This game is awesome, and makes me feel great! I love it more every release. It is a big part of me (like many other people) because we played so much time in it, in the first release and forward from there.
To me this game is what made the concept created by 'Dungeons and Dragons' popular once again. They put a ton of time into it at the beginning and it worked. I am so happy they made player-versus-player more competitive by creating gear that doesn't take eons to acquire. Because the game has been changed to cater more to casual players, I spend more time in real life with the less need for time dedication. I am not displeased with the current level of change in the game as expansions are sold.

I believe Darkerdesign was referring to the fact that vanilla WoW was not what many remember it as. There were a lot of bugs and issues that came with it being a new game, and that Blizzard has done a lot to improve things over the years. I'm sure you have wonderful memories of WoW 6 years ago, but s/he is saying that while you may have physically played the game, you may not have experienced all aspects of it.
And as for the topic of the thread, I met my husband and a close friend on WoW, so it will always hold a special place in my heart for the memories I have with them.

Well, after 5 years of playing, it IS redundant. The only things that make me want to play is because I have characters and I am somewhat good at WoW. It's been a month that I can't play, and now that I retrieved my computer from HP's greedy hands, I don't even want to reinstall it, because what is there to do? Dailies? What for, I don't have time to raid. PVP? What for, I don't have time to do arena. Dungeons? What for, the gear I'll collect in the new dungeons will only make it easier to complete (the dungeons) since I don't raid.
I truly agree with you. Well I have time for raiding 4 nights a week or for some serious pvp still pve is so boring right now
they turned WoW pve into kid game
. For pvp, classes are rather unbalanced as usual and it's now hard to find skilled, experienced pvp seeking team mates.
