i play support/healers in nearly every single game, ever! :O i just really enjoy helping people reach "their full potential"
I love being a Mage. I've always been one for the really flash spells.

I usually try a bit of everything before settling on a class. Like in WoW I enjoy a healer, Skyrim a conjuring Mage and so on and so forth. It usually boils down to the way the game classes work rather than the philosophy behind a class. If I like mages, doesn't mean I'll play them if its boring in a certain RPG.
Skiter here, when I play and RPG I love to play brawlers either warrior tank types or rogues. I need to be in the front of combat... Oh please pick me. :)
I tend to go with the warrior, although lately I am tired of the melee getting destroyed by ranged classes.
In an MMO, I prefer to go with the tank role, preferably a paladin. In single player I prefer to go the route of ranged damage.
Oh hai! Personally, I enjoy playing caster DPS or healer roles. Sure the light armor is a weakness, but the powerful spells just make them better than everyone else! When I play RPGs, the Mage/Sorcerer class is what suits me best. It is the class that I'm initially driven to play and the class that I enjoy playing the most!
No matter my intentions going in, I usually always end up playing a rogue or rogue-like class. Something about the fast-hitting, more stealthy styles of gameplay have always been more appealing.
I usually play a healer/support class, but also excel at any heavy/tank class. Not so good at rogue-style damage dealers.
Always been a caster for rpgs.. Never understood how can someone go on without the arcane tools at his/her disposal =)
I tend to lean towards melee classes, I prefer the feel of when I press a button something happens rather than the, I press a button and wait several seconds for a spell to go off. However, when I play MMOs "rogue" types appeal to me the most, simply for the ability to choose when you can jump into a fight and if you need to fight at all. But for RPGs in general i seem to play an armored to the teeth, sword and board wielding warrior.
Ranged DPS has always been my preferred class.
