6/10. Surprising, actually.
Did you know that in the early 80s the Internet did exist, but only about 500 computers had "access" to it?

7/10 Did not know that. But Christmas is after his birthday, and that's the day Christmas is on...but whatevs! :D
I'm sorry, I don't think I understood what you said. Could you please explain?
@Interest
5/10 It depends on what we use as the definition of internet.
Did you know that coffee, despite popular belief, does
not
stunt growth, in a child or otherwise?
8/10 Coffee is also very tasty :D
I believe Christmas marks the day of Jesus Christ's birthday.

The amount of available IP addresses (IPv4) is actually less than the total world population.

6/10 Interesting tidbit.
(Should be common knowledge...but): Back in the day, IBM made a computer program that could play Jeopardy that used an enormous number of databases to find answers. It actually played on the show Jeopardy (a couple times, to my recollection).

0/10, that isn't true:

Did you know that, despite popular belief, it does not take air an equal time to move over the top of a plane wing than under the bottom?
That's not really "popular" belief as I don't think most people know anything about aerodynamics. But could you explain?
8/10 I remember hearing about it.
Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Apple were all started in garages...
3/10 I think most companies are.
Killer "whales" are more closely related to dolphins than to whales.

7/10, only because of the way it is phrased, perhaps even meant, suggests that a killer whale is only similar to a dolphin. Killer whales are actually in the dolphin family, making it a fully fledged dolphin, not just related to them.
I actually didn't know that.
Did you know that the theory of evolution does not suggest we evolved from chimpanzees?
7/10 because anyone who took high school biology should know this, but still many people make this claim.
In Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia you may choose the electric chair instead of lethal injection. In Washington you may choose to be hanged. And in California and Wyoming you may choose lethal gas.

Surprising. Doesn't Texas also have some sort of alternative...or...?

Did you know jellyfish can technically be immortal?

Surprisingly, lethal injection is the only method in Texas. But Texas does use the death penalty more than any other states by far (about 37% of all executions in the US occurred in Texas).
And that one about jellyfish is really cool and led me to some interesting reading. Thanks :)
I've heard something about that. Very cool. 8/10. Also, I heard some plants and turtles actually have that potential too. Never checked to see if it's true though.
Did you know that the United States' Declaration of Independence wasn't really signed on the 4th of July, it was only approved on that day?
5.5/10 I didn't know that, but I don't have much interest in history/government anyway.
This one is probably more known but I still find it very interesting. Hitler was Time Magazine's man of the year in 1938.

To be honest, I'm actually NOT surprised by that. 5/10
Did you know the game Cave Story was fully developed by a single person?
