I love to play hunter/sniper/scout classes because they are usually not boring and require some thought and/or movement. I like straight up melee as well.
Some sort of Melee Combat / Mage Hybrid. There is nothing more entertaining to me than tossing a frost or fire spell at an enemy and then charging in to finish them with a few well placed stabs ;)

In Rpg first time i usually play some high hp warrior type and when i start it again based on my first experience i play some squishy classes like mage or rogue, probably mages are the most fun to play with, and all that eyecandy spell effects :D after I saw some videos on youtube i'll probably try the rogue too, it looks super good with the FaeBladesGreetings from Hungary
I always play RPG's together with my twin brother and we choose class setups. In most cases my brother is with a healer class and I am with a melee dps/tank class. It works really great. In WoW my main is a rogue and his main is a priest and its so much fun 2 manning actual content heroic 5 mans/raids or older raids with them. Rogue and warrior type classes are one of my favourite because they have to most defensive and attacking cooldowns.
When I play any type of RPG's, I always choose to be a Warrior type class. Reason being is that they can wear all the awesome types of gear ranging from light to massive and be able to wield any type of weapon that they can. Love being a warrior because I can also get up in there, stomp face and do alot of heavy hitting to my enemies awhile they can barely put a scratch on me.
I started out with sword and board, but these days I find myself going with rogues or mages because I find it more of a challenge due to different skillsets.
I always tend to play the melee warrior type classes. More specifically, any kind of class that can go toe-to-toe with the enemy up close, can dual-wield, and can focus on attacking quickly. Dual-wielding is my weakness when it comes to choosing a class. I like to focus on melee attackers that attack more quickly with weaker blows than hitting harder with slower blows.
My first playthrough of a game is usually done with a mage/summoner character, mostly because i like the whole summoning thing and mages are usually the class with the most AoE or just straight up damage but lowest survivability. But if i can, i'll usually go for the mage tank/ battlemage kind of class, preferably with summons, trading in my cloth armor for full plate to increase my survivability. My second playthrough is usually done with a tank or heavy armor specialist to tank and keep my party alive. This does depend on the game i'm playing, for instance in Mass Effect I decided to roll a Soldier first, opting to take a heavy armor specialist in favor of a "caster" class first.
only interested in two classes: melee with two onehanded weapons and range dps like hutner
I usually play the Warrior/Fighter classes in my RPG games. Typically dual weilding if possible in the game.
My favorite class is Caster !
For RPGs, I typically play a DPS caster.
Ranger. From Diablo's Amazon to WoW hunter. I like shooting with a bow avoiding mele. Always hunters are one with Nature.
I tend to play both healers and range dps. I do love my mage. :)
