My New Years resolution, hmm... Not to die.
To help my guildies and guild more and to stop trade trolling.
My New Year's Resolution is to get healthier. Boring, I know, but I recently turned 42 and middle age slows you do. I need to lose some weight (my goal is to drop 60lbs this year, starting with 20 this month and then slowing down). I have lots of individual, specific goals to meet, pushups, running distances and times, etc. I am doing the Do Life Challenge, a few 5ks, and a 1/2 marathon in October.I am doing this not just to get healthier, but because I need to be in shape for my kids. Two years ago my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and she has responded well to chemo, but the long term prognosis is not good. Then to make things even crappier, my (then)Two year old was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, another rare cancer, Thanksgiving week, 2011. She is 3 now and the expectation is that she will be cancer free after a long year of surgery and chemo and maybe radiation. Meanwhile, my 6 year old is upset with all that is going on, so I need to be able to play with her, ride bikes, etc.Plus I am going to the hospital weekly (or more) with chemo trips, infections, whatever.I need to keep my immune system up so I don't get sick, plus I often have to carry my 3 year old up and down stairs or in and out of buildings. That is why my resolution is to get very healthy. Warcraft is my escape. Questing, getting involved in the story lines, laughing at trade chat, all let me think of other things than the crapstorm that is the rest of my life right now. Warcraft lets me be someone else for a few hours, and at $15/month, it is way cheaper than booze! My in game resolutions are simple: level my mage to 85 and try to get over 6000 achievement points on my main hunter, CognosiI definetly want to get Mountain o' Mounts, Petting Zoo, Classic Dungeonmaster, and From Hell's Heart I Stab at Thee along with a few Rep ones.
To possibly put the horrible ways of procrastination in the past, score a 4.0 in this semester, down at least one heroic boss in Dragon Soul, and just be more awesome. :D
In game: level my druid and priest to 85 and get 100 mounts on my mainIn real life: Pay off debt and save money
I want to finally reach 100 mounts on one of my characters.
To finish HS strong so I can get into the college that I want and study computer science there so that I can eventually be a programmer and come work for my favorite site :)
