Will I roll a monk? no.
your loss.
why? it's a panda
/facepalm.
You do realize monks can be of EVERY RACE IN THE GAME (minus worgens and goblins) right?
and a cop-out for a new class concept.
now this you will have to elaborate on. Because so far the monks are very unique in their class design.
If we're lucky Rank, he's on the next bus out of Warcraft and we don't have to deal with him anymore.

Sadly he probably IS on the next bus out of Warcraft, yet will deem it necessary to remain here to whine.
Edit: new quote-box design SUCKS.

1. What will be your Monk's name?
Professor (title from archeology) Moriarty
2. What will be his/her race?
Human Male
3. What will be his/her spec?
Primary PVE: Brewmaster
Secodnary PVE/PVP Spec: Mistweaver
4. Are you looking forward to playing a monk, and if yes, then why?
Absolutely. This class, as a tank, is very powerful in skilled hands while very weak in unskilled hands. I like classes that reward you for practicing and performing a tight priority rotation.
It reminds me to some degree what warriors used to feel like, back when agro wasn't super easy. Agro is still really easy, but survival is on such a razor's edge for the class, active mitigation is incredibly important, and if you mess that up, you die. If you do it well? You have more EFH than a bear.

I don't want to be too decisive about it, because usually when I say I'll main something for sure I end up picking a different class later on, but Monk is looking like it'll be a possibility as a main.
The Pros:
New class, so it'll be fresh after two expansions as my Druid and 2 as my DK
They can Tank/Heal/DPS. I enjoy playing my DK but I do miss being able to fill the role of healer when needed. It also gives me more gear to work towards/more roles to learn, which are the most fun parts of the game for me.
The abilities Monks are getting look both strong and fun.
I can't race change my DK to a Panda, so re-rolling a Monk will let me be the new race.
I'm not positive about this yet, but I'm assuming (hoping) Monks will get one of the really cool "dish" hats (Not sure of the official name) and maybe some giant prayer beads. That'd be pretty cool looking imo.
The Cons:
Leveling a new character is going to suck, the Pandarian starting area will be nice and Azeroth really isn't THAT bad, but once I get to Outlands I'm going to want to quit because Outlands is beyond boring. Northrend is okay and Cata isn't bad either (Not as good as Northrend) but still, all together leveling is going to be a grind, no getting around that.
DPS is going to be hard early on. Early in the expansion nobody is probably going to know how to DPS with a Monk, so I probably won't be able to top charts like I did on my DK. Granted, all the other classes will change too, but at least we'll have an idea of what to do with them. This is more of a minor point, since it won't take too long to figure out how to play it well enough and learning is fun, just pulling crap DPS while you learn isn't.
MoP comes out when college starts back. Ok this is kind of a cop out and it goes with the first con, but I can't stress how much the grind is a turn off to me. I've got limited time as it is, enough to raid once or twice a week, but I don't know how long it'll take me to get from 1 to 90 ><

I believe you might like the looks of the first raiding set for Monks...
