I like challenges so my resolution this year is to travel and work overseas. My WoW resolution is to setup my own guild, recruit a successful raid team and have some fun.
My resolution is to be more patient with others and go the extra mile to show others real kindness. Our world is in general chaos on so many fronts, and kindness and patience with others I hope will have a calming effect. I will for me if nothing else.
Althought i was tempted by the usual and somewhat generic 'Lose weight and exercise more' resolution, i decided i probably wouldnt stick to it. So i decided to make a wow one, to knuckle down and finish my 'Insane' title that i started in Wrath. And when thats done have no life and reach 14k achievement points. I finally got 13k before the New year. im sure i can grind 1k more! However much blood, sweat and tears it may cost me.
Actually, my New Year's resolution is to help my friend deal with her chemotherapy. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor on December 28th, and we are all really scared for her. She's really afraid of doing chemo, because of the side affects. But like I said, we are all going to help her get through it and survive it.
I have made a resolution to obtain that white drake flying mount, and to pay better attention to my inner thoughts. They are often more right than wrong.
I have one resolution this year: Find a meaningful, achieveable goal, and strive towards that goal. The problem is that, when life is pretty good - as it has been for me - it's easy to fall into a routine. Get up, play with the kids and get them off to school, go to work, come home to my wife and enjoy a movie or a board game, maybe play some video games; why should I be looking for a job? Studying for additional certifications or licenses? Things are good! But the future is unpredictable, and uncertainty requires preparation, but routine inevitably precedes boredom, and boredom is dangerous. Boredom leads to mischief, accidents, and irrational behavior. I need to keep myself moving forward, trying to better myself and, consequently, the lives of my loved ones. But how? For what should I be striving? This search for self - finding something to reach for - this is my resolution. I need to challenge my mind and body and become a better husband, father, and human being so that I can leave behind well-balanced children to a world slightly improved for my having been here. How to challege myself is in and of itself my challenge, and I resolve to find that challenge so that next year, when asked my resolution, I can say, "Oh, yes, I figured that out last year."Happy gaming,Boz
