Hallow's End, because Halloween is truely the best holiday ever.

Winter Veil is my favorite holiday because...well...it was the first real holiday in a video game that I honestly got into and gave me something I was missing at the time. When I joined WoW in September of 2010, I was pretty new to the whole fantasy MMORPG genre having just come off of playing EVE Online for three years. So sufficed to say, I was a tad burned out and looking for something that was a distracting good time. I had read about WoW and heard about it in the news but because of a few bad apples, my expectations were low. I picked out a server, and decided to roll a dwarf hunter....just because I thought hey..I'm from wisconsin...snow...cold...hunting...drinking...these are things I grew up around. I started out in Coldwind Valley, and my jaw dropped a little...it was simple yet...gorgeous...I progressed through the zones and leveled up, slowly but surely. I reveled in each zone and read all of the quest texts, happily taming pet after pet and just immersing myself in the world. Sadly due to my real life job, I kind of missed out on a few holidays, so I was determined to see what Winter Veil was all about. The Shattering came and went and Cataclysm launched, our world changed along with my life. I work in a hospital so I see a lot of, not so great things, winter was coming as was Winter Veil and my mood was...souring to say the least. My first guild that I had joined had collapsed due to in-fighting amongst the guild officers and I wasn't really enjoying the game anymore, nonetheless I still wanted to see what Winter Veil was like, maybe it'd be different maybe I'd enjoy myself. Work in the real world took over once more and I did not make it to Ironforge to the festivities until December 21st. The first few quests were fun and I found myself giggling like a kid again as I pelted random people with snowballs and joked with people around the holiday tree in Ironforge. Then Christmas came in the real world a few days later....sadly I wasn't able to make it home to see my parents...so...I did the only thing I could...logged into WoW and, well, to my surprise..I found a few other people with similar stories. So we shared tales of holidays gone past, danced, yelled, hollered, slugged back egg nogg, opened up presents under the Ironforge tree, and ran some dungeons. The day flew past and what I had thought was going to be an otherwise dull and depressing day, turned out to have lifted my spirits and...given me a Merry Christmas...in a video game...that kind of struck me as odd but I consider it my own little Winter Veil miracle. Since then I have moved onto other characters and a different server but now that that special time of year is coming around again, I'm reminded of the fond times I shared, and the warmth that Winter Veil brought into my life. It sounds cheesy and corny but....it made me happy...and this year I hope to have another merry winter veil and maybe this time around, I can bring about a similar miracle for someone else.
The Lunar Festival, if only because all of the delicious free rep. (Well, it doesn't matter quite so much anymore, but it used to be a great bonus.)
Winterveil, because as far as I can remember, it was the first holiday to be celebrated in WOW. Or mabye the presents were the only ones memorable :)
My favorite holiday on WoW is Love is in the Air, who doesn't love Cupid Kwee Q. Peddlefeet? :D
I think my favorite holiday in World of Warcraft has to be the Lunar Festival. Travelling to see all the elders, moving through every single zone - it brings back memories. I have fond memories in almost every zone of this game, from blooming relationships to old and new friends. Sometimes it's bittersweet - the relationships that didn't last, or remembering the friends that left the server, left the game, or even left us all - but most of the times I'm happy to remember the things I enjoy most about this game: the people. It's also my time to make an in-game resolution. Sometimes, I vow to learn to pvp; sometimes it's to RP more; or maybe just to make a new friend, be kinder to strangers unprovoked or help someone who is having a hard time. While I don't RP as much as I used to, and I still don't know how to pvp, I've made good friends and I hope to keep them for a long while, possibly after Azeroth fades into the nether. I think about all of these things as I travel flightpoint to flightpoint, zone to zone, remembering all the better moments I have because of this land I get to call home some hours of the week.
Mine is Hallow's end also, i love the headless mount look and the instant broom is so nice! :)The new added companion is so nice with its own broom and its hat
hallow's end: feline companion riding its own little broomstick while you ride yours FTW!
Working as a fisherman my favorite holiday is the "Day of the pirates." Several of my friends play in the same guild and that day we pirate costume to go to work, including our captain. It is a pity that only last a day! Greetings from Galicia (Spain)! Arrrrr sailors!
Honestly, I have to say Love is in the Air.Not for the traditional reasons. My favorite color is Pink. The one Pink mount in this game comes from the event. Sure, the drop rate is so abysmal I'll probably never see it in my time on WoW, but I still try every single day during the event, hoping to get it. The pretty dresses that come from the event are only a plus. :P
PICK ME! :D
BREWFEST Chug!
