If you absolutely insist on applying a Black vs White scale to something that was written for Shades of Grey, yes, Chris Nolan's Batman is White.

no one in the real world is black or white.
There are truly good people in this world, and truly evil people too. Not everyone is grey.
And the truly good do bad things at times, and the truly evil do good.

And looking at the world like you can categorize everyone as either a White Hat or a Black Hat is a very childish view, as other then a very small number of individuals, such as Mother Teresa and those like her, there are no pure 'good' people in the world; everyone has something in them.
But the thing is, whether you accept or not, gray morality exists all across the world, and is in pretty much every person on the planet.

If you think about it, the only truly good and truly evil people are God and Satan.
Why?
Because God is the only one to have laid down a completely set in stone morality system, and Satan the only one to completely flout it.
Everyone else is in a shade of grey.

He'd be grey if he murdered the rich folk and as well as took their money. He was a trained fighter and killed quite a few people in the original stories.

As for robin hood, I'd say he's white. Because of the fact that, if I recall, he steels from the greedy rich minority, while the majority of the people are poor and starving, and they don't give a damn. All he's doing is stealing some money from them and giving it to the poor who actually need it, not even keeping any for himself. He'd be grey if he murdered the rich folk and as well as took their money.
So stealing isn't wrong arbitrarily wrong, but murder is?
He'd be grey if he murdered the rich folk and as well as took their money. He was a trained fighter and killed quite a few people in the original stories.
Also he gave money to other rich nobility he supported more, specifically Crusader's returning to England if I remember correctly, as there had been an attempted usurping.

Different writer, different robin hood.
So you're objectively basing a character off of a few selected stories?

Pick a character
Pick a moral system that the character would adhere to
Congratulations, black and white morality!
Pick a character
Pick a moral system that the character does not adhere to
Congratulations, gray morality!

And you'd go by the oldest to figure out which is the right version: In that case, the ones where Robin Hood did kill people as he was a soldier in addition to being an outlaw...and as Face said, he also supported King Richard who was a part of the Crusades, since that's how Prince John took over.
Although, the first robin hood I ever knew was Disney's Robin Hood, the animated anthro robin hood movie.Which has only a passing relation to the actual stories, same as all of the other Disney retelling of old tales: Cinderella had the step sisters hacking and slashing at their own feet to make them fit in the slippers, the Wicked Queen tried 3 times to kill Snow White, the original Hunchback of Notre Dame during the final scene, Quasimodo did not try to save Frollo; he just watched him die. So yeah......

Still a mere shadow of the original version.
