Current Profiler Issues -- Wowhead Profiler Down For Maintenance

Still not getting credit for uploading data via the Wowhead Client. Is this a known issue or am I all alone on this one? I scanned through the posts, from what I read it looks like it is being reported that this is no longer an issue.
Thanks!
I'm in the same boat. Haven't gotten rep for uploading all week, and I've done it about 12 times.

Client is set to automatically open/start when Windows loads. Ever since the issues/problems started it will not do this. I have to manually open the program window myself and it is not in my tool/taskbar as an open program, it has always worked properly since I originally installed it. So went back and reinstalled it , checked preferenves, and still will not open/start at Windows open. The automatic check for updates is working, and data upload appears to be working after it was fixed.
Should I just wait or is there something that I need to do to get it to open/load ?. Did not see anyone else with this issue.

Another tidbit concerning the rep gain for uploading data. My friend has gotten the 25 pt gain 5 days ago, 2 days ago, yesterday and today. Not sure when the week starts and ends for this particular event, but this seems excessive taking in account Ive uploaded every day for 4-5 days, several times per day and havent received any. Im feeling slighted ;). Oh, her username is Dunnamaree if that matters.
Anyway, thot I'd add this info so the powers that be are kept up to date.

The problem with client uploads was that the script to reset the weekly counter did not run this week, but now runs normally. I ran it manually today so you can still get rep, and then it will run as normally scheduled sunday night (I think? Don't really remember when it runs exactly).

Woot! Sounds good. That means that ALL of the issues except the profiler are fixed. Thanks for your work Koper.
I'll change the main page and the topic to just deal with the profiler now, and i'll be getting ride of all the rest of the stuff, since no one has mentioned any problem with the rest of it.
Cheers,
Hat

Thanks Hat, I was wondering.
you might want to add something about
Error!

The profiler database is undergoing maintenance. Some features may not be available
I'd really like it if, once we clicked the red "X" button to close this warning, it
stayed off
(until and unless we log out of wowhead).

If people would read the blue post you would see that the profiler will be down until at least Monday due to other more critical and needed site functions for admins to be worked on.

After a frustrating week of needing to track progress and being unable to do so through this 'past' wowhead profiler option, I began creating my own database last week using Microsoft OneNote to become more independent of the wowhead profiler. I am unfortunately still in need of it to complete some of my 'project tracking' to write into my database. I do hope the wait will not be much longer. It's Monday (the estimated ETA given) morning 7:45am CST-US and even though I am in full understanding of I.T. issues involved in getting this profiler back up and running (server down-times, database crashes, compilation errors, and network bottlenecks), I admit that I am losing faith in given (approximate or indicated) ETA's and questioning future data reliability.

I know its frustrating. Its still early in the morning. Have you thought about exploring more of what Wowhead has to offer in your down time?
I started uploading Screenshots again, its really addicting. Going through the database, finding stuff that doesn't have a screenshot and then trying to hunt the object down in game, to get one. Lol, might sound lame to some people, but it can be fun. Also, Comments! I see you have 3. Personal challenge, can you get 30 by the end of the day?
Cheers,
Hat.
p.s. OneNote? lololololol =P

As I said, I pushed for an ETA and they gave Wednesday; it was not feasible. They've said Monday would work, however, it's 7AM on a Monday here,,..no one is even at work (I'm just emailing people)...and I imagine it won't be until tonight that we can see if it's happening. The person who has to do the final part to bring it back up is also our server admin rather than Koper, myself, or Aryu so it's also a little slower on that end as he runs all of ZAM versus just Wowhead =)
I am very sorry for the delay and I really hope it comes up, because our fans want it and I know it's a tool many of you use.

I'm really surprised about the number of "fan boy" posts in here.
I'm not. Honestly I wish there were more posts about understanding and support.
What happened to the wowhead site is bad. Really bad!
Yeah it is. Stuff happens. You need to roll with the punches sometimes. Thankfully, Wowhead is one of the best database sites on the web for WoW, and even though they lose a resource like this for a week, people will still be coming right back to use it when it goes back up.
No matter how hard they are working on it, nobody of staff/moderators has ever bothered to talk about the reason. No sticky with known/resolved issues has been posted by moderators or staff.
We've been spoiled. We've been spoiled by an incredible openness in communication from the moderators and admins. They don't need to have this feedback forum here. They don't need to tell you whats going on. Sometimes they won't. This is one of those times.
I'm ok with this. I'm ok with this because I've been using wowhead for almost 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier with their track record. The site has changed many hands, the people that run and support it have come and gone, yet the constancy to make and keep it as one of the best sites has never changed.
Cheers,
Wowhead Fan boy

Thank you for the update, Ashelia. Communication is key in keeping 'customers' (or fans) satisfied, and your prompt reply is appreciated. I am sure your server admin is inundated with upkeep and that the profiler is only a small part of an overall network that needs maintained. I agree with untossable around the fact that no one has mentioned the reason for this happening (a little frustrating for us fans who have more than a little knowledge of infrastructure), but I do understand there is only so much that can be communicated so not to breach 'company confidentiality' and risk network security. Thank you for the (possible) ETA. I will explain more of what I am doing with the profiler in my upcoming response to hatman.

I would strongly suggest to contribute to an open source project like linux/gentoo/debian kernel, mozilla firefox, google/android, etc. to get a more openminded view about what is "incredible openness".
Which Wowhead is not. So yes, it does have lots of openness with its members.
Hat
p.s. Points for "openminded" pun tho =P
