Producing another sequel is their archaic solution to having no better ideas of their own.

It's kind of amazing how conservative everyone gets when their internet is threatened. I'm glad you all "get it" that government intervention cannot help the situation of the internet. You can see the big picture. Now, try to see the big picture on government intervention in other aspects of your life: healthcare, education, transportation, religion, etc. On the surface, it may seem like government intervention is necessary to prevent something bad from happening, but it always ends in a disaster for everyone.

Not really no. Denmark's government has a huge influence on all those things and we are doing way better than America.

Denmark also exports massive amounts of fuel. The government, while taking over a LOT, has made a lot of very psudo capitalistic choices that have profited the system. You all are one little environmental group and a populist politician away from a total collapse of your economy.

We don't make fuel here. It's Norway that has those massive oil platforms in the North Sea (we gave them away >.>). And our politics have been, for as long as I can remeber, a mix of capitalism and socialism. Capitalism only is bad, just as socialism only is bad.

I will take care of my own health.
Will you get insurance though? That's a way of sharing the social costs of illness: you're betting you won't get ill and the insurance companies like the odds. If you do get ill, the people who are healthy are footing the bill and the insurance company loses out slightly on profit. Not to mention that more Americans die each year from a lack of healthcare than are murdered (and more die from iatrogenic causes than from a lack of healthcare, but that's an aside). I'd guess most Conservatives think the police are necessary, but their costs are socialised rather than them being a mercenary force. Most right wing libertarians of the Ron Paul school that I've met would be happy for their taxes being used to purchase a police baton to prevent a woman from getting an abortion, but not food for her starving children. Not to mention that petty theft (which I'm guessing will increase when unemployed people have no recourse to food stamps) usually entails more jail time than multibillion dollar theft. Still, it's a notable improvement on the situation a century ago, where theft could get one executed at the age of 14.
I want my parents to be the only ones involved in my education, not the government.
Right, back to the golden era (Victorian period) where there was a 50% literacy rate for males and a 33.3~% rate for females. People think education is bad in America at the moment with an adult literacy rate of above 90%...

I'm...sorry...in what country are children being stolen to be educated? In the US, they're removed from their homes because their parents can afford to feed them, or because they beat them with 2 by 4's or do heroine and pass out in the kitchen. And the way the system is overburdened, a lot of times they don't even remove them then. Where are we removing children for the good of their education?
Also, since we're on the topic of education...it's "their" homes and "their families." There is for a place- it's not possessive. And the plural of "family" is "families." "Family's" would imply you are discussing something that belongs to the family, and not multiple families. Also, you'd like us to "bear" with you...asking us to "bare" with you would be inappropriate.
But, yeah...you're making a very clear case for the need for public education. It may not be the case you intended to make, but it's a strong one.
EDIT: Haha- last night, he put up a response to this post, but when I came to respond this morning, it was gone.

How is it that linking Fox News can be treated with derision and ignored for bias, but linking random YouTube videos is somehow valid and credible and contains all the relevant information on the matter?
Now, there may be issues with the way countries might fulfill their requirements under ACTA. SOPA was going to be the US's legislation in order to comply with ACTA. However, the DCMA in its current form would also comply, based on what I've read.
The latest version of ACTA I could find is
here, dated 15 April
. Please feel free to provide quotes from the text (with page references as well, if possible, to make it easier to find for others) that you think requires an unjustified invasion of privacy.
The issues on counterfeiting with regards to foods and drugs is, for all intents and purposes, justified, as soon as you realise that opening the doors to grain seeds legitimises cheap Chinese knockoffs of just about every product in the world.

Because Fox News has a demonstrable case history of bias, documented by...
random youtube videos
!
Every poll on the matter
! Whose
multi-billion dollar owner
is probably the least
controversial
man
in the
media
. For more on why an independent opinion piece may be more credible than one with editorial oversight, consult "George Orwell Rolls in his Grave" or "Manufacturing Consent".
Anyway, you're correct that I misinterpreted the chronology of the legislation (though depending on interpretation, my post wouldn't have revealed that). You're equivocating or ignorant of the recency of the precedence of
copyrighting genes
in your last statement. Oh, what a surprise: Fox appears in that "random YouTube video".

FoxNews has a conservative slant. Most other news outlets have a liberal slant. The short comings of the liberally slanted news outlets will be forgiven by liberals, or just flat out ignored, as if they have nothing wrong with them at all. But, how would the nearly only conservative slanted media outlet (Fox) be treated by a crowd of young biased liberals? Picked apart for any mistakes, and when mistakes are found, mocked, mocked, mocked. Same thing happens with religions, actually, by the growing atheist crowd. Of course, they will point out that atheism is the minority, so they will also mock you for thinking they are out of line for mocking people... which is just more mockery. It's double standard hypocritical nonsense. They won't stand for the same dismissals of their biased stuff, when it is obviously biased. The only answer you have, is to play by their rules, because they literally CAN'T play any other rules. They don't have it in them. You have to find a liberally slanted source, or completely objective fact, that points out the liberal is wrong. Keep in mind they will want a second source. As it turns out, doing that is not really that difficult. Many liberal tenants stand in direct contradiction to all reason and common sense. Proving them wrong on their field of play is what I could do all day long. I never win, though. You'll never win either. People will just get mad at you that they were wrong, and all the other liberals will be mad at you that you made their friend mad. It's just one big childish mess. Don't question it. There are no good answers. Just play along, or don't play.

I may not be on first name terms with my flatmates, but we still
reside in the same house
. Many
conservative commentators
are sleeping in a mansion several counties over.
That said, I'd be more than willing to address any substantiated claims of systematic bias if you have evidence for them?
As far as I know, I've never "mocked" Fox News without providing some other source which demonstrated precisely why it does not deserve to be treated as a credible news source.
