue or thief
I always try to play a caster when there is one because magic is usually the most beautiful effect in a game and lets be real: who wouldn't want to throw fireballs and lightning like some demigod? Plus there is the added benefit that magic-users are generally regarded as intelligent, clever, or otherwise blessed and why not go with a character you can respect for more than the fact that he could tear your arms off or assassinate you ninja-MacGyver style with some twine, a few springs and a paperclip. I love the games where even the barbarous characters are given some element of mysticism (whether it be shamanic or shadowy, divine or demonic) because I find that it really elevates the level of fantasy and immersion. If I wanted to watched a 3D model hack & slash there way through fields of blood I'd watch 300; if I want to watch someone throw a spear of light threw a thousand devils, step through some dark portal to take off a person's head, or blast a dragon to bits with flair and panache...then I turn to RPGs. It is magic that really elevates the genre, so I feel duty-bound to embrace the avatars of mana that such games gift to us - I wade through the bones, blood, and bits of my fallen enemies with a staff as my guide & spells as my companions. To all other classes that seek to pass the test, I can say only this: You Shall Not Pass!
I normally start out with something like a warrior or occasionally a caster, but it always evolves into a stealth character (because I think stealth is hard to program and tends to end up OP in a lot of games, but the mechanics are always fun).
I tend to prefer a mix of stealth and magic, I love Rogue classes with a little arcane tint. Being stealthy spell-wielder is immensely fun to me!
