I always always pick the ranged archer type class in MMO's so WoW was a hunter, SWTOR was a trooper, and definitely playing the rogue ranged archetype in Kingdoms of Amalur!
I love being a Sorcerer, a human which loves the study of the arcane but is also able to deal in a swords duel!
My usual class of choice is rogue. In almost every RPG that they are available. Thanks for the competition, I, as all others, hope to win it! :P
Normally a melee-type class, something that charges in and causes as much carnage as possible.
I tend to be a caster, which ultimately results in squishiness, and I go primarily for damage or healing. It has made me pretty pro at sneaking around and/or running away, ha ha! I have tried to go without casting, but it simply doesn't work for me nearly as well. I'm looking forward to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning!
I usually play the mage classes.
My favorite is probebly ranger/rouge with long range 1337nes.. Maybe an agile dual wielder if he was designed in aan intresting way
Melee dps. I've never been good at playing cloth wearing caster classes.
If there is a class with a strong emphasis on ranged combat in the setting, I tend to go with that. If not, generally lean towards "spell-sword" flavored classes.
Well I usually tend to play a mage type character. In reckoning I think i'l be going for the warlock spec.
I usually play Paladin/Warrior.
I usually roll a shadow type, so i can stick to the shadows and stick my enemies in the neck and watch them die in agony and frustration. Tip my daggers in poison and watch your back!
