You probably are. I remember when this was posted on Reddit and people rushed in with kind words and stories of themselves being bullied to help this kid out. They poured their hearts out only to find out that he was just "lol jk i r attention *!@#$"
Though if anything positive came out of this guy, is that maybe someone who is a victim of bullying can see where a lot of people have gathered to support each other.

And hopefully someone will get it on a camera phone and post it so that his first video can be proven true.

I would love to get a law passed by the federal governement making it a crime to not respond to bullying and also make anyone who bullies be tried as an adult.

the problem with america is discipline.
the kid is under 18, anything bad that they do, we will give it minimal consequence or just let it slide.
we need to have a system that has no tolerance for these type of things, especially with education.

The problem is that there is no set-in-stone definition of bullying.

One teacher sees a kid call another kid a booger face. Teacher does nothing. Booger face kid tells parents what happened. Parents have teacher thrown in federal penitentiary for 15 years, and lose his job, for not stopping bullying.
I get what you are saying. There should be laws in place to protect people. BUT! there needs to be a common sense approach to the law.
But, in the end, none of that will fix the problem. The only way you will fix bullying, is by teaching kids to be loving and kind and stand up for what is good and right. Kids today are raised by the the oakland raiders, Zelda, and the Kardashians, and morals are taught by fellow students, and 4chan. Parents took a rain check, went to the bar to piss away Junior's college money, and complain about how the economy hurt them so much. Instead of handwriting and math, kids have sex ed. Instead of philosophy, kids have Hannah Montana. Instead of reading, kids have iphones.
What did we expect? A righteous and moral youth that supports each other and expresses love for all?

Complementary to writing and math actually. In fact, countries that regularly have comprehensive compulsory sex education classes such as the Scandinavian ones have about an 1/8th of the US rate of teen pregnancy and all came in above the US in
math, reading and science
skills (although the tests may be skewed in that they discriminate in favour of those that believe in a spherical oblate earth, the heliocentric model, a several billion year old universe and the theory of evolution by natural selection: y'know, liberal conspiracies).
In fact, spending several million dollars to keep children ignorant or in some cases lie to them has been shown to be
ineffective
- shocking studies show.

That was probably the most narrow-minded, ignorant, and in part straight up idiotic thing thing I've seen or heard in a rather long time. I'd love to pick it apart piece by piece, but at this point I don't think it's worth the effort. I think you had about two arguably true sentences in that entire post, which I agree with, and those were the first two. As a 'kid today,' the only response I really feel that post deserves is "No."

So you feel that I am mistaken, and children today are brought up to respect one another? You don't feel that too much time goes to useless nonsense? I'd love to hear your supporting arguments. This is about how your post looks to me:
Kids today aren't learning the important things in life, like respect.I'm a kid and nu-huh.

I might agree with your post Mytie if it weren't for the fact that what I experienced predates most of your examples of poor parenting. I really think kids today aren't being brought up that much differently than in the past, adults always say the same things about kids and how they're being raised. Bullying isn't some new and unheard of issue, but that doesn't mean we don't need to seek a solution for it.

I'd agree that the problems aren't new.
